Chapter 35
Sean's POV
My internal doctor clock had me awake just before sunrise. I lay there watching her sleep for a while. She looked so serene, so perfect. When I'd showed up on her doorstep I never dreamed things would go the way they did. I just felt so lost, so overwhelmed. The first person I thought of was her, and then when I heard her say she loved me... My entire world fell into place at that moment.
I glanced at the clock and remembered she had guests, so I quietly slipped out of the bed. I'll just grab a quick shower and slip out before her friend realizes I'm here. I stood under the spray as the room filled with steam. I must have been lost in my thoughts because I didn't even hear her open the door. "How are you feeling this morning," she asked, her arms slipping around my waist as she pressed her chest against my back.
I put my hands over hers and leaned my head back a bit, "Unbelievably blessed." I turned around and pulled her into a kiss, then said, "Sorry if I woke you. I was trying to avoid the awkward meet your friend situation. I wasn't sure if you wanted her to know I was here."
Marissa leaned up and pecked my lips, "I don't mind if you don't. Besides, the permanent smile on my lips will give it away even if you leave." She gave me a smirk and knelt down.
As she began to run her hand over my balls I moaned, "What are you doing, sweetheart?"
"Just making sure you keep your smile all day long," she giggled and took my length into her mouth. I groaned as my hips snapped forward and I gripped her hair. She bobbed up and down, hollowing her cheeks as she massaged my balls more. I felt myself getting close and pulled her back. "What?" she asked. I tugged her up and slammed my mouth against hers, backing her up to the tile wall. I tapped her leg and lifted her up, then slid into her warmth. She let out a low moan as her legs wrapped around my waist and her arms around my neck. "Sean," she whispered. I thrust upward, trying to go as deep inside her as I could. She felt amazing, her body responding to every movement I made.
My lips grazed along the skin below her ear as I sucked lightly. I whispered, "I love you," and let myself fall over the edge, cumming inside of her in rapid bursts as she clamped down on me, milking my cock as she came also. We were panting and grinning when we heard a knock on the door and froze.
"Aunt Rissa, can you make us pancakes? Mommy's tummy is upset but Jackie and I want pancakes," a small boy's voice called out.
"Sure sweetie, I'll be out in a few moments. Make sure you close my bedroom door so I can get dressed, Troy," she answered, then gave me a quick kiss. "So, would you like to join us for breakfast?"
"No place I'd rather be, sweetheart," I told her, watching her face light up. "Just realize, I can't help, well, unless you have really great insurance on the place."
She giggled, "Yeah, I remember Nate warning me about both of your cooking skills or more to the point a lack thereof." I laughed as we got out of the shower and dried off. I put on the scrubs I'd worn to her place. At least they were the clean pair I kept in my car, not the ones from work. I shivered remembering last night until I felt her arms around my waist again. "Hey, come back," she whispered, "It's over now. Just focus on being here with me at this moment."
I blinked back tears I didn't even realize I had and gave her a smile as I kissed her nose. "I'm here, love." She said good and grabbed my hand, leading me to the kitchen where two messy young boys were sitting. She turned on the television for them and started rummaging through the pantry. I leaned against the breakfast bar just watching her. It was obvious she knew her way around the kitchen as well as North. When she started humming to herself, I smiled, but when her hips started swaying to the tune, I groaned and came up behind her. "Keep moving like that, and those boys will starve while I have my breakfast," I growled in her ear. She squealed and giggled, pulling away to pour batter onto the skillet.
She shook the spatula at me, "You sir, are incorrigible."
I winked at her, "Always sweetheart - it's a southern talent to drive women crazy."
I felt a tug at my shirt, "Are you Aunt Rissa's boyfriend?" the small boy asked. I looked up at her and she smiled. That was all the permission I needed.
Kneeling down in front of him, "Yes, I am." I held my hand out to him, "My name's Sean. What's yours?"
He grinned and took my hand in both of his, shaking it vigorously, "I'm Troy and that's little Jackie, but he doesn't really talk yet. Why do you have on funny clothes?"
I chuckled, "Well, I'm a doctor, and this is what I wear when I work at the hospital."
His eyes went wide, "Really? That's cool." Then he turned and went back to his cartoons.
I stood, chuckling, and turned to look at her. She was just staring at me with a soft smile on her lips. "Don't take it personally," she said, "I was kinda impressed he stayed focused that long." She began setting the table and looked up when her friend entered the room. "Morning sleeping beauty," she teased.
The woman made a few grumbled responses and headed toward the coffee pot. She took a sip and then sputtered, "What the fuck is this?" She glanced between the cup and Marissa then seemed to realize I was there. "Who's he? Oh, wait, you're one of the Blackbournes, right?"
I nodded as Marissa answered, "Chloe, I'm sure you remember Dr. Sean Green, and as for the drink, it's herbal tea. You're pregnant - coffee is a no-no." I smirked at her mothering tone until she shot me a side glance. I quickly schooled my face.
I glanced back to Chloe and held out my hand, "Nice to see you again, Chloe." She looked at me, blinking, then finally shook my hand. "So how far along are you?" I asked. She tilted her head. "Sorry, doctor habit."
Waving me off, she replied, "Five months about. I go in for my first appointment next week."
I was a bit surprised but kept it to myself. Marissa however, had no such restraint. "Chloe! What on earth? Why didn't you schedule sooner? After the troubles you had with Jack Jr, you need to be careful." I raised my eyebrows as she turned to me. "Help me out here, Sean."
"Well, I'm not sure what happened, but if you had complications, then it would be best to get in as early as possible. Are you seeing the same OBGYN?" I asked, strapping her youngest son into a highchair as Marissa sat next to him, cutting up his pancake. It didn't escape my attention that Chloe was more than happy to let Marissa care for her children. She hadn't even acknowledged her boys since entering the room.
She sat a few seats away, sipping the tea with a sour look, "No, I have a new doctor. He was a referral, my OBGYN retired. They didn't seem concerned when they reviewed my records."
Marissa was still frowning, so I rubbed her hand, "That's a good sign. I'm sure everything will work out just fine." I pulled up a seat next to her as Troy climbed up next to me. I helped him put peanut butter and chocolate syrup on his pancake, then cut it up. I laughed to myself imagining the heart-attack North would have at that. I listened as the two women talked about work and the kids, but didn't really join in the conversation. When Troy spilled his milk, I jumped up to grab towels and bumped into Marissa who had done the same. We shared a knowing smile as we cleaned the mess.
"Troy, you really should be more careful!" Chloe scolded the boy. I saw his lip quiver, tears edging his eyes.
I nudged his shoulder and handed him a towel, "Here big guy, help me clean this up." I gave him a reassuring smile, "Everyone makes messes. Part of being a big kid is cleaning up after ourselves." He gave me a smile and started soaking up the milk. Marissa came behind him with a dryer towel, but he worked hard to help. I could see the look of love on her face towards those boys. Sad that their own mother didn't seem to be very invested in them.
It wasn't much longer before Chloe got up and mumbled about needing to shower. Once she had disappeared down the hall, we cleaned the boys and left them playing in the front room while we cleaned up the breakfast dishes. "I just don't get it," Marissa sighed, her shoulders slumping. "They've changed so much. Her whole world used to revolve around those boys, and Jackson was a great dad, but now, well now they're like alien imposters."
I put my arms on the countertop around her, pressing my lips to her head, "I don't know, love. With what you've told me, she might be lashing out because of their relationship and her fear about bringing another child into a possibly failed marriage."
She leaned back against me, lifting her head upward, "I just feel so bad for the boys."
I kissed her nose and gave her a smile, "I know, and that's just one of the many reasons I love you. You have a huge heart, Marissa." I glanced at the clock and swore, "Damn, I need to call the hospital and check on a couple of patients." I patted my pocket and realized the phone was still in the bedroom. "I'll be right back." She kissed my chin and went back to washing dishes as I headed down the hall.
I stopped short when I stepped into the bedroom and saw Chloe in there. "Chloe, is everything okay?" I asked her. She had a slightly panicked look as she held a water bottle in her hand.
"Um, uh, yeah," she stammered, "I was nauseous and came to grab a water bottle from Rissa's mini-fridge." I looked behind her to see the concealed minifridge standing open. It looked full minus the one bottle. Why would she come in here instead of going to the kitchen which was closer to her room and the guest bathroom? I think Victor needs to do some deep digging on her. We might even need to call in a favor from Corey.
I quickly scanned the room trying to see if I noticed anything out of place. "Okay, well I need to grab my phone and make a call. Sorry to ask, but can you step out since it's hospital related?"
She scowled then quickly put on a fake smile, "Of course, I should have just grabbed one from the kitchen." She put the bottle back in the minifridge and left the room.
I shut the door after she left and started snapping pictures of the room. I just had a bad feeling. After checking in on a couple of patients at the hospital, I texted my husbands.
Group text: Sean: Sorry if I worried anyone last night. I lost a patient and ended up on Marissa's doorstep. She kindly took sympathy on me and let me stay.
Owen: She texted me last night to let me know you were safe. How are you this morning?
Sean: much better ❣️
Gabe: why do I think there's a fucking story here
Luke: or an orgasm that didn't require food
Sean: 😀 Speaking of food, North, breakfast made me think of you...pancakes with chocolate syrup and peanut butter
North: *choking* What???
Sean: LOL! Chloe's boys asked for pancakes and apparently, that's how they eat theirs.
Kota: Wait, her friend, and kids are still there? How did that go over?
Marissa: It went wonderfully gentlemen. Good morning! 💋
Luke: Good morning, sugar - so how many orgasms?
Victor: *spits out coffee* Damn - direct much, Luke?
Marissa: 😏 Marissa - 9; Sean - 6
Nate: 😳😳😳😳😳
Gabe: 👏 nicely done, Sean
Sean: 🙇 I do believe my partner had a lot to do with my performance
Marissa: *giggle* would that be in the bed, or the shower?
Sean: hmmm...maybe the encore that's about to happen...
Silas: ...
Owen: well, on that note, are we going to see either of you today - or shall we assume you're staying in bed today
Marissa: I don't know - what are we doing, boyfriend *giggle-snort*
Silas: Boyfriend? Wait, what did we miss?
Sean: I take my title seriously, sweetheart. Chloe's oldest asked if I was Marissa's boyfriend and of course, I said yes.
Luke: 😞 I want to be her boyfriend too
Gabe: 😞 me three
Marissa: 💋 Then I guess we'll have to discuss that
Kota: Kitten, I think you and Sean should come to the manor sometime today, please.
Marissa: 😸 yes master - now, I need to help Chloe pack up 💋💋💋💋 see you soon gentlemen
Sean: I'm going to go help her. 💋 be home in a few hours...
Silas: I think he means a few orgasms...
Sean: 😀
Before I left the bedroom, I sent Victor the pictures I'd taken. Hey, can you try and dig deeper into Chloe? She was in Marissa's room snooping I think when I came to call the hospital. According to Marissa, she's also acting really odd. I just have a bad feeling in my gut about her and her husband. You might need to call in some old Academy contacts.
Victor: Sure thing, love. I was getting an odd vibe from her the other day as well. Let me reach out to Corey and see if he can help. Have fun 💋
Sean: 💋 always
I came down the hall, lingering for a moment as I watched Marissa. She was bent down tying the littlest boy's shoes. He looked at her like she was an angel, then again, I think she might really be one. She bopped his nose with her finger and stood, noticing me. "There you are," she smiled, "Would you help me take Chloe and the boys down? I have a car waiting for them already."
"Of course," I grinned and scooped up the little boy who giggled and pulled the duffel bag over my other shoulder. Chloe had her rolling bag, while Marissa held Troy's hand as we rode the elevator down. She hugged each of them and I exchanged pleasantries, then we headed back into the elevator. When it opened to her floor, I pulled her against her door but didn't open it. "Hmmm, are there any cameras up here?" She nodded. "Who can see them?"
Her eyes went wide, "Uh, only me and the security staff if I request." I gave her a playful growl and buried my face in her neck, pushing her legs apart. She groaned when I bit down on the spot just below her ear, "Sean, what are you doing?"
I loved how breathless, how desperate her voice sounded as I continued to suck on her neck, my hands slipping under her top. "I'm investigating my girlfriend's voyeuristic tendencies," I murmured as my mouth latched onto her nipple and she arched. I lifted her onto the hallway table and pulled her shorts and panties aside as I thrust my fingers inside. Her whimper echoed in the empty hallway as her fingernails dug into my biceps. Within moments she was grinding on my hand, begging to cum. As I sent her over the edge, I slid my own pants down, then slammed inside of her. Her head was thrown back, lips parted as tears slid down her cheeks - she was breathtaking. I came quickly but didn't pull out. Instead, I wrapped her legs around me and pulled her close, then shuffled toward her door.
She giggled as she put her thumb on the biometric lock, "Putting me down would be easier, you know."
I grunted as I opened the door, "But then I wouldn't be able to do this," I grinned as I turned us around and pressed her back against the door, beginning to pump inside her again. Silas was right, we'd be home after a few orgasms. I wasn't giving up her undivided attention any sooner than I had to. We made love and explored each other's bodies in every room of the apartment and on multiple surfaces before ending up on the blanket in the front room, panting. "Professionally speaking," I chuckled, "I think we just did the equivalent of a marathon."
She laughed, "Good grief, what have I gotten myself into?" I leaned up on my elbow, my eyebrow raised. She poked her finger against my chest, "If just you have this much stamina, then I may need life support to survive all nine of you!"
I blinked for a few moments, then let out a roaring laugh. Pulling her to me, I crashed my lips against hers, "Oh sweetheart, I promise you'll keep up with us. Besides, we will all take everything at your pace. Just because you and I have had sex, doesn't mean the others expect it to happen now. All of us are different, just like you are. Let it all happen the way it's meant to."
She sighed and pecked my cheek, "At least it would be the perfect way to go - in the arms of people I love." My breath hitched and she quickly leaned up, "I'm sorry."
I shook my head, "No, it's not," I sighed, "I just never thought, well, after Sang. I know my husbands love me, but I never thought we'd ever find another woman who we all want and love - much less that would love us back."
Running her hand down my cheek, she smiled, "I understand. When I lost Winston, I thought I'd never find love again - not like that, but it's almost like he guided me to all of you."
She started to say something else, but my phone rang. She giggled as I groaned and stood up to get it off the counter. "Hello? Oh, hey Victor. Yeah, sure we can head that way now. I'll warn her," I laughed as she gave me an odd look. "Love you too," I told him and hung up. I looked down at her and sighed, "For as much as I hate to say this, we need to get dressed. Victor needs to talk with us about some stuff and he's asked a friend to help."
"Well now I'm intrigued," she smirked as she stood, letting the blanket fall. I groaned - fuck, she looked so beautiful standing there, hair a mess, no makeup, and no clothes. "So who is his friend?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah," I said as she giggled. Taking my hand, she led me to the bedroom. I put on my scrubs as she dug into her closet. "Are you familiar with RavenCore Technologies?"
She hollered from the recesses of her closet, "Yeah, I'm one of their clients. That's who does all the tech for the office and here. How do you guys know them?" She came out in a pair of faded skinny jeans and an oversized lilac blouse that hung off her shoulder. Stupid fucking phone call, I grumbled to myself.
With yet another sigh, "Well, the founders are old friends of ours. Victor and Corey used to work together actually. He and his husband, Raven, will be at the manor."
"Raven!" she squealed and started bouncing up and down. Okay, apparently she already knows them and not just as a client. "I haven't seen them in years," she said excitedly. "This is so cool that you all know each other. Will their other husbands be there? What about their wife?"
I shook my head in surprise, "Uh, I don't think so. Victor only mentioned Corey and Raven. You know Raven won't let Corey out of his sight unless the world is ending," I chuckled.
She sauntered closer and bent over, "Hmmm, sounds exactly like a few men I know." Fuck it. I grabbed her and flipped her underneath me on the bed, kissing and biting at her exposed skin. "Sean!" she squeaked, then moaned when I began to press against her core.
"Oh, don't stop, sweetheart," I groaned, continuing to grind against her and cover her skin in kisses. "I love the sound of my name on your lips." I bit down on her nipple letting her writhe beneath me before laughing darkly and pulling away. "Alas, family calls," I said as she grumbled about unfairness, starting things I didn't finish and other things I couldn't make out. As we stepped into the elevator, I slapped her on the ass, "Oh, little girl, I always finish what I start," I growled as she whimpered.
Author's Notes: Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know I said only the nine...but the Tomas are quite persistent about making an appearance in the story. No clue exactly where it's going just yet, but we'll see.
