Imagine being a 5 year old ghost and Annie takes care of you like a sister. Once Mitchell and George arrive, you develop a brother-sister relationship with the Vampire and Werewolf.

You

had no idea how you died. One minute, you, at five years old, were standing at the top of the stairs in your new house, the next, black. The next thing you knew, you were a ghost. Forever attached to the house you were living in. No one was able to see or hear you, or even touch you. You watched as your family soon moved out. Other families moved in and left. Time went on while you stayed the same.

A few years later, a woman,

who had moved into the house with her Fiancé, had died and come back as a ghost. At first, you were scared and hid for the fist few weeks that she was there with you. But slowly, as she weeks dragged on, you slowly started to trust her and soon, you stuck by her side.
You leaned that her name was Annie Sawyer. When Annie heard your story, her heart broke. She promised that she would look after you from that moment forward.
A few months after you had met Annie, two men started moving into the house.
You watched from behind the curtains, clinging to Annie's hand. One of the men with glasses looked up and caught a glimpse of you. You and Annie quickly moved further into the shadows of the house. You glanced up at Annie.
"Annie, who are those men? Are they going to hurt us?" You asked in your five year old voice. Annie shook her head, still looking at the men.

"I don't know, [Y/N]," she said. She then turned to you and knelt down to your height, looking into your [e/c] eyes. "[Y/N], I want you to go upstairs while I look into the situation. Don't come out unless I come for you, understand?" Annie asked. You nodded and did as you were told. A few seconds later, Annie came running up the steps, startling you. She had the biggest grin on her face. "[Y/N], they can see me!" She shouted, smiling. Your face broke out into a big smile, eyes twinkling in excitement.

"Really?!" You asked excitedly. Annie nodded.

"You should come and meet them!" Annie said, smiling. Your smile fell and you shook your head, backing away slightly. Annie smiled gently and knelt down to your height. "[Y/N], they aren't going to hurt you." She said gently. You looked into her eyes, searching them for any kind of lie. Finding no sign, you reluctantly nodded and held up your arms. Annie smiled and picked you up, holding you close. As she walked down, she caught the attention of the two men. One of the men had slicked back, black hair and brown eyes.

The other man had short, dirty brown hair and blue eyes.

Their eyes drifted to your from in Annie's arms. You looked at the two with distrust in your eyes. The black haired male smiled gently.

"Aww, whose this littl' gumdrop, Annie?" The man asked. He had an Irish accent. Annie looked at you and gently bounced you in her arms, smiling.

"This is [Y/N]. She's a ghost, just like me." Annie explained. The man with the glasses smiled at you. You whimpered and hid your face in Annie's neck, taking on the 'I can't see you, you can't see me' mindset. The man's smile fell. Annie looked at him.
"She's just shy, George," Annie said. She then set you down, your face still hidden in her neck. She gently rubbed your back. "[Y/N], sweetheart, can you say hello to Mitchell and George?" She asked quietly. You quickly peaked at the male. He gave you a smile, which was contagious, casing you to hide your own smile by hiding your face again. Mitchell chuckled and gently knelt down to your height. You peaked at him, watching his every move.

"Hello, [Y/N]. My name is John Mitchell. It's very nice to meet you." He said. You looked at Annie, silently communicating with her. Annie nodded. She looked at Mitchell.

"Mitchell, hold out your hand." She requested. Mitchell looked at the Ghost, slightly confused, but did so anyway. You slowly walked up to Mitchell and took hold of one of his fingers. You closed your eyes. When you opened them, they were glowing golden.

Mitchell looked up at Annie with worry.
"Annie, her eyes." Mitchell said, worry lacing his voice. Annie smiled gently, not seeming worried at all.

"It's alright. She's just assessing you." She said. George, who was now standing next to Mitchell, looked at Annie, just as confused as Mitchell was.

"Assessing him?" George asked. Annie nodded. Her eyes drifted down to your form.

"She's assessing your aura, determining whether you're a good person or someone who will try to hurt her." Annie explained. Mitchell and George watched as your eyes slowly turned from golden, to yellow,

to light blue

and finally settled on green.
"You've been hurt," you whispered. "You have hurt others. You're a Vampire." You whispered. You closed your eyes. When you opened them again, they returned to their normal [e/c] color. You stared at Mitchell in wonder. You gently reached up and touched his cheek with your finger tips. His skin was cold. Your other hand moved up to your face, touching your skin, which was also cold to the touch. "You're like me," you whispered, your hands falling to rest by your side. You smiled and looked at Annie. "Annie, he's like me!" You said in happiness. Annie hummed.
"Hmm, sort of, like you." She said. Mitchell chuckled at your excitement. Mitchell looked from George to you.

"[Y/N], would you like to meet George?" He asked. You nodded hesitantly. Mitchell stood. Your small hand grasped onto one of his fingers. You and Mitchell turned to face George. The awkward yet kind man knelt before you.

"H-hello, [Y/N]," he said hesitantly. "M-my name is George, George Sands." He said. You smiled shyly at him.

"Hold out your hand please." You requested. George hesitantly held out his hand, palm facing up. You laid your hand on top of his. His skin was warm in contrast to Mitchell's cold skin. Again, you closed you eyes. Opening them, they glowed golden, then yellow, then light blue and settled on green. "You've been hurt," you whispered. "And you continue to hurt every full moon. You're a Werewolf." You said. You closed your eyes and opened them. They stopped glowing. George gave a light laugh as you retracted your hand, his eyes remaining on the spot where your hand once was.

"That's amazing," George whispered. He looked at you. "Why did your eyes turn green?" He asked.

"When my eyes glow golden, that means I'm currently assessing you. My eyes switch colors depending on the person's aura. For example, when I assessed your Aura," you looked at Mitchell. "They turned yellow. Yellow symbolizes kindness and humor," you looked at George. "They turned blue. Blue symbolizes sadness, pain and fear," you looked to Mitchell again. "They turned green. Blue and Yellow mixed together make green, it symbolizes that even though you are kind and full of humor, you also hold a great deal of sadness, pain and fear." You explained. Mitchell and George stared in amazement.

"That's amazing." They said together. Mitchell then took your hand in his, pulling it up to place it over where his heart would be. If he still had a heartbeat, you imagined it would sound like a human's heart.

"[Y/N], you have my word that I will do my upmost to protect you from anything that would bring you harm, even if I must protect you from myself." Mitchell promised. George took your other hand, placing it over his heart. You felt the beating of it.

"You have my word that I will protect you, even if it is from the monster that lives inside me." George said. They let go of your hands. You kept them there for a little bit, covering the vesicles that not only pumped blood throughout their bodies, in George's case, but also held an incredible amount of love for those they cared about.

It had been a few years since you had met the Vampire and Werewolf. You were still the same age you were when you died, 5 years old. Annie realized that humans could now see you both. While she was extremely excited about it, you, not so much. You preferred to stay by the side of your Ghost, your Vampire and your Werewolf.

The doorbell rang, signaling that pizza was here. Annie immediately ran to the door to start a conversation with the human behind the door. You stayed where you were, sitting in the lap of George and playing with his fingers. While Annie was talking to the man, Mitchell hopped up and took money to pay the man. Mitchell took the pizza and came back inside. Being a ghost, you didn't need to eat. Which was sad. You missed the taste of pizza. Annie closed the door and smiled.

"He saw me!" She said excitedly. Mitchell walked through, eating a slice of pizza.

"He SO saw you." He said, making you giggle.

"I'm so happy! People can finally see me!" She said excitedly. She looked at the three of you. "Now, who wants tea?" She asked.

"Ugh." George groaned. Annie's smile fell and she turned to look at George.

"What?" She asked.

"Always with the tea! There are literally mugs everywhere filled with either coffee or tea! I want to make myself a cup of tea, but I can't because it's already made!" He shouted. You giggled as his voice rose in pitch. Annie looked at him.

"I like my routine." Annie said. "It makes me feel normal." She said. George stuttered in disbelief.

"Y-you're a ghost!" He shouted. "You can't even drink it!" He said. He looked at you. "No offence, [Y/N]." He said. You giggled and kissed his cheek.

"No offence taken, George." You said. Mitchell put down the pizza box.

"Right. Well, we should get going, George." He said. George nodded and picked you up, setting you on the couch next to him.

"Right, you both off to work?" Annie asked. Mitchell nodded.

"Yup. Off to work. It's also his time of month." Mitchell said. You got off of the couch and walked over, holding Annie's hand. George had explained to you that every full moon he changed into a werewolf and that was why you didn't see him on those nights until the morning. George smiled and walked over to you, kneeling down to your height.

"I will see you in the morning, sweetheart." He said, poking your nose. You giggled at his action, making him smile. He leaned in and gave you a kiss to the forehead. You then put your arms around his neck and hugged him. George hugged back. He pulled away and stood up, joining Mitchell near the door. Mitchell looked at you and raised his eye brows and opened his arms.

"What about me? Where's my hug?" He asked. You giggled and ran to him. Chuckling, he lifted you into the air, tossing you and catching you, then bringing you into a hug. You kept giggling. Mitchell kissed the side of your head. "I'll see you later, Jellybean." He said, setting you down. Jellybean, along with Gumdrop, were one of the nicknames Mitchell called you. You nodded.

"Okay. Be safe," you looked at George. "Both of you." George smiled.

"Always." He said. You skipped back to Annie's side, taking her hand once again. Annie smiled at the two.

"See you later then!" She called. She looked down at you. "Well, now that we're alone," she said. "Do you want to play some music and have our own dance party while the boys are gone?" She asked. A smile broke out across your face and you jumped up and down.

"Yeah!" You shouted. Annie laughed and took you hand, leading you to the living room.

A few hours later, night had fallen and you were sleeping on the couch. Though it wasn't essential for ghosts to sleep, you still wanted to keep that humanity in you and pretend you were at least normal. Annie quietly went about cleaning the house. She noticed that the blanket had fallen off of you in you sleep. She smiled and walked over, pulling the blanket up to your chin. She gently moved a stray piece of your [H/C] hair behind your ear when the door burst open. You jumped, seeing both Mitchell and George rush through the door, looking panicked.

"Everything alright, George?" Annie asked. You got up and rushed over to Annie's side, sensing something was going to happen. Mitchell looked at her.

"George is going to transform here." He said. "George, what do you need?" He asked. George looked at the windows.

"Close the blinds so no one can see in. A-and uh, put on some music." He said. Mitchell nodded.

"To make it sound like a party, right, Annie." He gestured to the stereo. Annie rushed over to it and turned it on, turning the volume up. She looked at Mitchell and George.

"What now?" You asked. Mitchell looked down at you, holding the telly.

"Anything you don't want broken, get it now." He ordered. You gasped and ran over to the side table and grabbed a necklace. You raced back to Annie. She looked at Mitchell.

"And then?" She asked. Mitchell looked at her.

"Get the hell out." He said. Annie's eyes widened and she placed her hands over your ears, hoping you didn't hear the word Mitchell had just said.

"Mitchell!" She scolded. Mitchell looked at her.

"What?" He asked. She gestured to you, silently telling him to watch his language. Mitchell sighed. She looked at George, uncovering your ears.

"Well, can I watch?" She asked. The two men looked at her like she was mad.

"I-I'm sorry?" George asked in disbelief. Annie sighed.

"Can I watch?" She asked again. You looked at the male.

"I want to watch as well." You said. George looked at you then looked at Annie and then Mitchell. He shook his head.

"No, no, no, no, there is absolutely no WAY I am letting her see what I go through," he said. He looked at Annie. "And it's very private." He said. Annie rolled her eyes.

"Oh come one. I understand not letting [Y/N] watch, she's a child for Pete's Sake, but you've seen me after I've died." Annie said. George looked to Mitchell for help in the situation. Mitchell sighed and shrugged.

"I mean, she does have a point." He said. George sighed. He then screamed and dropped what he had in his hands. You jumped and rushed over to Mitchell's side, hiding behind his leg. George looked up in fear.

"It's coming," he said. He rushed to take his over shirt off. "Annie, hide and don't let it see you. If it sees you, I don't know what it will do." He said. Annie nodded in understanding. Mitchell, still holding the telly, looked down at you.

"Off we go." He said. The two of you walked outside and sat on the porch. You jumped when you heard George start screaming in pain. You could hear the cracking of his bones. His screams became more and more like howls. Tears came to your eyes and you whimpered in fright. A few seconds went by, and Annie appeared next to you and Mitchell. She pulled you into her lap, holding you close. She looked at Mitchell.

"He's gone." She said, referring to George. You whimpered again as glass was thrown against the walls of the house. Annie rocked you back and forth. She looked down at the necklace you had clutched in you hands. She vaguely saw letters on it. "What does your necklace say?" She asked, trying to distract you from what was going on inside. You looked up at Annie then to the necklace, holding it up so both she and Mitchell could see.

"It says, 'Always on my Mind, forever in my Heart.'" You gently stroked the diamonds that made half of the heart. "Mum got it for me before I was born. When she gave it to me, she said that whenever I was scared or feeling lonely, all I need do is put the necklace on, and then I would feel her love," you said. By now, Mitchell had put down the telly, keeping it near him so that no one would steal it. You looked at the necklace. "I-I put it on after I died and my family moved out of the house," tears started to build up in your eyes again. You sniffed. "B-but I couldn't feel her love." You said. You held the necklace to your heart and started crying. "I-I miss my mum, my dad and my brother so much!" You sobbed. Mitchell sighed and gently took you from Annie's arms. He held you, bridal style, in his arms, gently pressing your head against his chest. He shushed you, rocking you back and forth as you cried. Annie leaned over and rested her head against Mitchell's shoulder, placing her hand on your shin, gently running her hand up and down in comfort.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning, George woke up to Annie cleaning up the floor from what happened last night. Annie looked up at George, who was coming down the steps from his room. She smiled at him.
"Hey." She whispered.
"Hi," he saw that almost everything was gone. George groaned. "Oh no. What happened last night? Where's all of our stuff? What did it do?" He asked. Mitchell looked at George.
"We salvaged what we could. There's about three boxes worth of wreckage and crap in my room," he picked up a sheet. He looked at Annie. "Can you pick her up for a second please?" He asked. Annie nodded and gently picked you up, making sure not to wake you. Mitchell took one of the pillows off of the couch, laid the sheet on it, then set the pillow down. He looked to Annie and nodded. Placing one hand under your head, she gently laid you down on the couch, using the other half of the sheet as a blanket to cover you. You moved and moaned in your sleep before coming to a stop and falling asleep again. Fear crossed George's face. He rushed over.
"Oh God, I didn't hurt her, did I?" He asked. Mitchell shook his head.
"No. She fell asleep in my arms after crying herself to sleep thinking about her mum. Annie carried her into the house and after we got you up stairs and into your room, we laid her down on the couch so she could sleep." Mitchell said. George sighed in relief. He looked at you and gently stroked your hair. He then leaned forward and kissed your forehead. The three adults in the room had no idea what was keeping the 5 year old ghost tethered to Earth. A selfish part of the Ghost, the Vampire and the Werewolf wished she never would find out. If she found out what happened to her, she might resolve her death and be able to move on to the Other Side. And they couldn't imagine life in the flat without her.
