The shock of getting shot, crippled, and violated put such a toll on Barbara, she ended up in a coma. How long she would stay in this coma, nobody knew. Batman knew he had to find Joker and rescue James. But he had to find his missing son as well. What to do in this situation? Bruce decided to contact Dick. Dick picked up and said, "Bruce? I heard about Jim and Barbara. I'm really sorry to hear what happened." Batman left the hospital and said, "I appreciate your sympathy Dick. But I didn't contact you to inform you of that. I need your help while I hunt for Joker." Dick replied, "sure... How can I help?" Batman got into the Batmobile and said, "Kevin volunteered to investigate Moreau Cosmetics last night. He hasn't come back yet. He could be abducted, or worse... I need you to bring Tim and Tyler in on this. The three of you need to work together to find my son. Understood?" Dick replied, "loud and clear Bruce. Kevin is like a brother to all of us. I'll bring Allan in as well. He owes me a favor anyway. We'll find him Bruce, we promise." Batman nodded and said, "Godspeed Nightwing."

It took Batman a bit longer to find the Joker. It was now Tuesday night. Bruce had already captured Joker, and he was exhausted. He'd come to the acceptance that The Joker was beyond help. He should have realized this when Joker killed Jason. Bruce was now speaking to Dick, Tim, Tyler, and Allan on the Batcomputer. "Any luck finding Kevin?" Bruce asked. "Still no results," said Dick. "We interrogated my sister Jacquelyn," said Allan, "she of course had no idea what I was talking about, for once. I inadvertently slipped the fact that Kevin was your son in front of her husband. Bad news is my sister's husband Scarecrow might attack you guys again, good news is we can put my sister off the list of suspects." Tyler scoffed and sarcastically said, "real brilliant of you, Allan. Also Bruce, if I were you, I'd look behind you." As Tyler said all that, mist and smoke appeared behind Bruce. He turned around and saw Andrea. She managed to teleport in the Batcave. And she did not look happy. "Where's my son, Bruce?" Andrea asked in a soft but impatient tone of voice, "he hasn't called me, so where's Kevin?" Every Sunday, Kevin would often call his mother to let her know how he was doing. It was practically a routine. When Kevin didn't call her the Sunday after he was abducted, Andrea grew concerned. Her motherly instincts were kicking in. And Andrea Beaumont was one Mama Bear you did not want to mess with. "I asked Kevin if he could investigate Moreau Cosmetics," explained Bruce, "he didn't come back the next day and-"

"You sent our son on a mission to investigate and spy on a seedy company?!?!?!?!" Andrea asked incredulously, her eyes dilating into anger. "You think we should hang up?" Tim awkwardly asked. "No, I wanna watch this," said Tyler. "Why haven't you found him?!?!?!" Andrea yelled in fury. "I was going to look for him," explained Bruce, "but things got hectic when Joker abducted Jim and crippled Barbara. I asked Dick and his associates to find Kevin. I'm sorry..." Dick cleared his throat and said, "we're doing everything we can to rescue your son Mrs. Beaumont..." Tim then said, "wait, Bruce? Why don't you look for Kevin's last phone signal? We know it abruptly stopped when we all tried calling him, so if we know Kevin's signal, we might find Kevin." Allan shrugged and said, "the kid's got a smart idea. Try that." Bruce then searched for Kevin's phone signal and saw that it was last seen at Moreau Cosmetics. "Kevin might be captured there," said Dick, "we'll ride to Moreau Cosmetics and see if Kevin's there. If he is, we'll rescue him." Bruce nodded and said, "very well then."

"I'm going with all of you," said Andrea. Dick then said, "with all due respect Mrs. Beaumont, maybe it isn't a good idea if you come with us, it could be very dangerous..."

"I wasn't asking!" Andrea snapped, "I'm going with all of you to rescue my son, and that's final!" She glared and pointed at all of them. Allan nervously chuckled, "you remind me of my mother, Lynn. I like you." Tyler nodded and said, "alright then. We'll meet you at the rendezvous. Weapon out." Tyler then hung up. The rest followed suit, ready to find Kevin. Andrea glared at Bruce, pointed at him, and said, "as for you, Bruce... you once said that deep down you're not a good person. I agree with that sentiment. So you better start praying and pray that our son is alive, because if he isn't, his blood will be on your hands!" Andrea then disappeared into smoke and mist.
