Roy's POV
It was late at night, and I was stuck in my office, working as usual. I would've gone home by now, but a certain trigger happy Lieutenant cut off any thoughts of escape. Sweat rolled down my back as my pen slid across the paper. The clock moved in little ticks as time went by. Suddenly, there was a knock at my door, and I mumbled something in irritation.

"Come in." I grumbled. The door slowly opened, and Ed walked in. My favorite little blonde. I raised an eye brow.

"Something wrong Fullmetal?" I questioned. He shook his head.

"Uh...I um....just wanted to g-give you something...." He replied, stammering. I could see hints of a blush forming on his cheeks. This only made butterflies form in my stomach. What a stupid thing. I was no longer a teenager, and I still got this stupid feeling. This feeling that only Ed could make me feel.

"Hm? And what would it be?" I asked. He almost nervously handed me a piece of paper. I stared at the blonde in puzzlement. The paper was neatly folded, and it seemed folded about four times. So, I gently unfolded the paper, and smoothed it out after. Written on the paper were six words that made my heart thump. Those six words were,

"Will you go out with me?"

I looked at Ed, and looked back at the paper, then looked Ed again. Ed stood there blushing brightly red. I stood up from my desk, and walked towards him, setting the paper down.

"M-Mustang...?" He asked. I just pulled him into a hug, as I kissed him softly. It was something I've wanted to do for a long time. Ed gasped softly in reply, and kissed back, his eyes falling closed. He balled his hands in my jacket, as I brushed my tongue against his bottom lip, asking for entrance. He nodded shyly as I did, and we fought for dominance. I eventually won. Ed was blushing heavily, and we pulled apart eventually. His mind seemed to scatter, seeing as to how jumbled up his sentences were. It made me chuckle as I pulled him into another hug.

"I love you Ed. And I've been in love with you for quite some time now." I explained. He nodded and nuzzled his head into my chest, hugging me around the waist.

"I love you too Roy..." He replied, making me smile. And something told me, our love was going to last a long time.
