Scene from Season 2 Episode 4

"You can't expect me to stay silent," Her green eyes stared him down. "You can not blame me for sticking up for my kingdom," Grant sighed, running his hand through his thick blond hair. They were meeting as a group, all of the Avengers.

"Ali, you ran into war with a blind eye! You have the support of only two members of the team!" He yelled back. "You have thrown your kingdom and theirs into war."

"The two members of our team who sided with me, are kings Grant! They are capable of choosing what their kingdoms can go through, do not belittle me for a choice they came to all on their own merit!"

"Grant is right," Ronin spoke, "you went behind our backs Ali, you may be the queen but the point of our group was to make a group choice for the betterhood of our kingdom."

"You do not know the first thing about leadership," Hissed Anthony. "I stand by Ali cause she's the only one here fighting for her kingdom. Grant your kingdom is anything but unluckily it's heartbreaking to see you step away from us."

"Our allegiance does not mean I have gone into a war that I was not a part of, to begin with." He said. "I've made my choice, and you can not come crying to me when your kingdoms are suffering."

"May I speak with you, alone," Ali said, her voice raging with anger. The two kings, the knight, and the doctor all gave them the room. Grant shook his head, both from annoyance and tiredness. He couldn't comprehend Ali's thinking. "I know you think of me as stupid, a kid. But what you fail to see is that I am doing the best for my kingdom. If we do not take down these rebels my kingdom will lose everything. I will lose everything!"

"Everything?" He hissed. "What about me? Do I mean so little to you that you can not consider me a friend at the very least?"

"That is not fair."

"Isn't it?" He laughed bitterly. "You talk as if you have nothing to lose, you bring in warriors who have little to no morals."

"This is about the devil."

"Of course it is!" He yelled. "I tell you I care for you, more than I have for anyone else and you shut me out. You bring in that man, who...it's obvious he fancies you, and now you belittle me in front of the team!"

"Tell me, Grant, do you even know what it means to be in love?" She asked.

"It means something too different to everyone, you can not possibly ask me to define such an open concept."

"See there is where you and I differ. Love is this. Love is the way I feel with you. You say you care for me but you can't bring yourself to understand me and who I am. So tell me my love how am I supposed to accept that you claim to care for me?" Grant had no answer to that. "I want you gone. I have a war to prepare for,"

"You are making a mistake."

"It seems the only mistake I have made was you."
