Reader POV

Mother once said that the true monsters weren't the Titans that roamed outside the walls. It was humanity. With their greed, betrayal, their cruelty towards others and lies. So many lies.
Our downfall wouldn't be the Titans, but our nature. Titans act on instinct. It's what they were made for, to kill without a doubt or second thought. Why? Because they didn't have the ability to think. But we did. We're greedy, we betray those who we claim we're loyal to and most importantly, we lie.
It's something I absolutely hate doing.
Which is why I couldn't do it. I couldn't lie to myself any longer. I couldn't make myself believe I was still human when I could turn into a beast...
That's what I thought as the ground below me rushed toward me.
I looked at my thumb and swiped my fiver over the small blade sticking out of the ring.
Then everything seemed to stop.
It courses through me.
Adrenaline.
The urge to fight.
To defend.
Steam, so much steam, surrounded me, after a green yellowish light blinded me for a moment as I felt grow taller and taller.
A few moments later, everything cleared.
I was strong. I could feel it in my muscles of my Titan self.
My body was armored, but it wasn't heavily Armoured. Armor covered everything, especially my nape, knuckles, knees and elbows. I looked up.
It felt strange. No matter how many times I transform, I'm always going to feel like this.
Like this body isn't mine, but it is indeed.
My (h/c) bangs were brushed aside by the wind, allowing my big (e/c) eyes surrounded by muscled flesh to see.
I heard Eren's Titan beside me groan. I looked at him before glancing up at the others atop the wall.
Hanji was squealing as the commander and Levi ran towards the Armoured Titan.
Mikasa and Armin trailed behind him.
The servants, Ciel and Sebastian were shocked, I could see fear in their eyes.
And Sebastian.
I couldn't read his expression. It seemed emotionless, his eyes were unreadable.
So I turned my head. I could still feel emotions. Although I had a mission, I couldn't hide the sadness and anger welling inside me. So I ran, my muscles flexing.
I'm fast, I could take large steps, each one shaking the ground as I forced my foot to push me even further towards the hole the Armoured Titan was creating.
I could hear Eren behind me catching up, growls rumbling inside this throat.
And the compressed air of ODM gear from soldiers trying to follow us.
The second the Titan shot out from the outside and inside the walls, I launched myself at him.
He was the same height as me which made it easier than I expected.
I landed on his back, and attempted to twist his head off with a hand on each side.
But I failed and was thrown off him and crashed onto a building.
I growled as I saw his hand rip off Eren's leg.
I sped towards him once more, pulling my hand back and landing a hard blow on his torso, sending him flying back and crash against the wall.
I brought my hand and saw my armor cracked a bit. Steam erupted from between the cracks as I concentrated on healing it.
Eren stood up once more and launched himself at the Titan.
But I could see the intentions of the Titan.
He would pin Eren to the wall and rip out his human body with his teeth, as his front body was against the wall.
So I leaped once more and planted a roundhouse kick at the side of his face.
Being faster than Eren, I received a blow on my face, giving Eren the chance to attack as I healed my left eye.
I could hear them. And I could see them through the giant hole.
The Titans were coming and they would enter the walls.
I can't let that happen.
Unless...
A scream built up in my throat, and I roared. It was loud, and unlike other Titans, it was like my own voice but deeper. Not enough to be mistaken my a male's, it could easily be recognized as a female's.
Titans stopped advancing. It was enough time.
The survey Corp soldiers flew through the air and attacking.
I could hear grunts and the sound of blades cutting into flesh.
I go ores the urge to go help, and fought the Titan.
That was until I was thrown back once more. Before I could stand up, he stood up and advanced toward the hole, exiting.
I was about to go after him before I heard Erwin's orders.
"(Y/N)!!!! Don't go after him!!! Not now!!! Eren will cover the hole in the wall while you help us exterminate the rest of the Titans!!!" he shouted. I mentally sighed but nodded at him, who was standing atop a titan's corpse.
Mikasa was trying to lead Eren to a boulder in the distance (a/n: situation is similar to one of episodes, forgot the number sry)
Screaming.
It was a familiar one.
My head turned and I saw Sasha's wires being pulled by a Titan and she crashed into the ground.
I rushed towards the 15 meter titan and punched it's head from the side, decapitating it.
I looked down at Sasha and growled softly in question.
She stood and huffed, smiling at me and giving me a thumbs up.
"I am okay!!! Thanks!!!" with that she flew towards Finny who managed to cut the leg off a Titan.
I looked for Ciel and saw him killing a 3 meter.
I was impressed. Seems like the extra training worked.
But then an abnormal advanced towards him.
I beat the Titan and punched it to the ground, kicking its nape and killing it.
I looked at Ciel through my bangs and saw him give me a small smile.
I looked behind him and saw Sebastian.
Blood stained his cheek, a titan's since it dissolved into the air as steam a few seconds later.
He jumped off a corpse and looked up, his gaze locked on mine.
His eyes softened for a moment before looking behind me and his expression changing into an alarmed one.
"(Y/n) look-"
I didn't let him finish the sentence as I whirled around and brought my leg up, kicking an abnormal 7 meter to the side who tried to bite on my shoulder.
My hand wrapped around the back of its neck and I squeezed.
It tried to free itself from my grasp but suddenly stopped when its head popped off, blood splattering the grass and my armor.
I suddenly heard Eren's loud roar as he covered the hole with the Boulder.
Once it was placed inside, he pushed it even more.
He made it...he succeeded...I felt my human self smile and I turned.
Nothing.
Just blood and corpses dissolving.
"Scouts!!! BEHIND THE WALLS!!! NOW!!!" shouted Erwin.
Everyone followed his directions except for Levi. He landed on my shoulder.
"Do you need help brat?!"
In response, I fell to my knees and concentrated on releasing the armor of my neck, and creating an opening.
I could feel the wind hit my cheeks. I couldn't control my Titan form anymore.
My eyes opened wide as the muscle that held onto my cheeks withered away.
I jumped out of it, my hair loose and complete uniform still on.
But this time it was different...
Instead of walking straight like I always do after transforming, I fell to my knees.
Everything was blurry, my vision coming in and out of focus.
I felt someone catch me and muffled voices.
"(Y/n)!!!" shouted a familiar voice with an accent.
My eyes slowly moved up and I saw Levi pushing Sebastian away slightly.
"Back off. We need to get her over the wall and check up on her," said Levi.
"I'm...fine..." I mumbled and attempted to stand up, only to fall against Levi's chest.
"You're clearly not, damn brat," he sighed and carried me bridal style.
I leaned my head against his shoulder and true to focus on my surroundings.
Why is this happening to me?
What caused this?
My thoughts drifted away as my eyes fluttered shut and all I could see was darkness....
