As you know, I wrote this book last year, so I re-wrote it hoping it will be better than before. and tbh I wasn't going to update but after receiving your lovely comments who am I not to update 🙃

J A W A D

"We decided that when Farah wakes up she will recuperate at her parent's house" It feels like I've been splashed with a bucket of water, I couldn't believe my ears.

"Mom, what are you saying? I can take care of her at home"

"Yes you had me right, we've already discussed this and we think it's the right thing to do." She stated as if it's nothing big.

As if she doesn't care about what we're going through.

"I love her Mom, how can you say that" I muttered the last part, the word sounding heavy on my lips.

"You don't love her, you pity her that's just it."

I turned to Farah's mom whose face shows disappointment. "Aunt please don't separate me from Farah, I really love her." She kept her face down without saying anything.

I stared at them dumbfounded, why is everything turning against me. Is this the punishment for my mistake?.

But I don't want separating from her to be my punishment.

Ya Allah.

"Sooner or later you have to come to a decision" Mom utters once again. "And you know what hurts me the most? Telling her that introducing her as your wife is an embarrassment to you. I'm really disappointed in you jawad this is not how I brought you up" Shaking her head she left the room not sparing me a glance.

And now Farah's mom and I are the ones in the room, watching my broken frame her face soften but I know she's hurt deep down.

"I always wish that when Farah grows up to an adult, I will find a nice husband for her, and when your parents came with your marriage proposal, I was very happy because I knew you're a nice and well-mannered man. And now hearing this I don't know what to think, I'm really hurt by your actions." "But I know whatever Allah wills to happen will happen no matter what and  I don't blame your parents for this."  The look she gave me hurts me, the look of hurt, hate, and disappointment.

Moving towards Farah's bed, I reached out for her hand pecking it. My heartbreak seeing her suffer on the hospital bed.

All because of Me.

"Farah please wake up and tell them not to separate me from you," I whispered

Their words kept playing in my head. You don't love her, you pity her

I'm disappointed in you.

I rest my head just below her side, holding her hands tightly in mine. I know when she wakes up she will not leave me.

I know my Farah.

My mind was clouded with many thoughts not knowing when sleep took over me.

"You sitting here won't change anything" My mom stated again making my heart sink once again.

Why did she bring this up again?

"And you better go home and change into something, you don't expect to sit in the hospital with the same clothes." She added in a bitter tone. I turned to the rest and all their faces show hurt especially Yasmin, I don't know how to describe her expression. Hatred, anger, and disappointment. All my family are disappointed in me, my only hope is for Farah to wakeup and explain to them that I've changed. I'm not the same Jawad as before.

My phone vibrates from my jeans pocket, taking it out precious name flashed across the screen. I know what she's going to say.

"Hello," I said the moment I slide the accept button.

"Sir you're needed urgently in the office, there are a lot of pending works that need your approval." She said from the other end.

I need to get this done. I haven't been in the office for a while.

"Where is Sandra?" Sandra is the new secretary I hired after Farah left.

"Sir she's not in the office and I couldn't reach her line." She stated politely

I inhale a sharp breath before I speak again "Okay, I will be there in one hour." I replied back hanging up.

I didn't waste time driving back home. Changing quickly into my office attire, I took the necessary thing I need before I descended down and drove to the office.

The moment precious spot me she came towards me hurriedly. "Sir thank god you came early, one of our partners wants to speak to you and by the look of it, it's something urgent."

"Okay forward the calls to my office."

Entering my office, I was greeted by the scent of coolness. Not wasting any more time, I started my work which consists of going through some paperwork and speaking to our partners.

I need to get this done as soon as possible so that I can go back to the hospital.

I have only one thought in my mind and that is Farah.

I was busy with some work when my phone vibrates indicating a text message.

Farah has woken up.

That is what I saw, I stared at the screen bug-eyed. Not wasting a nano sec I sprinted out of the office spotting precious on my way holding some files.

"Postpone the rest of my work till tomorrow," I said while getting out of the hallway.

My wife has woken up. My Farah has woken up finally,

I constantly kept repeating the words in my head while driving to the hospital.

My foot stopped in its track seeing my wife face, her eyes look tired and her skin now looks paler.

"Farah."

All attention turns to me, hearing me call her name. I instantly embrace her in a hug not knowing when my foot took me towards her.

"Alhamdulillah Thanks for coming back to me Farah, I missed you so much" I whispered pulling her more to my body. I didn't care about the people inside the room. My prayers had been answered my Farah is back to me now.

"How are you feeling now? Do you feel any pain somewhere?." I bombarded her with questions, accessing her face and body. What she said next stopped me in my tracks.
