Years later I was about 14 in year 9 or year 10. I was curious like any other teen about who my dad was. I finally came face to face with the man who at the age of 1 had left me.
His girlfriend at the time expected him to post a card through the letterbox. How would I know who he was if he just signed a card from dad?!
From the beginning this had confused me, he never posted the card like it was expected of him. Instead he came in the house. It wasn't awkward like expected in fact the Visit actually went okay.
I then found out that I had two brothers. Eventually I got to meet them and that went okay. I met my nan also that day when we all went bowling.
But as time passed my dad all of a sudden just didn't want to get to know me anymore. I was angry about this and I asked my nan to talk to him which of course she refused and I had a difficult time with my anger I refused to get to know her because I couldn't get to know her without my dad I wanted to get to know them both.
Eventually my anger got so bad that I had a go at a teacher at school and I got sent to withdrawal and suspended for a week.
Of course a few years later my dad turned up again, then yet again he disappeared. Nowadays he's stopped getting to know me and he's started to ignore his other kids.
Around 2006 my nan died and lo and behold my anger started up again.
