A large plate of delectable goodness,

sits in the corner of an enchanted bakery.

with my mouth falling open and my eyes in a trance,

I take in the scene before me.

watching the thick drops of fudge

slowly dripping from the sides,

as the heavenly piece of goodness

sits under the hot sun light,

I think about taking the devilish delight,

and saving it all for myself.

but as I get closer, I realize something,

while the chocolate continues to melt.

too much fat, too much sugar,

and too many carbs for my body to take.

why do we always have to love something,

that would harm us in so many ways?

desires come in many forms,

addictive, strong, and weak,

but while the chocolate cake sat in the same corner,

I knew I had to turn around and leave.
