Ch.2 Outside Views

Izuku's POV

I watched as Shoto's posture relaxed a bit while he talked idly to the (h/c). I hummed a bit and smiled. That's the most relaxed I've seen him. I got up to take a picture with the gal in line. "I'm more than happy to." She squealed and met me by the table and I posed with a peace sign, leaning down to be seen in her camera angle. After she took the picture she ran off happily. I laughed and looked over to Bakugo. "Hey, I'm gonna go get lunch. Want me to get you anything?" The blonde looked at me and shook his head.

"Well, maybe a coffee, please." I nodded.

"Coffee? Me too!"

"Me three!" I sighed at the others, and smiled nonetheless.

"3 coffees. Any way you're wanting them?" As I wrote down their orders for their coffees I saw the girl that had been infatuated with Shoto walking out dejectedly. "Oookaaayyy! I'll be back with your drinks!" I grinned and headed out to get food first.

With my bag of food in hand I headed to the coffee shop near the building. The place was quiet except for someone talking happily. "Who's my fluffy baby? I miss you! Is (r/n) giving you proper rubs?" I looked over at the voice seeing a girl's back to me. I tiptoed over and peaked over their head into the phone to see a fluffy small dog on the other end then a girl came in to view. I noticed her seeing me and quickly motioned for her to shush and smiled, walking away. I grinned at the cashier.

"3 coffees please." I rattled off the ways my friends wanted theirs made and rubbed my chin, grabbing a piece of paper. Scribbling down 'don't give up, come back.' I knew it didn't appear right, so I quickly wrote my initials. As the cashier came back and I paid him, I pointed to the girl. "Do you mind giving her this?" I slid the paper to him. He rose a brow and I smiled, shaking my head. "She'll know." He nodded and headed to her table as I grabbed a container for the coffees and put them in. As I walked out, opening the door with my back, flashed her a bright smile, seeing her look at me. Her face filled with shock as I tracked back to the con.

Upon getting the coffees to their owners I stepped into the back room to eat. While eating happily I'm stiffly greeted by Shoto who was coming to refill his water. "Hi Todoroki!" I smiled, after swallowing my bite. "Seems you're getting very little attention." I commented causing him to give me a small glare.

"That's how I like it." His cold voice made me huff and eat, rolling my eyes.

"Mmmhmm." I sighed, as I finished my food. "You might as well go get lunch." It was his turn to roll his eyes as he strolled out of the room.

(Y/N)'s POV

My look of shock only intensified as the greenette grinned at me. "What's wrong (N/N)?" (r/n)'s voice shook me back to reality.

"Oh... Izuku... Told me to go back..." I looked at her confused face from my phone. "It's nothing.." I whispered.

"Did he not acknowledge you like I said he wouldn't?" She teased. I looked down and shoved the last bite of my cinnamon roll in my mouth, standing and grabbing my coffee and phone. "I take silence as a yes~ I'm sorry you're just not classy enough." She laughed some as I opened the door to the cafe, finally swallowing the desert.

"Me?" I asked in disbelief. "He's a fucking jerk!" My voice rose and my eyes watered. It doesn't matter. He's just a stupid celebrity. As if on cue, it seemed my friend read my mind.
"He's a celeb babe. He's bound to look down on others who aren't of his status. Very few are encouraging... But it seemed Izuku wanted you back there?" I laughed dryly, wiping my eyes.

"Izuku's just friendly. Seemed one of the most. And Bakugo's a sweetheart too." I smiled at (r/n) as she laughed.

"See? Go back and get pictures with the others, meet more people. You'll find yourself laughing more and enjoying yourself." I sighed deeply, suddenly interested in the coffee cup I held.

"For some reason I'm drawn towards him. He's rude and I don't want to see him, but if I go back.. I know I'd be right back to being a bother. He reads and he seems lonely, if it's intentional, why did he talk so-" I stopped, thinking about it. "Hey, I think I'll call you back. Give (doggos name) kisses for me. I miss the fluff ball." I smiled and hung up, making my way to the bookstore.

~50 min bro~
Now out of the store I brushed my fingers through my hair, carrying the bag of 2 books. They were the same genre as the one Shoto had been reading, and I had read them before but didn't own them. So if he had them, I'd have the books to myself. I smiled, a feeling of accomplishment filling me as I leisurely made my way back to the con. In about 2 hours the con would be ending, so I'd have to make an impact now. He has a fancy for books. His words bounced around in my head. He likes books cause they let him daydream. Being around others, he can't let his mind wander. I used to be like him till my folks forced me to stop reading books. Close minded..

I opened the door and saw his head laying on his hand and slowly inched my way closer, being quiet cause he could have fallen asleep. His head moved and his eye opened at me and he huffed. Seeing his eye caused me to unconsciously hold my breath. How the hell.... I shook my head as I mustered up a sweet smile and sat the bag down in front of him. He eyed it suspiciously till his eyes landed on the logo. I sat down and watched him, while playing with the hymn of my shirt.

"What's this?" His deep voice held more curiosity than I expected and I motioned my head for him to look. He slowly took a deep breath and opened the bag.

Shoto's POV (SURPRISE)

I slowly opened the bag, adrenaline filling my veins, it was a feeling I hadn't felt before. I was scared, yet totally excited. Seeing two books sitting in it I let a big smile form on my face, pulling them out to see the names, my eyes shined seeing that they were two books I had on my reading list. I blinked and reminded myself that I wasn't here to make friends and looked back at the girl. "Thanks..."

"It's (Y/N).... I hope you haven't read them... But they're a few of my favorites. Please accept them." Her voice was soft and she sounded like she genuinely wanted to make me feel more comfortable. I let out a heavy sigh.

"I can't accept these... (Y/N). You bought them." She shook her head.

"Don't make that a problem. I'm on paid vacation. ...I'm literally getting paid to meet you right now..." Her face reddened as she played with her hair. I looked down at the book, flipping the pages and enjoying the feel of them in my hands.

"Well if you're so insistent..." I whispered. "Can I read them now?" She nodded.

"You're kinda... peaceful when you do. It's good to be at peace." She grabbed out her sketchbook and I smiled, confused on how she wanted to get to know me, yet was fine with letting me just read in silence.

After a bit my focus kept shifting to (Y/N), I'd shake my head then start reading again, but after a few sentences my eyes would linger on her. Her (e/c) eyes squinted in concentration. I silently laughed at how her tongue protruded out of her mouth angrily until her eyes locked with mine, the smooth movement of her pencil stopping.
"Yes..?" She asked shyly. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

"It's annoying." I said looking at her book. "The skitching." She looked down.

"Oh.. I'm sorry.." What is this feeling? I sighed, watching her shut her book. "I think I'll head back now.. " I coughed and shut the book I had.

"No..." I didn't say it very loud at all and she stood, causing me to stand and grab her wrist abruptly stopping her. "No. Sit back down." My voice came out in a low growl. My actions and words left her speechless, even myself. I cleared my throat, and sat down releasing her wrist, then motioned her to sit with my eyes. I watched her gulp and sit down.

"Uhhh.. I'm sorry..." She mumbled. My eyes scanned the room to see the few people still around running to meet others, then focused my attention to the female at hand.

"No.. I am. That was wrong of me." I sighed rubbing my head. I just assaulted her after insulting her... "What were you drawing?" My voice was stiff and I immediately hated that I didn't sound like myself.

"Oh nothing!" She waved it off causing an unfamiliar noise to escape my throat.

"Tch... I'd say it wasn't 'nothing'. " (Y/N) paled and shakely pulled out her sketchbook, handing it to me. I flipped it open to the page she had her pencil marking. My eyes scanned the drawing of a fox. Not much detailed and looked to be loosely done. I smiled admiring it, the arts were always my soft spot. As I went to flip the page (Y/N) stiffened and lunged forward to take the book. I quickly moved it out of her reach and looked down. My breath catching in my throat at the extremely detailed picture of me. My head turned some to see the book I had finished laying by me on the floor, I scanned it then looked back at the drawing. I gulped and took notice of the (h/c) covering her face in embarrassment. I cleared my throat and shut the sketchbook, sliding it back to her.

"You're a good artist." I watched as her fingers parted to see me then quickly moved back to shielding herself. I smiled and opened the book I had been reading earlier with a slightly weird feeling rushing about my insides.

~~

The sound of her sketching again helped me relax knowing she'd calmed down. The noise played gently in the background as I read.
"Shoto... Todoroki??" My eyes snapped up at the blonde.

"Yeah Bakugo?" My voice had returned back to ice as I glared at him, seeing the girl looking up at him in awe from beside me.

"It's about time to pack up for the night." He spoke, rolling his eyes.

"I-it is?" Both of our attention turned to (Y/N) as she shoved her book into the bag she carried, looking at her phone. "Oh my! I'm sorry!" She stood apologizing. Bakugo laughed and ruffled her hair.

"No problem. I wouldn't have even known you were a visitor." His smooth voice caused her face to flare and I let out an inaudible growl. I stopped. Okay Shoto. What the fuck? I scolded myself and stood up.

"It's okay (Y/N). Please make it back to your place safely." I bowed some and she smiled brightly.

"Yes of course! Enjoy the books! Maybe I can come talk to you about them tomorrow!" She cheerfully threw her bag on her back and waved, holding her phone up to her ear. Yes please...

Bakugo gave me a teasing look, wiggling his brows and I quickly shoved past him, holding the bag of 3 books. She was annoying, yet I pleasantly enjoyed her company.. "Hiya Todoroki!" My internal affairs were interrupted by Midoriya falling in step with me as I tracked to the hotel we had booked. I sighed and greeted him as nicely as I could. "We're gonna go eat at the restaurant around the corner wanna join?" I shook my head.

"I was thinking of getting some soba.." His hurt expression said it all but I ignored him and carried on.

"Hey, is that (Y/N)?" I stopped looking up at the girl ahead of us loudly telling someone how to cook pasta.

"I swear to god (r/n) that is not done! Okay. Eat it. Right now." I was bewildered by the tone she held, it was her alright but her voice wasn't timid at all. "See? I told you. Have fun chewing on that for a while. Give it 5 more minutes-" She was cut off by an obnoxious bark that even I heard. "Baby. Calm down. I'm teaching auntie how to cook." I watched and my eyes widened in horror as I saw the hotel come in view.

"I think she's at our hotel. What're the odds?" Izuku joked beside me, but I wasn't laughing.

"No no. I'm almost at the hotel. I'll call you from my room. By then the noodles will be done, uncultured swine." She hung up and I stopped seeing her stop. This isn't good. Gotta go. Gotta go. I panicked looking around for an exit. Upon her walking in I relaxed and looked at Izuku.

"I guess I'll join you...." I grumbled in defeat.

2266 words. Okay what are the odds of something so weird lol! Hope you enjoyed!
