Blue: He is mine and mine alone

I had emerged from another destroyed house, when I was out in the open, I realised that my mask was destroyed and I was bleeding black.

My face was now revealed to the others.

Noelle: I-Is that Blue? W-Why does he look kind of cute?

Mimosa: Blue's mask is off! I-I didn't think he would be so adorable!

Constance: So this is what my student looks like? He really needs to keep it off more, there is nothing wrong with his looks.

Charlotte: He broke his mask, so this is what the Black Bull's Shadow looks like. He is very young.....and c-cute. Wait what are you saying Charlotte?!

Nebra: So this is what he looks like? He looks......handso-. NO NO! H-HE IS UGLY! W-WHO SAID I FOUND HIM CUTE?!

Sol: He doesn't look that special, I don't know why the other Blue Roses were anticipating his looks. He just has blue fluffy hair, a normal face, a-a mesmerising eye colour and.....yeah that's it! N-Nothing special!

Asta: Is that Blue?! He looks cool with that thing over his eye!

Yuno: Why is his blood black?

Asta: Ehh? I didn't know that, maybe he is different?

Nozel: Just like your personality, your face is.....dead, full of nothing. What is your story? Black Bull's Shadow?

Blackwell: Oh so you want round 2?

Blue: I didn't, you asked for it so don't complain when I beat you

Blackwell: Hah! Beat me? I like that from you Light.

I didn't respond to Blackwell, instead I create two shadow katanas and attack Blackwell who tries his best to defend and overwhelm me but his face was full of surprise when I was getting more aggressive in my attacks.

Blackwell: W-What? Where did this come from?!

Blackwell defended and whenever he tried to attack me, I made sure he didn't get a chance. I kept slashing at him, getting a few hits in and forcing Blackwell to pull his claw back for a more defensive stance.

Asta: I knew Blue was strong but I didn't know he was this crazy! That Blackwell is really strong!

Yuno: Yeah, he is pushing Blue to use a decent amount of his power. I know he has more in him.

The other Magic Knights start to fight this cult of wizards seeing as how they were distracted by my fight with Blackwell.

Blackwell: What the hell?! Where did this come from?!

Blue: You don't need to worry

Blackwell: I think I do!

Blackwell tries to reduce the damage with his enhancement magic but it proves to be useless as I didn't stop at all. I kept pushing him back and inflicting damage with my blades, next I create a long battle axe and attack him with that.

Once I felt I was bored, I decided to use that new spell I learnt. My grimoire pages show me the new spell just as I pull my hand back, the same purple energy swirled in my hands and formed and sphere.

Blue: Shadow Magic: Curse of Erebus

I push my hand forward and fire the sane energy wave to blast Blackwell a few miles away.

As soon as I blasted him away, remnants of the energy swirled around my hand before vanishing. I look behind at the others saw that the other Magic Knights were still fighting the enemy but were winning.

Then one of the enemy wizards, Sally, creates a gel monster and it grabs Asta who couldn't defend himself due to his injuries from before.

Noelle: Asta! Nozel help him!

Nozel uses his mercury magic to try and save Asta but Sally uses a magic item to raise its defence, even Nozel's magic couldn't damage it. I was going to help Asta but part of me was preventing me.

It was like my mind was pulling me back, do I want to save Asta? Or will he be fine? Maybe someone else will help him.......

???: This isn't over yet, Magic Knights. We will come back, remember that we, the Eye of the Midnight Sun, will never forgive the Clover Kingdom for what they have done. This will not be the last time we will cause you trouble.

Valtos creates some spatial portals and they all escape through it, in assuming they went to get Blackwell. They took Asta and we all just stood there for a moment.

Nozel: Eye of the Midnight Sun......

Noelle: Nozel we have to go for Asta!

Nozel: No, the main priority now is to secure the perimeter and protect the kingdom.

Noelle: Blue! W-We have to help Asta!

Blue:......No Noelle, Asta will be fine, Julius will most likely get him

Noelle: The Wizard King? How sure are you that he will?

Blue: Just wait

Noelle: Okay....Blue's voice sounds really nice now that his mask is off. It wasn't as clear before but now it makes me.....feel different. It almost makes me feel safe.

The others wait while Fuegoleon and Leopold is taken to get medical help.

I lean against the tower where the Vermillion brothers were getting treated, my eye was closed but I noticed that I was getting many stares from the others.

No one said anything but then footsteps were heard, I look up and saw that it was Nebra Silva who walked over to me. She hands me a bag which confused me but she clarifies what it is.

Nebra: It's the pieces of your broken mask.

That's......strange. I didn't expect her out of all people would give me my broken mask back. What convinced her to even do this?

There was a silence between us and I slowly raise my hand and take the bag, I look at her with my empty eye and Nebra's face goes red from my stare.

Nebra: E-Even though he has one eye, it looks.....beautiful

Blue:.....Thank.....you

Nebra: He thanked me?! N-No problem

Asta: WHAAAAT?! Blue actually thanks her?!

Nozel:....Interesting

Nebra's face goes even more red and she walks away.

Nebra: Why did I do that? I don't even know him!

I wipe the blood from my face and look at it, it's still black. It's....very uneasy for me. I have killed people and seen with my own eye that their blood was red.

So why is my own blood black? And why does it put me off? Maybe it's because I am the monster that I was always made out to be since my birth.

Not just by my own father but the people of this kingdom........

They don't see me as a Magic Knight that they would be full of hope to see. They see me as some sort of evil entity that wants to watch people suffer and their hands.....

Nozel: His blood....it's black. But why? That isn't normal.

Mimosa: I hope Blue is alright, he looks hurt!

Charlotte: Yami told me that Blue is 15, so what happened to his left eye? No child should lose that, there's a story behind it and Blue most likely won't tell anyone

Julius: Hello everyone, how are you?

We look towards where Julius was standing, he suddenly appeared out of nowhere with Asta under his arm.

Asta: H-Hey everyone ^_^

Klaus: Asta!

Mimosa: You're okay!

Nozel: Julius, Fuegoleon has been hurt badly.

Julius: Yes I heard, do we have any idea why he was targeted?

Nozel: No

Blue: The Midnight Sun clearly have a goal

Julius: Yes and I believe I know why. Also I didn't expect to see your face today out of all days Blue

Blue: It was broken by the Eye's strongest member.....but something tells me that there are stronger members that I haven't met yet.

Julius: Yes. I had just met their leader.

Asta: Hey this means you can show your face more now, right?

Blue: No [Walks Away]

Noelle: Blue w-wai-

Noelle was going to stop me from leaving, but she stopped herself from doing so. While the others stayed at the Capital for a bit, I went back to the base. Once I entered the base, it was just Yami in the lobby, he was surprised to see me without my mask but I didn't have much time to talk.

Blue: I don't have to talk much Yami, the Royal Capital was attacked and we have a new enemy. The Eye of the Midnight Sun, someone in their ranks who none of us have seen took out Fuegoleon.

Yami: Shit, is he dead?

Blue: No he's alive, but he has lost an arm. Do you know someone who can fix my mask?

Yami: Yeah I do, but that mask is unhealthy for you kid. I can see marks on your face.

Blue: You're literally a smoker

Yami:...Tch, fine kid I'll get it fixed for you

I throw Yami the bag that contained the broken fragments of my mask and go upstairs to my room. I wanted to avoid everyone, I didn't want them to see my face.

I sit down on my bed after locking my door, I was still bleeding in areas and my clothes were torn.......but I don't care.

Back there with Blackwell......I should've been faster, if I was then no one would see my tace. How could I get so careless? I should've made sure Blackwell was dead.

???: Oh don't beat yourself up, you're amazing!

.......Who was that? Who just spoke to me? Am i hearing voices? Have I gone insane?

???: Oh don't worry Blue, I'll be having a talk with you so don't panic! Not that you know how to

All of a sudden I felt light headed, I tried to remain conscious but failed to as I faint on my bed........

WaKE uP.

My eye slowly open and I immediately look around once I noticed that I wasn't in my room anymore. I was in some sort of Void in space, it was black, purple and blue that surrounded me, I almost thought I was actually in space.

I felt a massive presence behind me so I look and saw a big, shadow tree looming over me. The tree had many branches and they looked similar to the one that stabbed me back in the Dungeon.

???: Beautiful isn't it? Could use some pink though

I look at my side and saw a girl shorter than me but she was very.....unique looking.

???: Hello!

Blue:.........

???: [Pouts] At least speak to me!

Blue:....I don't even know who you are

Velvet: Agh, okay then. My name is Velvet! And I'm a Demon!

Blue:.....Where are your parents little girl?

Velvet: L-Little?! I'm only 5'6! You're at least 5'11! I know who you are Blue Light

Blue: How do you know who I am?

Velvet: Do you remember what happened to you in the Dungeon?

Blue:....I do, is this tree the same one that stabbed me?

Velvet: It was but only because someone was interested in you so much that they decided to gift you with something.

Blue: My new spell.....

Velvet: Exactly! You're doing great! Also why are you not questioning me on how I'm a Demon?

Blue: I'm not bothered, I want to know why my blood is black and who uses that tree

Velvet: Well I have no idea why your blood is back, but I can tell you that a very high ranking Demon control that tree. He resides inside of it, how I know? Well I'm his trusty assistant of course!

Blue: Who is this Demon?

Velvet: His name is Erebus and that tree is called the Spine of Erebus. Each tree has a gift for those that Erebus finds worthy which in this case.....it's you.

Blue: Why?

Velvet: Well you encountered it by walking into a Pocket Dimension where it could access you and because Erebus is known........as the God of Shadows!
