Langris: Is that my older brother Finral? My disgrace of a brother!

Blue: Then what does that make you? A bigger disgrace?

Velvet: Hah!

Langris: Shut up, you have no place to talk here, peasant

Blue: Is that all you have to say? You're much more of an embarrassment than Finral

Langris: What are you trying to say? That he is somewhat better than me?

Velvet: Yes

Blue: No, I'm saying he is completely better than you, he proves to be more useful while you're just all offense. Even I'm better than you

Langris: Is that so? Are you trying to pick a fight with me?

Before Langris could confront me, a giant gel thing with civilians inside of it came into view. The one that was controlling it was one of those general guys, Langris was going to kill him with his offensive spatial magic, including the civilians but Asta stops them.

Asta: You can't just do that! There are civilians inside!

Langris: So? They will contribute to being great sacrifices

He raises his hand but I quickly restrict it with a shadow wrapping his wrist. He stops and looks at me, I stare back at him and I could see the sweat drop sliding the side of his face. He lowers his hand and my shadow leaves his wrist, he decided to watch as Asta, Finral and Charmy deal with the Diamond General.

It was Finral and Charmy maneuvering Asta towards the General with his smaller Anti magic sword in his mouth. He erases the gel monster and knocks out the Diamond General with ease.

Yuno: Nice job Asta

The civilians fall to the ground but I catch them with my shadows and land them safely. They were all shocked and I was ready for the usual but instead what I got was praise.

Man: Thank you so much Black Bulls!

Man 2: You too Black Bull's Shadow!

Woman: I thought I was going to die! Thank you so much for catching us!

Blue:....Yeah....

I'm getting praised by them? I thought the praise from the residents of the Seabed Temple was all that I would get...but it seems that they are grateful.

Langris: Tch...damn peasants.

Blue: At least we had a better solution than you, especially when you wanted to kill innocent people. You can't think straight can you?

Yuno: I hope so, it would be disappointing if I didn't have a challenge for my journey to become Wizard King. It can't just be an easy pathway for me.

Yuno: I will, I know you can get stronger so make sure you recovers soon. You too Blue, I know you have immense strength waiting to be discovered and that motivates me to reach your level.

We go our separate ways and rejoin with Yami after his talk with Vangeance, we head back to the base and made plans to have a barbeque at night. This would be my first time eating at one because all of the other times they do this, I would be in my room or taking a walk through the forest.

Velvet: Sounds nice

Yeah it is and I wasn't going to attend it this time but unfortunately Noelle had a say about it.

Noelle: Blue you are joining us and more importantly me!

Blue:....Why?

Noelle: Because that's what we are meant to do and I....[Blushes] I want to spend more time with you!

Vanessa: Noelle you don't need to be flustered about that, you're together are you not?~

Noelle: Y-Yes but I've never done this before.

Vanessa: I can demonstrate with Blue for you~

Yami went to take Asta to get his arms checked by Owen and the others did there thing while Noelle stayed with me, then out of nowhere, Constance came inside the base with a Spatial portal.

Constance: Hello everyone!

Asta: Oh hey! You're that lady who mentored Blue right?

Constance: Yes my name is Constance

Noelle: What are you doing here Lady Constance?

Constance: Well I heard you all came back from that important mission so I wanted to congratulate you all, I also want to talk to Blue quickly....outside

Blue: Okay

Charmy: Stay for dinner!

Vanessa: The food will be good, Charmy is a really good cook

Constance: So I have heard, unfortunately I am busy so I need to quickly talk to Blue and then go

Blue: You sleep a lot though

Velvet: Can't blame her

Yeah but she tries to convince me that she doesn't do it often.

Constance: I-I know but don't say that! I-I am very active. Anyways come outside with me Blue

We step outside the base and Constance hugs me, I was confused and she could tell from looking at my face.

Constance: I heard that you did well and you got stronger, as your mentor, I am proud. Tell me about these new found spells

Blue: I just made them, my magic is versatile and powerful, I even upgraded the transformation magic

Constance: Oh that's good, can you control it better now?

Blue:.....I think the control is worse

Constance: You think?

Velvet: It is, it's a strong link to Erebus after all

Blue: It's complicated but just know that I have to understand it more

Constance: I see, I've noticed that you talk more now, what happened?

She hugs me one more time before leaving through a Spatial portal, I go back inside the base and sit next to Noelle who wanted to lean her head on my shoulders but she was hesitant to do so.

I close my eyes and use my shadows to nudge her to lean into my shoulder, she makes a little noise and her face was red.

Blue: Relax Noelle, if you want to do it, then do it. I'm assuming that this is what we have to do?

Velvet: Yeah, I would love to be in her position!

After a few hours, Yami, Asta and Finral came back and I noticed that Finral was conflicted about something. Asta seemed happy but I knew something was off about him, he was hiding an emotion....it was....

The others set up outside near the trees and Charmy got straight to cooking, I sat on one of the logs with Noelle sitting next to me. Charmy made many dishes mostly involving around meat and it did look nice, Vanessa also decided to sit on my right so I was between her and Noelle.

Charmy: Enjoy the food all of you!

Asta: Thank you Charmy!

Luck: Yeah! This is nice!

Vanessa: How is the food you two?

Noelle: It's really good!

Blue: It's.....nice

Vanessa: Blue you can atleast be a bit more enthusiastic about your compliments

Blue:.....How do I do that?

Gauche: God dammit, he seriously doesn't know?

Magna: Blue did your parents not teach you these things?

Noelle: M-Maybe we should drop that subject

Velvet: Yeah! Drop it you fools!

Lucky: Ehh? Why?

Everyone: Huh?

Yami: Do not talk about his family, it's a sensitive subject that he hasn't even told me about.

I'm glad Yami stopped that, I don't even want to mention my life back then. I had a father....who.....beated me badly.....and a mother.....who was she again? Did she leave or die? I don't know.

There was also that other woman, I think my father got with her but why can't I remember her? It's all so......foggy. My father.....I don't remember much about him....he loved me right?

He cared for me like what a father should right? So why do I remember pain when thinking about him?

My mind hurts when I think about that past, I act like I knew what happened but sometimes....I don't even know what happened. Everything is all over the place and it's annoying, why can't I properly see the past? Why do I sometimes know what happened but in the next moment I don't, it's all broken.

I'm confused and I.....I just want to know what happened before I left my home.

Asta:....Just a moment guys, I need to go somewhere

He gets up and leaves as Nero flies onto his head from a tree she was resting on. Asta goes into the forest, leaving us all confused, except for Finral who seems to know. I have an idea considering he came back from having a check up on his arms.

Luck: Why did Asta leave now?

Charmy: I don't know, did he not like the food? Was it poisoned?!

Magna: I doubt that! I'm still here and alive

Vanessa: Should we check up on him?

Finral: All of you, there is...something I need to tell you

Gauche: What is it?

Finral: I overheard what the doctor, Owen, said to Asta regarding his arms, he......he cannot be cured which means he-!

Blue: His arms will be in that state forever

Velvet: Oh shit, really?

Noelle: W-What?

Blue: I had a feeling when I saw him come back, something was off about him.

Gordon: Oh no, that can't be true

Magna: Dammit!

Luck: Are you sure it can't be fixed?

Vanessa: Oh dear that's why he walked off, he wanted a moment with himself

Grey: W-W-We should ch-check up on him!

Charmy: Yes!

Gauche: Yeah, that's rough for him.

Yami: Damn, that Despair guy really did a number on him.

All of us decide to follow Asta and look for where he went, we hid behind some trees and saw that he was sitting on a rock near a cliff. He was looking at the moon with Nero on his head, a strange sound was coming from him and I was confused.

Velvet: He's.....crying

Crying?

Velvet: When someone is really sad, they start to cry, water comes from their eyes.

Oh.....why does that seem familiar? Have I cried before?

Velvet: I haven't seen you cry so probably not

Yeah.....but what about before?

It seems like Asta was going to cry when suddenly he jumped up and screams at the Moon.....does he have an issue with the moon?

Asta: Damn you fate! You just had to screw with me again yeah?! Well watch out because I'm not going to give up!

Noelle: That baka...at least he hasn't given up, it would have been very uncharacteristic of him

Luck: Yay! Asta is happy again!

Magna: [Tears up] A-Asta you're truly a man!

Yami: Hehe not bad kid

Blue: Why is he angry at the moon?

Gauche: God dammit, he is angry at fate for screwing him up

Blue: Oh....

Should I be angry at Fate?

Velvet: I don't know, did it screw you over?
