Timeskip: 7 Years.

Man 1: Hey hurry up! Before the Magic Knights find us! We need to deliver these lists to the Spade Kingdom!

On the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom, there was a group of traitors. They were bribed by those who rule the Spade Kingdom to steal some information on the Clover Kingdom and deliver it to them.

They were so close to the border, however they wouldn't make it far for a lone Magic Knight came to stop them.

Man 2: Boss! There's a Magic Knight!

Man: A Magic Knight? Just one?

The group look in front of them to see that there was just one Magic Knight. He was around medium height with dark blue hair but they didn't know what he looked like due to the mask on his face.

Man: Huh? What squad is he from? Is that the Black Bulls Robe? Hah! Lucky us boys! It's only someone from the shitest Squad!

The men celebrate that the Magic Knight is from the Black Bulls, however......they fail to realise just who I am.

Blue: If you surrender now, I'll let you live

Man: Oh really? And what makes you think that you're in charge in here?

Blue: Shadow Magic.......Mask of Illusion

The confident faces of those traitors dropped once they realised that the area had changed, there was a mist around. They turned their attention back to me but then realise I wasn't there. Instead, it was this.

Man 3: W-What is that?!

Man 2: T-That can't be the same kid right?!

Man 1: N-No it's fake! T-Trust me!

The shadow figure attacks the group and makes then tremble in fear, they dropped to the ground and shivered on the ground. However, to those not under my illusion, they were scared....of nothing.

Blue: You're all pathetic, betraying the kingdom you were born in for another. You all don't deserve to live

I used Umbra Manipulation to kill off the group, their blood stains the ground and their scream could be heard from a mile away. Once I was done, I travelled back to the Black Bulls Base using my shadows.

Blue: Another mission completed....

Once I was at the doors to the base, I opened them and go inside. Immediately the other members of the squad and our Captain Yami noticed my arrival.

(Minus Asta, Noelle, Nero. Also Grey is in her fake form)

Yami: Oh you're back, how was the mission?

Blue:.........Completed

Yami: I didn't mean what was the status of the mission, I meant how was it for you......[Sighs] Seriously this kid hasn't changed.

I was going to walk towards my room but then a half clothed and drunk Vanessa stops me.

Vanessa: Hey Blue~

Blue: Yes?

Vanessa: When will you show us your face? We haven't seen it since you first joined~

Blue: Never

Luck: Hey Blue! Can we fight?

Blue: No

Finral: B-Blue do you not trust us?

Blue: What so you think?

Magna: Hey Blue! Stop disrespecting your seniors!

Blue: No

Charmy: Want some food?

Blue: No

Vanessa: But Blue, you haven't eaten in so long! It's been-!

Blue: 5 months

Magna: Yes! How are you even still alive?!

Blue: Don't worry

I once again try to leave and go to my room but my Captain stops me.

Blue: What?

Yami: Today is the Magic Knight ceremony and you, Gordon and Finral are coming with me

Blue:.......Fine

Finral makes a portal and the four of us go through and end up at one if the towns near the Royal Capital, we go to the Colosseum where the Magic Knight test will happen. This is where we will choose new recruits, in other words, more people for me to ignore.

Yami wanted me to talk with everyone in the Black Bulls but I either refused to or just said one sentence and leave. I don't trust them, I don't trust anyone, not Yami or even the Wizard King......

I don't even trust myself.

Yami gets lost and ends up at the centre area where the recruits will be, a boy around the same age as myself but much smaller than me, bumps into Yami and another boy walks up to the smaller one.

Yami tries to kill the short one but I held him back with my shadows, a mistake by me.

Boy: Wait is that the Black Bulls?

Boy 2: Yeah! That's their captain! Yami Sukehiro!

Girl: Finral Roulacase and Gordon Agrippa!

Girl 2: [Gasp] Look! It's also Blue Light! The Black Bull's Shadow!

Girl 3: Oh my god she is right! He is so mysterious! No one knows what he looks like behind that mask

Boy: H-He is really scary

Girl 2: I wonder what he looks like behind the mask

God dammit, why did I agree to come?

Blue: Yami, we have to be at the top with the other captains

Yami: Yeah you're right, let's go

Yami goes towards the stairs and I go to follow him but not before I look at the short boy one more time.

Something was off about him and I knew why, he had no magic, I could feel it from him. I could also feel the immense amount of mana coming from the other boy with the short one.

I follow the others to the top where the other captains were, Yami takes his seat as the other captains appear before everyone and take their seats.

Me, Finral and Gordon stand beside Yami and I could see that some of the captains had one of their members with them.

So why the hell did Yami take me? I understand Finral but why me and Gordon?

With the Captain of the Silver Eagles, Nozel Silva, he has one of his younger sisters, Nebra Silva with him.

(Despite being a mostly hated character, she has a lot of Fanart, she even looks better in these arts than in the actual show)

I also noticed that Langris, the vice captain of the Golden Dawn had accompanied his captain, William Vangeance.

William: Yami, I see you brought your mysterious recruit

Yami: Yeah well I thought Blue might as well come, he just came back from an easy mission

Charlotte: Where did you even get him from? We know nothing about him, not even what magic he uses.

Yami: Yeah well he can tell you when he wants to

Gueldre: Well I want to know what's behind his mask, I'll even forcefully take it off myself

Blue: Go anywhere near me and I will put you in your place

Charlotte: D-Did he just threaten a captain?! Who is this boy Yami?

Nozel: So not only is this boy mysterious, but he has not respect for anyone

Fuegoleon: There was no emotion at all in that, I know this is the third time I have heard him speak but I can't help but feel he has some problems within himself

William: Just who are you? Blue Light? What magic do you possess?

Jack: Kekeke, this boy is interesting, I like his vibe

Nebra: W-Who is this? Why do I get a bad feeling from him?

Everyone was shocked that I had just threatened a Magic Knight Captain and Gueldre was pissed. I could feel the glares coming from him, Nozel  and Langris, however Yami just laughs.

Yami: HAHAHAHA! Even if there is no emotion in that threat! He shut you up! I don't regret picking him now!

After Yami stopped laughing, everyone moved on and the ceremony begins and I watch in silent as the two stand outs were the two boys I saw earlier.

The small boy struggled to do anything while his friend had amazing wind magic and excelled at everything, I saw that he had a fourth leaf clover and I knew he had big potential.

Blue: That boy......

Yami: You see it too?

Blue: He has no magic

Yami: Yeah and his friend is the complete opposite

Blue:.....You're going to pick the small one aren't you?

Yami: Hehe, you know me so well. Wish you could say the same about me

Blue:........

It was time for the last test, the combat one, at least maybe this one will really interest me. First it was the no magic boy who went up against this fool who pretended to be his friend earlier on, only to pick him to make himself look good.

This is why I don't trust anyone or make any friends, because something like this happens. I trusted a man one time and he broke my mind, I won't let it happen again.

The battle starts and the boy takes him out in one hit, his grimoire was a five leaf clover and a giant sword came out of it. That was how he won......now that was interesting.

???: I'm not here to laze around! I'm here to work my butt off and become the Wizard King

Okay....this boy is really something, not that I would be friends with him.

Yami: Heh, not bad

Rill: He cancelled his attack?!

A lot of people were talking about it but it soon died down when the other matches began, nothing really got my attention except for the four leaf clover boy.

He went up against a noble and humbled him easily with his wind magic, I also heard that his name was Yuno and his smaller friend was called Asta.

Yuno walks away but then the noble he defeated got up and was pissed, he clearly didn't like being put down like that so he tried to attack Yuno.

Yami: Blue....

Blue: I know

Noble: Take this! YUNO!

The Noble tried to attack Yuno but he was stopped by shadows wrapping around him, restricting his movements.

Noble: W-What?

Blue: You're an embarrassment

Noble: Y-Y-You are!

Blue: You know who I am.....so I suggest you refrain from struggling. You wouldn't want your body snapped in half now? Would you?

Noble: N-No

Blue: Good...now get out of my sight

I use the shadows the throw this pathetic excuse of a human into the wall, everyone was shocked except for Yami and I look at Yuno.

Blue: Always watch you back....Yuno

Yuno:.....Right...

I jump back at the top and stand near Yami while everyone was still surprised by my actions.

Finral: B-Blue did you have to do that?

Blue: Yes

Nozel: What was that? It looked like Yami's Magic but it was different. He controlled those things with ease.

Charlotte: It's similar to my briars but I can't help but feel he is hiding more.

Once all of the battles were over, the captains would raise their hands when a recruit comes forward. It is up to that recruit to pick what magic Squad they want to join but only if they get more than one offer, if only one captain picks them then they have not choice just like myself.

That Yuno boy got all of the captains to raise their hands but he picks the Golden Dawn which caused some commotion between the other recruits.

Then it was the Anti Magic boy's turn and at first it seemed like no one would pick him but then Yami decides to do this.

Finral: Oh wow! We finally get a recruit! Isn't this exciting!

Gordon: [Mutters] Yes I can't wait to be friends with him

Finral: I have no idea what you said but that's fine! What about you Blue?

Blue:......I don't care

Finral: O-Of course you don't.....I wish you can open up with us more.

Yami jumps back up and sits back down before yawning.

Yami: Well there is my one recruit for five years

Blue: Didn't you tell me that you got a another secret one?

Yami: Huh? Oh yeah, Braids other sister

Blue: Oh it's her......

Yami: What? You want to talk to her? She is your age

Blue:.......No

Yami: I figured, oh well let's go and meet our recruit
