Captain's POV~

~

Ring! Ring! I turned off my alarm and got out of bed, wide awake. I took a quick shower, put on my captain's hat, and went outside of my room. The halls were all empty, which wasn't unusual at this time. There wasn't any need to wake up at seven in the morning, so why was I awake? Well, as the captain of this ship, I felt the responsibility and so had the need to wake up earlier than anyone else.

I made a turn and entered the cafeteria, where I found Mother busily working and making breakfast for everyone. She looked up when I came in.

"Oh, hi Captain!" she said cheerily. I smiled and nodded in response.

"Here's your daily morning coffee", she said, handing me a mug of coffee.

"Thanks", I took the cup from her, and sat down in a chair, taking a small sip.

It had been around an hour when the others finally started to slowly fill the room. First came TheGentleman, then MrCheese, and after that Veteran. When he entered, we glared at each other before looking away. A few other people entered the room, and finally, Player came in. 

"Hey, Bestie! Over here!" I shouted, waving enthusiastically. He looked up, gave me a small smile, and waved back. He came over and sat down next to me. 

I was talking about a really awesome picnic I was planning, when I noticed Player's face looked a little nervous and sad? He was also staring at something. I followed his gaze and realized it Veteran he was staring at. Veteran ignored him completely and went on talking with Greaser.

I don't blame him for being nervous though. After the reaction Veteran showed last night, who wouldn't be? Yes, I know what happened between Player and Veteran. Well, more like heard what happened. I was in my room when Veteran was yelling at Player and I heard it all. I wanted to help him but I didn't know what to do. So today, I'm going to be the best bestie I can be.

We played quite a few rounds today and I really tried to cheer Player up. I don't know if I made much of a difference. He still seems pretty distant...

After dinner, I followed Player around and talked non-stop with him in hopes to make him feel better.

"Hey, Captain... can... can you please... leave me alone for a bit? I want to go to bed early tonight", Player said hesitantly when we reached his room door.

"Oh, yeah, sure! Of course! I'll see you tomorrow, then, bestie!" I responded, and quickly left him, with a feeling that I may have been disturbing him. 

I really hope I helped him, even a little bit.

Player's POV~

~

It's not that I was minding Captain's company, I just needed some time alone. I didn't want to deal with Veteran anymore. I know, it's only been two days, but it was too much for me. I wanted a break from him, at least until I could think up some solution for this. 

I thought about it for a bit and decided that I would change lobbies. Not permanently, only for a few days or so. I just didn't want to do it in front of everyone... I wanted to leave quietly. I know they'll figure it out soon enough, but for now, I just didn't want to answer their questions. I guess early morning would be the best time to leave, but then it would have to be before Captain wakes up.

When does he wake up again... seven-thirty? Why he gets up so early, I honestly don't know.

Unsure of what time Captain woke up, I kept my alarm at six am. Then I lay down in bed, absorbed in my thoughts, a bit worried for the next day. It took me a while, but I eventually dozed off into a light slumber.

I was running from them as fast as I could. But they were catching up... I could hear their footsteps behind me.

I suddenly stopped. I had reached the edge of a cliff. Suddenly, everything around me went pitch black, I couldn't even see my own hands. I started hearing voices...

"You're useless."

"You don't deserve anything in life."

"You'll never reach anything, you'll always be the loser you already are."

"Nobody cares about you."

The voices got louder... they wouldn't get out of my head. Then I heard a voice behind me say, "Nobody loved you, nobody does, and nobody ever will." I felt a push and the next thing I knew was that I was falling into the deep voids of darkness... screaming...

I woke up, gasping and crying at the same time. Another night, another nightmare...

I checked the time and saw that it was five minutes before six am and decided to get up. I turned off the alarm that was supposed to ring five minutes later, wore my beanie, and quietly got out of the room.

Reaching the area where beans respawn, I closed my eyes and imagined changing lobbies. Suddenly, I could see many lobbies to choose from. I decided to choose one from random. Taking a deep breath, I chose one by someone named Azzy. There was a bright flash, the teleportation noise and I had finally left.

And I'm so sorry for such a short chapter, my ideas and motivation are dead ;-;
