Jedi Fight
Your POV
I ran across the rooftops, heavy blaster in hand. My cloak bellowed in the wind as I spotted the top of the bridge. Years of development allowed for buildings to be constructed as high as the former bridge, but it was nothing I wasnt accustomed to. I ran these rooftops before.
My target resided in the bridge. I dropped to a lower roof level to avoid the arial patrols that guarded the bridge. I dropped another level, now on the building across from the bridge. I looked around. Seeing no patrols, I jumped. A few solid seconds in the air was all it took.
I grabbed an open pipe, now on the outside of the bridge. I crawled my way up as MH38 beeped on comms. "I know." I said. I crawled up to a window, peeking inside. It was an empty meeting room, perfect. I used a device which cut a perfect sqaure in the window, letting me inside.
I placed the window part back, pulling out a tripmine. 38 continued to beep on comms as I kept a level head. "I'm aware." I said, setting it up. I exited the room, looking around. I used my wits and silentness to stay from people's visions. "I'm getting closer." I reported.
I hugged a corner, peeking around. A guard stood outside a meeting room that held the Jedi.
And the King.
I rushed around the corner, stunning the guard before he could say a word. I placed an explosive on the door, most likely alerting those inside. I took cover as it blew. I used the smoke to my advantage and rushed in, stunning the King's guards. I ducked under a slash from the Jedi's lightsaber.
I kicked the Jedi into the wall, getting a grunt from him. "Please dont kill me!" The King pleaded. I ignored him and shot at the Jedi who deflected them all. I magnatized my boots as the Jedi lifted his hand. A force tried to pull me, but failed. I primed an explosive and threw it.
The Jedi rolled out of the way as it blew, concealing us in smoke. I could still see though, thanks to my visor. I ran at the Jedi, tackling him. He kneed my gut, then threw me out the hole in the wall. I flipped off a droid, then used ledges to make my way to the landing platform below.
I landed on the platform near an edge, the Jedi landing on the other side. "Surrender. Before things get worse." The Jedi offered. I stowed my blaster, bringing out my electrohammer. "I'll take that as a no." The Jedi said. I rushed, priming my hammer. I swung down, missing.
I barely lifted my hammer in time to block a slash. I turned up the electricity and slammed the ground, sending a wave of energy twords the Jedi. They doged, only to have to block a full force slam. The Jedi slashed, forcing me to roll. I kicked as soon as I got up, hitting my target.
I swung again, getting blocked again. I tried to bash the Jedi, only for them to backflip. They streatched their hand, sending me back into some crates. I growled. "Why wont you just die?" I asked, running forward. "Because I'm a Jedi. We dont die." He said, pissing me off.
"You think yourself a god!?" I swung full force. The Jedi blocked, but was pushed back. "You think that you cant die!?" I swung again, this blow forcing the Jedi back again. "You're nothing! Like us!" I spin and swung, forcing the Jedi ever closer to the edge. "No." The Jedi said.
He jumped over me, and blocked a strike when landing. "Nor do I think myself far above the rest." He said, backflipping twice into the middle of the platform. "I'm a Jedi. Keeper of the peace." He said as I rushed. "It's the reason I aimed to cut off your arm." I swung again.
"It's the reason I try not to kill you." We engaged in a lock. "I dont die, but become one with the force." He said.
"I'm not above you." He said, turing off his saber. I stumbled forward, but quickly regained my footing. "I refuse to fight anymore. Take my life if you will, but expect no ressistance." He said. I looked at him for a few moments, then turned off the hammer.
I started walking off, only for his voice to call after me. "Why do you let me live?" I turned my head. "You're not one of them. Your fellow Jedi." I answered. "That's why I joined the Council. To stop the commen arrogance." He said. "They why allow yourself to die?" I asked.
"My death would have also worked. My life is a small price to pay to better the Order, no matter how small." He said. I hummed. I like this one. "May you never forget where we all stand." I said. "What is it, behind your mask?" He asked. I did'nt respond. I only walked away.
The walk to my ship was short as I detonated the tripmine. The explosions drew all attention away from me as I hugged my cloak. My escape was masked as I entered the hanger my ship resided in. I entered the bridge of my ship, MH38 looking at me the entire time.
"The Jedi shall live. He isnt like the rest." I said, starting the engines. "Bleep bloop bloop bloop?" MH38 asked. "Raz's Bar. I'll speak to the client." I answered. And with that, the Inferus was blasting away from the capital.
Jedi's POV
I stared at the ship that bounty hunter uses as it flew off into the forrests. "Master!" My padawan exclaimed. "Padawan. Where you watching?" I asked. "Yes Master. I'm sorry." She apologized. "Dont be." I said as I turned back to the forrests. "What did he want? Why did he let you live?" She asked.
"He wanted two things. Credits, and to make a statement." I answered. I then stared my Padawan dead in the eyes. "Let this be a lesson. We, as Jedi, are not above the people. Our connection to the force does not make us better, nor does their lack of it make them below." I said.
"And the Sith?" She asked. "That is for you to find out." I said, turning on my heel and walking inside. My padawan looked at the forrest for a bit before joining me.
