A Bounty Hunter Walks Into A Bar
Your POV
A kid fell down trying to get out of my way. He was but one of many who tried to avoid my path. But I paid them no mind. They did'nt matter. My objective was in sight. Raz's Bar. I entered, the doors parting way for me. Only a few glances were spared my way from patrons.
I approached the counter, taking my seat. "The usual?" Raz, a trandosian, asked. "Where's the payment?" I asked back. Raz sighed before putting a bag of unmarked credits before me. "I was hoping you would've forgot about it." Raz grumbled. I tapped down three credits.
A drink was slid my way, a straw already inside. The straw poked through a hole in my cloth mask, allowing me a good drink.
"And the King of Rweqti publicly announces an alligence with the Republic, with sources saying that a Jedi convinced him. We'll be keeping on this story as it goes. Back to you Jacob." A newscaster said on the holofeed screen above me.
"Once some clones get here, my profits will increase tenfold!" Raz said to me. I did'nt reply. I only took another sip of my drink. Raz sighed. "Why do I ever talk to you? You never reply." He lamented.
"Because I never care about what you say." I explained. Raz huffed. He then looked behind me. "Do you care about the dudes with guns? Cause I sure do!" He exclaimed as blaster shots were heard. "On the ground! This is a robbery!" A voice yelled as Raz ducked behind the counter.
The others in the bar all layed down, putting their vauleables out. I took another sip. I felt something poke my back hard. "That helmet making you deaf?! On the grou-" My robber was cut off as Raz blew her face off with a scatter gun. I got up before her body dropped, grabbing it.
I used it as a shield for a few blaster bolts as I drew one of my pistols, blasting two robbers in the head. Raz shot the last one in the back as he tried to flee. Angry patrons beat him to death as I dropped the body. I wiped a hand on the back of my head, then looked at it.
"White splotches in blue blood. Sparkle." I deduced. "Damm druggies! Always fucking my profits!" Raz angrily stated, reloading. I ripped a cloth from the body, then used it to clean the blood from my helmet. I cracked my neck as I sat back down. A droid collected the bodys and left.
"At least their blasters will fetch a good price with that gun store, and the kill counted by the Scorekeeper." Raz sighed, looking at the good side of things. A bang was heard, along with the doors opening and closing. I took another sip.
"Poor girl. Has been trying to hire someone to kill a Jedi. Nobody wants to though, too dangerous." Raz explained. "How so?" I asked. "L/n! It's a Jedi! Most powerfull bodyguard in the galaxy! Nobody can kill one!" Raz yelled like it was commen knowage. This ticked me.
"And what make's it worse is how they brag about it!" A woman said, sitting beside me. "How so?" I asked. "How so?! Just ask one! They've said how their invincable so many times entire groups bow when one brings out their lightsaber." She explained. I nodded in understanding.
I already knew how arrogant a Jedi could be. I just wanted to know if she knew what she was talking about. "Always thinking themselves above us. I've been trying to get someone to kill one, so the rest will realize how their just like us here in the dumps." She monolouged.
"Which one, and how much." I asked. The woman, a togruta, smiled. "Twenty thousand. Council member Zoa Hensen." She said. "The one who's on this planet?" I asked. "That's him." She verified. "L/n! You cant be serious!" Raz said. "What do you want as proof?" I asked.
"Bring me his lightsaber." She said. "Dank ferrik you are!" Raz exclaimed. "Dont try to skip on payment." I warned, the other patrons, all loyal customers, glared at her. She paid them no mind as she handed me a bag. "500 in advance." She said, looking determined. I took it. "I'll be back."
And with that, I walked out. Rain had started pouring as I walked the metal steets. A consequense of making a settlement in a long crashed warship, you have to simulate things like rain and cold, wind and heat. There were other things promised for simulation, but never delivered.
Then again, the turbolasers and energy shields did make up for that though. If only they paid as much attention to internal security as they did outer. After a few minutes of walking I entered a hanger, security guards posted at the doorway. A security guard was near my ship, a foot on the back of a rodian.
"You the owner of this ship sir?" He asked as I stepped onto the ramp. "Yes sir." I answered, showing a quick display of my credentials. He nodded. "This one was trying to steal a droid from it, and got shocked into parlaryisis until I put him on the ground." The guard explained.
"Heavy gonk droids are not ones to anger. Especially when their shock prods are directly linked to their harshy generators." I said. "What would you like us to do with him?" He asked. "As you would the rest." I said, walking inside. The ramp closed behind me as the camera blinked.
I passed the crates in the cargo hold and walked down the hallways until I entered the bridge. I patted the head of my heavy gonk droid, MH38. "Good boy." I complimented as I got into my seat. MH38 let out some deep beeps as I started the engines and got on comms.
"Flight Control, this is the Inferus. Requesting permission to leave." I said. "Inferus, this is Flight Control. Permission granted. Opening doors for Hanger 3." Flight Control said. I lifted off, and drifted to the now open hanger entrance. Once outside MH38 beeped a question. "Set course for the capital. I'm killing a Jedi." I said.
MH38 beeped. "No. He'll die by my hand, blaster, or hammer. Whichever works." I said. MH38 beeped. "No. But get those OOM droids ready on the turrets. Just in case." I ordered. The Inferus flew over the vasts forrests of Rweqti at moderate speeds. Slowly but surely, the capital came into view over the horizen as the sun set.
The capital itself was constructed in the remains of an old capital ship, much larger than the one Raz's Bar resided in. It even shared the ship's name: Itzwokopo. Apparently translation into galactic standard was rough, much like the name of the planet. Gave me laughs.
MH38 beeped as we neared the Capital. "Transmit the recording. I'm done talking." I said. I prepared a few recordings for each place on this planet for times like this. I stood up from my seat, MH taking control of the ship. I entered my quarters, approaching a wall.
A coffee maker stood on a shelf mounted to the wall, along with all the other coffee related things one needs. The ship shook as I pressed some buttons on the maker. It beeped, then a glass panel covered the shelf. The shelf moved up into the roof as a small section of the wall opened, showing a screen.
I put my gloved hand over it. It scanned then the section closed. A bug chunk of the wall opened up, splitting in half to reveal a large amount of blasters and melee weapons. I took a heavy blaster, an electrohammer, and a blaster pistol just like the one on my hip. Once done I closed the wall.
I grabbed a cloak hanging in my closet before leaving. Time to show the Jedi they're not gods.
(1331 Words. Hope you guys like this new story. You know, I intended for your ship to be the Vulture from Halo Wars, but I put in the wrong picture. But you know what? I think it worked out. Also, I tried writing smaller paragraphs this chapter, as compared to my longer ones I usually write in. I think it worked out okay. I'll see you all later. Oh! In case you dont know what it looks like, here's the Scatter Gun:
