Hey guys!!! Sorry for not updating in a while, I've been dealing with school so I've been very busy, but here's a new chapter. Please review!!

Reader-chan POV

Oh crap...oh crap...he's gonna kill me!! I rambled inside my head, and bit the left side of my bottom lip, looking down at the desk in front of me.
I gently tapped my foot rapidly against the wooden floor and uncomfortably shifted in my seat.
Then he cleared his threat and spoke up.
"(Y/N) do you have any idea as to why I called you into my office?" ask Erwin, who sat across from me, with his chin resting atop his fist.
Levi was standing a few feet away from him, his arms crossed over his chest and his intimidating gaze settled on my form.
Normally I don't act this away around them, especially if they're serious like they are right now.
But, given a situation that happened yesterday...
"U-Um no?" Damn, that sounded more like a question that a statement. I breathed in and looked into Erwin's eyes.
"Nope, not a clue," I smirked and leaned back into my chair. Erwin raised an eyebrow stood up from his chair.
He placed his hands behind his back and slowly walked around me, until he placed his hands on my shoulders, making me flinch.
Just kill me now...but make it quick, I thought.
"Were you near the incident yesterday?" he asked in the tone he used when he knew I did something wrong.
"N-nope. Don't know what you're talking about," I said.
"Oh really? Because I distinctly remember horse face mentioning you were part of the idiots who broke 23 sets ODM gear" spoke Levi.
"Excuse me?! I am not an idiot!!! And besides I only broke 3!!!" I huffed.
I heard Erwin sigh behind me.
"So you admit it?" Levi continued.
"Yes...BUT it was an accident!!! I swear!! See, I was passing by the building where they were and I heard a crash. So I went in to check it out and saw Jean, Armin, Eren and a few other soldiers who I don't know that had broken sets of ODM gear in their hands. Then I screamed at them and I hit them, but when I tried to come to your office, one of the tripped me and I fell on the head I broke!!!" I rambled on. I hated getting in trouble. I used to feel like a kicked puppy after Erwin used to scold me. But for some reason he's not being so hard on me like before.
"We know." responded Erwin. I opened my mouth to respond but stopped after he said that.
"What?"
"We know. They admitted it and the boys took all the blame. Why do you think you haven't seen them all day?" smiled Erwin.
"You're making them run laps?" I asked.
"Yes and picking up the horse shit from the stables for the next month." said Levi over his tea cup.
"Then...why was I called here?" I was confused. If I wasn't here to get yelled at, then why am I here?
Erwin took his seat in front of me once more and gave me what I call his fatherly smile and he took my hands in his own, squeezing them softly.
"(Y/N) do you remember what I told you the last time we went on an expedition?" he asked softly.
"That I was too stubborn and I was going to be the death of you?" I responded as I remembered him telling me that when I wouldn't retreat. Erwin chuckled softly and shook his head.
"No not that. Before we went outside the walls?"
"Oh...that...that I should think with my heart and not my head? And I should always follow my instinct, no matter if it might not seem like the right thing to others?" I responded, thinking about the moment he said that as he patted my head.
"Yes. That."
"I'm confused. What does that have to do with why I'm here?" I said.
"Tch. Erwin just tell the damn brat already."
"Hold on Levi I'm getting there. (Y/N) what I'm trying to say is that a good leader does what I had told you that day and much more. What I mean is that...I want you to become Captain of the Survey Corps."
I froze. My brain could barely comprehend his words. Captain? Me? Of all people? After a minute or so I began to let that sink in.
"What? A-are you insane? I'm no good like you and Levi!! I can't lead people!!!" I said, shocked.
"I knew you would react like this but you are wrong. You would be a perfect Captain. You're self-less, you're brave, you're smart, not to mention strong, and like I mentioned before, you think with your heart and not your head. Besides I spoke with the other regiments' commanders about my decision and higher ups as well as discuss it with Levi. Although some disagree...most were in favor of it. So what do you say?" Erwin smiled.
"I-I don't know." I looked away. I wanted to but I was afraid. I was afraid of being responsible for the deaths of people because of me if it came down to it.
"I understand it's a big step, especially for someone your age-"
"Why not Hanji?" I blurted out. "She has more experience than I do. Besides she's squad leader so-"
"She wants you to be Captain as well."
Shit. Running out of excuses.
"(Y/N) I won't force you into it but believe me when I say you have the perfect qualities. It's as if you were born a leader. You think I don't know that you lead the exercises during training? Or that you always help those who are in need?" I blushed at the compliment. I really want to...and it's the least I could do for Erwin. It looks like he really wants me to do it, and if he believes in me then I know that I can do it. I raised my head and smiled.
"Okay. I'll do it. I'll take on the role as Captain." Erwin smiled and I saw Levi's lips slightly tip upwards.
"A pleasure to be working with you Captain (y/n)"

Le Time Skip

I was walking behind Levi and Erwin towards somewhere I didn't know.
"Uh where are we going?" I asked.
"Simply to announce to the rest of the regiment of your role." said Levi.
"What?!" I said, catching up to Erwin.
"Everyone needs to know that they will be taking orders from you too. And who will be assigned to your squad." Erwin responded as he looked at me from the corner of his eyes. He acts as if I'm becoming queen.
We crossed the hallway and opened the door that lead to the mess hall that lead to the mess hall.
Holy shit. Sebastian's there. Okay I have to stay calm and not make a fool of myself. Act professional.
I stood straighter as we walked to the center of the mess hall.
"OI LISTEN UP DAMN BRATS!!" shouted Levi, making everyone shut up immediately. My gaze wandered around the building until it locked on the table where Sebastian was sitting. His crimson gaze met mine and offered me a tiny smile. A blush creeped up my neck and settled on my cheeks before I looked away.
" I would like to make a few announcements. I would like to begin by saying that, after much deliberation, we have decided to make an addition to your commanding officers. You will all have to listen to your new officer, Captain (Y/N)."
I expected people to groan and shout insults at me. But instead I was greeted with a round of applause and cheers. I didn't think people actually liked me.
"YES!!! She's my friend!!" shouted Hanji from the corner. I smiled to myself and looked at Erwin who seemed like he wanted to continue. After everyone settled down he continued.
"In addition, a few of you will be assigned to her squad, including: Eren Jaëger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Sasha Brouse, Jean Kirshtein, and Connie Springer. As well as those you who are temporary soldiers." (A/N: sorry if you don't agree with your squad but it goes with my story) He said, and I knew he was talking about Sebastian, Ciel, Bard, Finny and Mey-Rin. Damn I got a good squad.
Erwin looked down at me expectingly.
I cleared my throat and took a step forward.
"I thank you all for accepting me as your Captain. I understand that this will take some time to get used to but bear with me as it is something new for me as well. But I promise you, all of you, that I will do what is necessary to complete our mission and I will do my best as one of your leaders." I concluded.
"You're a badass!!" shouted someone in the background and everyone shouted and cheered. Did Levi get this treatment as well?
I suddenly felt someone jump on me from behind and hug me tightly. They jumped off and I whirled around. It was Sasha.
"Holy crap!! You're my new captain!! Oh uh that was so rude!! Lemme try again, it's an honor ma'am to be a part of your squad." said Sasha. I smiled and squeezed her shoulder reassuringly.
"Sasha, you don't have to be so formal with me. I'm still the same person. It's not as if you're talking to Levi and Erwin," I whispered the last part and she smiled before giving me another hug.
My new squad walked towards me.
"So, Captain (Y/N) huh?" asked Connie.
"Has a nice ring to it," winked Jean beside me. I punched his arm.
"I can make you run laps until you die whenever I feel like it you know. Especially if you try anything on me or if you do something stupid," I have him a stern look. He blushed in embarrassment.
"My apologies ma'am," he mumbled.
"I'm happy to have you as my captain (Y/N)" smiled Eren. Mikasa nodded in agreement as well as Armin.
"And I'm happy to have all of you be part of my squad." I smiled at them.
"Wow. Captain (Y/N)" awed Finny.
"Honestly, I never thought I would become a commanding officer." I said.
"Well you are perfect for a leader," said Bard.
"Ha ha thank you bard," I smiled at him.
"You deserve that role Captain," said Sebastian, winking at me making my heart fluttered. Then I heard his voice in my head.
Meet me outside in a few minutes, love.
