Aphmau's POV

She's finally where she needs to be; up in heaven with Aaron and all the others she helped get there.
"What just happened?" My dad asks, ruining the moment with all his confusedness.
"We let her go~" I tell him.
He goes silent.
"You called her Jessica...correct?"
He questions.
We all turn to look at him.
"Yeah, why~?" Now it's my turn to be confused.
His eyes go wide for a split second and then back to normal.
"Nothing." He quickly says and rushes to the security office.
"Weird." Andy mumbles.
"What was that all about~?" Jason asks no one in particular.
I shrug.

We all spend the rest of the night celebrating Jess' freedom.
We eat food and toast to her and Aaron final getting together again.
For some reason I feel more.....whole now.
"To Aaron and Jess~!" I say, holding up my glass of apple juice.
"To Aaron and Jess(~)!" They all shout after me.
As I take a sip of my drink, my vision goes and I feel myself fall to the floor.
I faintly make out Jason yelling my name before everything goes white.

I stand looking down at Earth from a higher view.
Not too high thought; I can still see people walking around.
"Are you sure?" I ask, my eyes glued on the humans walking around.
"Yes, I am sure." A booming voice next to me says.
"If that's what you want." He adds.
I smile.
"I'm not sure how long it will take though, so be warned." He tells me.
"I don't care how long it takes. I just need to be with them." I tell him.
We both go silent.
"I'll have you sent down as soon as possible."
I turn to look at him.
He smiles at me.
"You won't remember your time here until you come back."
I nod.
"It'll be worth it."
He walks away and I'm left staring at the beautiful brown haired, blue eyes human.

Soon......

I shoot up with a gasp.
"Aphmau~?" Jason is leaned over me.
"Are you okay~?" He asks.
I nod.
"What happened?" SF asks.
"I have absolutely no idea~" I tell her, feeling out of breath.
"How about you go lay down."
Jason helps me up and takes me back to Parts and Service with the kids.
He then helps me lay down on the metal table with them and a blanket.
"When will you let me sing again~?" I ask with a yawn.
"Soon~" He promises.
I smile and drift off to sleep with a smile on my face, still wondering what I just saw.

••~-~••Weeks*Later••~-~••

My eyes open and I groggily get up, carefully placing the kids back on the blanket.
I sleepily walk over to the metal shelf to get some oil to drink.
Picking some up, I glance at the calendar for a split second to see a big red circle on today's date.
I start to sip on the oil when my eyes go wide and I spit out the oil all over the floor.
"What?!" Andy rushes over to me, panicked.
"Are you in pain?" He asks.
"Should I go get SF?" He questions.
"I'll go get her!"
He's about to run out the room when I stop him by taking hold of his arm.
He shoots me a confused glance.
I roll my eyes and point to the calendar.
He raises his metal eyebrow for a moment before he realizes what the circled date mean.
"

OH MY IRENE!!" He shouts, super excited.
"What ye' all be yellin' bout?" Katrina asks, wiping the sleep from her eyes.
"Aphmau finally goes back out today!" He squeals like a school girl.
"And I get to do my first song on the stage~!" I add.
We both jump up and down waking up Joey and Sara along with the kids.
Elizabeth begins to cry.
I quickly go over and pick her up, then rock her back to sleep.
"What happen Mari?" Michael asks.
"Mari's going to sing on the bug stage today~" I tell him.
He smiles and stands up.
"Really?!" He asks, also excited.
"Yes~!" I say.
"Yay!!" He yells and runs out the room, probably to go stand by the stage and wait for me.
We all chuckle at his cuteness.
"Sara and I will take the other two." Joey volunteers him and Sara to take the kids.
"We'll hide somewhere and watch you!" Sara says.
I smile and hug them.
"Thanks kids~"
"No problem Aunty Aph." Andy says.

The door swings open and we all pull out of the group hug.
"We're open!" Andi cheers before running off to greet the kids.
I look back and give nervous smile.
"Aunty Aph gonna do fine." Kat reassures me.
I nod and head out the room, making my way back stage without being seen.

I nervously fiddle with the end of my dress as the Toys sing.
After this song, I go on.
I make sure the microphone is attached to my head properly at least a hundred times.
"Are you okay~?" Jason's voice makes me jump.
"I-I'm fine~!" I stutter.

I smile confidently as Jason walks away, giving me a thumbs up.
"Now!" Denis' voice booms through the entire Pizzaria after their song ends.
"We have a surprise for all of you!" He says.
"One of your favorite singers is finally back from repairs!"
I hear the kids cheer.
I'm no longer nervous after what Jason told me.
"Cheer for The Marionette!!"
He yells.
That's my cue.

I walk out on the stage and wave to all the kids.
They seem so excited.
They cheer for me.
I smile and walk to the middle of the stage.
I take a deep breath and just think back to my conversation with Jason beforehand.

"Are you okay~?" Jason's voice makes me jump.
"I-I'm fine~" I stutter.
He sighs.

I look at the toys and nod.
The music starts.

"What's wrong~?" He asks.

(Start song now)

He then bursts into a fit of laughter.

HEY GUYS!!!!

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE ENDING OF 'Behind The Mask'!!!!!

I AM SO PROUD OF THIS ENDING!!!!

I'VE BEEN AWAKE FOR HOURS WRITING THE LAST FOUR CHAPTERS, AKA THE FINALE, ALL IN ONE GO!!!!
BY THE TIME YOU SEE THIS IT'S BEEN A WEEK SINCE I WROTE THE LAST FOUR CHAPTERS.

THE SEQUEL SHOULD BE OUT IN A MONTH OR SO.
I WANT TO PRE-WRITE SOME CHAPTERS BEFORE I START POSTING IT.

THANK YOU TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE THE BEGINING AND PUT UP WITH THE FIRST TEN OR SO CHAPTERS BEING CRAPPY.
