Blue: Thank you Yukari. So, you live at your parents house?

Yukari: I do, after you killed him, they decided it was best for me to return to them until we find another person for me to marry

Blue: Have you?

Yukari: No, we haven't, maybe one day

Blue: Okay, I hope you do

Yukari: Aww, look at you getting so soft

Blue: I used to be like that right?

Yukari: You were the sweetest child Blue, it still is a shock that you have changed so much and became this seemingly souless child but I understand why....and I can still see the old you inside.

Blue: Hnn

Yukari: Now, it's best if I go home. I imagine you have to go back as well, right?

Blue: Yeah, my team are going to wonder where I am.

Yukari: Then let's say our goodbyes

We both stand up and before I can leave, she gives me a kiss on the cheek before smiling at me. She says goodbye and asks to visit sometime, she leaves the house and I wait a few minutes before approaching the door.

I look behind at the interior of the house which caused me to experience all of my memories here at once. I put my mask back on and left the house, making my way back to the base.....my new home.

When I arrived at the Black Bulls Base, I opened the front door to see that everyone was in the lounge room, talking. But when I entered the room, they all stopped and looked at me with wide eyes and smiles.

Black Bulls: BLUE!

All of them, minus Gauche and Yami ran over to give me a crushing hug but I had other ideas and jumped over them, landing besides Gauche and Yami.

The rest of the Black Bulls didn't anticipate this and collapsed to the ground, they got up and rubbed their heads in pain while I give them a dumbfounded look.

Blue: You should all know by now that I don't do hugs

Magna: Aww come on man! I thought you were warming up to us!

Velvet: Hehe, they're going to have to wait~

Blue: I'll admit that the connection between us is growing, but that doesn't mean you can hug me out of nowhere

Vanessa: B-But I'm your girlfriend!

Blue: You are?

Finral: Have you forgotten what just happened?!

Blue:.....Maybe?

Black Bulls: NAAAANIII?!

Yami: You idiots really expect him to remember relationships and all of that? The only thing drilled in his head is murder.

Asta: C-Captain! That's a bit mean-!

Blue: No no, he is right

Asta: WHHAAA!?

Velvet: Ahahahahaha!

Luck: Hey Blue! Asta was telling us about what happened! You have another spell?

Blue: No, it's just my transformation. It has evolved again

Noelle: Wait so that means it's the third time!

Magna: Yeah! I haven't even seen the first or second one and now you're saying it's gotten better!?

Gauche: How?!

Blue:....Magic

Gauche: Fuck-!

Charmy: Show us!

Blue:........Okay

I close my eye and felt my shadows surround me before it covers my entire body. Once again, my body shifts and my appearance is different than what it was before. My hair was longer and pure white and I looked more like a Demon than....whatever I was before.

The others were shocked, including Asta who had seen it before already, Yami looked at me with slight surprise as if he was thinking more about my power.

Blue: Velvet, have you noticed that I didn't need to open my grimoire and read the spell name?

Velvet: Oh yeah, another perk of Erebus, you can just think about it and it forms around you.

Blue:.....Okay then

Magna: Holy hell!

Luck: That's amazing!

Gauche: What the hell is this power!?

Gordon: Well done my friend

Vanessa: Wow! I'm happy that you're getting better Blue! You deserve a reward~

Noelle: A-Absolutely not!

Charmy: We should celebrate!

Yami: No we won't, we have important things to do soon. But well done kid, you managed to surpass your limits again. But where have you been? You got here much later than the others

Blue: I.....I had to go somewhere

Yami:.....

Blue:......

Yami:.....That's fine I guess.

Everyone goes to bed expect for me and Yami, Asta had already given him the magic stone but he saw that I haven't moved yet, he could tell that I was thinking, especially when I didn't have the mask on.

Yami: Kid, you're spacing out....you got something to say?

Blue:.....There is something I need to tell you

Yami: What's up?

Blue: Do you remember when I told you.......that my mind felt like it was in pieces?

Yami: Yeah I do, it sounded complicated but I think I get it now, you don't even know what was real or not, yeah?

Blue: Exactly, I want to tell you about my past.

Yami: Really? Well, let's sit down, the others should be asleep so it will be just us.

The two of us go back to the sofas of the lounge room and I have a moment of silence before explaining my past to him. Yami was surprised but listened thoroughly, not saying a word until I finished.

When I was done, Yami leans back and sighs, clearly the story had gotten to him.

Yami: Fucking hell kid, so this is why you're like this?

Blue: Y....Yes, the rest of the Bulls don't know I'm dead because I told Asta not to say anything about it. But none of them know my past like you've been told right now.

Yami: Well....I'm glad your old man is dead, but this is too much for you. How are ya holding?

Blue:.......

Yami: Yeah, I forgot you don't know how to feel anymore, but it's a work in progress. Is that all? Or is there something you need to tell me?

Blue: Yes, I still need to go onto the point of my mind being in pieces

Yami: Because your old man decided to bash in your head many times.

Blue: And why I wasn't sure about my early life. But.....when I went back to my old home and read my father's letters that explained everything, I felt some of those broken pieces form.

Yami: Shit, really now? That's a good thing, isn't it?

Blue: I'm not sure, it's like glass and even though it's potentially fixing itself, I don't know what else it will do. I know what my life was back then clearly, but I don't think it can fix.....me.

Yami: Yeah, you're still a walking, talking corpse

Velvet: Oh come on! You don't need to just say it like that!

Blue: Exactly, I'm still this hollow boy, who doesn't know how to feel.....but I think I can live with that

Yami: You sure?

Blue: I've done it for most of my life, haven't I?

Yami:.....Huh, I guess you're right. Well, that's good for you kid, I'm off to bed

Blue: Same

Yami: Wait but you don't slee-

Blue: Exactly

Yami:.....Well have fun lying down in bed

Yami goes to his room and soon after, I go to mine. I sit down on my bed and close my eye before I felt someone sit next to me, my eye reopens and I saw that Velvet was sitting besides me.

And she was more human like, as she had stated before that this is what she looks like in the human world.

Velvet: Hello there~

Blue:......

Velvet: Speeeeeaaaak!

Blue:.......Yes?

Velvet: [Sighs] You're so cold you know? And not because you're literally undead, we all saw you smile that one time. But it was a very small one and you haven't done it ever since

Blue: Is it necessary?

Velvet: Yes! Jeez! You're so-! No, it would be mean of me to call you depressed

Blue: You wouldn't be wrong

Velvet: Which is why I don't want to say it!

Blue:.....You're a good girl, Velvet

Velvet: [Blushes] W-Where did that come from?

Blue: You think I'm wrong?

Velvet: N-No! You're right! It's just that, you.....you don't really give out compliments often

Blue: It's rare, but I've grown accustomed to giving them out to people who deserve it.

Velvet: Great! You're changing for the better!

Blue: Am I really?

Velvet: Yes you are! Stop being depressed! >_<

Blue: [Lightly Smiles] Not my fault

Velvet: [Le Gasp] You're smiling!

Blue: I am?

Velvet: W-W-Wait! Keep it up! Keep it up!

Blue: I forgot how I did it the last time

Velvet: Don't worry, we will figure it out next time! But you better keep it for more than five seconds!

Blue: No promises

Velvet:.....Can I rest my head on your shoulder? You did promise me the other day

Blue: Go ahead.....

Velvet smiles brightly and immediately leans her head against my shoulder, it was.....nice, and I imagine it was an even better experience for Velvet.

We stayed like that for a while until I could see the morning sun through my window. I didn't realise that Velvet was soon gone as well, I was confused on why she would leave but then I got my answer when my door was opened by Asta.

Asta: BLUE!

Blue: [Glares] What?

Asta: S-Sorry! Captain Yami told me to get you because he needs to speak to all of us!

Blue: Why?

Asta: I don't know, he said it was important.

I nod my head at Asta and put my mask back on before leaving my room. When I join the others downstairs, Vanessa immediately hugs my left arm and Noelle sees this, she seemed annoyed and hugs my right arm but I wasn't enjoying this at all.

I use my shadows to gently push them back before Yami comes in and stands in front of us.

Yami: Alright listen up, most of you know what day it is, but for the newbies, I'm here to tell you that today is the Star Festival.

Oh right.....that's today.

Tonight was the Star Festival. This is a festival that happens every year where magic knights and the civilians celebrate. Then at the end we find out which squad has gained the most stars for the year.

As expected, the Black Bulls have never won so I don't expect them to win it.

Velvet: If they win this year or even get second place, you owe me a kiss

Blue:......No

Asta: Alright! I'm excited to see where we are this year!

Magna: Ah it won't matter anyway, we are always last every year

Asta: W-What!?

Noelle: H-How?

Blue: Because it's us

Asta: A valid point....but that changes today! We will be first!

Blue: Unlikely, especially when the Golden Dawn exist. I could easily best their entire squad except for their captain

Gauche: The mad thing is that it's true

Magna: Yeah! Blue is cracked!

Eventually it was time for us to leave and we all went together. When we arrived at the Royal Capital, we saw that decorations were everywhere. Stalls filled the streets and everyone was walking around and having a good time.

If only I can feel that.....

Velvet: Booo! Stop being depressed! You can have a good time!

I ignore Velvet which didn't go well with her, our squad separates, leaving me with Asta and Noelle, the latter wanting to stay with me.

But before we could do anything, we were called by someone and look to see two siblings that we haven't seen for a few days.

Noelle: Kahono!

Asta: Kiato!

Kiato: Yo! Black Bulls!

Kahono: [Waves]

Blue: Didn't expect to see them.
