*Shadow's POV*
"Going home now?" Rouge asked as I stood up once the final bell rang, and I nodded. "Say hi to her for me, will you?"

"She wants you to visit." I walked beside Rouge as we walked out of the building. Vanilla passed beside us, going in the opposite direction since she had a meeting, but she smiled at us even if she was in a hurry.

"I might tomorrow. I promised Knuckles I would stay and watch his match today." We looked up when we heard Rouge being called, only to see Blaze and Rose walking towards us with the new girl in between them.

"Rouge! What do you think? Don't you think she'd be perfect?" Rose spoke up first. Sonia looked both confused and scared.

"Wait up!" Her siblings caught up to them. "Yo, what's going on? You can't just snatch our sister like that."

"Sorry." Blaze apologized to the triplets, then looked at Rouge.

Rouge walked closer to Sonia and walked around her, looking her up and down. "There's tryouts in a week." She hummed, then grabbed a piece of paper in her backpack and wrote down her phone number. "Text me if you are interested in being a cheerleader."

"Oh, so you're the captain here?" That blue idiot spoke. "Sonia used to be the captain at our old school."

"Really? Well, the captain position is filled, but we definitely need new recruits. Text me, okay?" Sonia nodded. I watched as the hedgehog got distracted and walked to the twin tailed fox to talk.

"Sure! I'll definitely be there. I'll pass you their phone numbers as well in case you need them too." Sonia grabbed her backpack and took out her phone, but before she could start typing, Scourge passed by her and bumped shoulders with her, causing her to trip.

"Hey!" The green sibling growled and started running after Scourge. Before Sonia could hit the ground, Sonic appeared beside her and caught her.

"You okay, sis?" My ear twitched. He was fast. Just like me.

"Yeah. Thanks, Sonic." She looked behind them to see Manic and Scourge fighting in the middle of the street. "Oh chaos. Sonic."

"On it." Faker dashed to his sibling and pulled him back, letting Scourge break free and start running away but only after throwing cuss words at the siblings.

"Interesting first day, isn't it?" Rouge broke the ice again with Sonia. "Your brother. He's fast."

"Yeah, Sonic is. He was in multiple sports back home. Got kicked out of most of them because of his speed. They thought it was cheating for him to use his speed in tournaments. Now he just runs for fun."

"Shadow is the same. Well, he never joined a sport because he doesn't like people, but he couldn't even if he wanted to. Looks like you've got competition now, Hun." I rolled my eyes at Rouge and then looked at the time. I was going to be late if I didn't leave now.

The only answer I gave her was a scoff before I skated off towards the elementary school. I made it just in time to see her walking towards me, happily dragging the backpack on the ground as if the bag was too heavy for her to carry.

"Shadow!" She ran to me and held my hand. I picked up her backpack and started walking with her back to Vanillas house.

"How was your first day?" I asked her. Cream was a rabbit, Vanillas only biological daughter.

Vanilla had been kind to adopt me after what happened with my previous family. Although I would still see him all the time since he was the principal in our school and Vanillas boss but since he didn't want me, he let Vanilla take me in. Principal Robotnik, he was the only family I had but he was very abusive, someone I had to keep away from.

"It went amazing! I made lots of new friends!" Cream smiled widely as she then proceeded to rant about her first day of school. "Have you eaten?" She asked me once we got to the house. She put her backpack down as I did the same.

"Not really." I confessed since I hadn't actually eaten much at school. "I'll make something right now. Vanilla isn't going to be here until later."

"Pizza!" Cream giggled as she ran towards me. "Can you get us pizza?"

I blinked and slowly nodded. "Sure. I can." I walked to my backpack and grabbed my wallet, then put it in my pocket. "Homework?"

"One." She raised her hand to show me one finger.

"Go get it done before Vanilla gets here." I grabbed my phone and ordered the pizza online. I was taken aback when she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me.

"Thank you, Shadow!" She smiled, then grabbed her backpack and ran upstairs to get her homework done. I broke a smile, then sighed and went to sit down on the couch.

Just before I put my phone down, Rouge texted me.

Rouge: Here are their phone numbers!
Rouge: And I also gave them your number.

I clenched my fists as I went through the numbers she gave me, noticing it was the triplets.

Me: Why are you giving my phone number away?

Rouge: How is Cream?

Me: Don't change the subject, Bat!

Rouge: Just thought it would be fun. They are sitting with us tomorrow for lunch. Already invited them.
Rouge: You and Blue need to get along. His first day, and you already hate him?

Me: He's annoying.

Rouge: You're just mad because he gave you a nickname

Me: Who the hell does he think he is?

Rouge: Watch it. Or I'll show these messages to Cream.

I growled lowly.

Rouge: Hun, you of all people know to give others a second chance. Remember what happened with Vanilla.

Me: Shut up, Bat.

Rouge sent me a message after that, but I turned off my phone and crossed my arms. I spaced out as I got in my head again. Flashbacks of what happened coming back into my mind. My hand started to shake as I remembered everything. I clenched my fists again, then stood up, going to my room to not let Cream see me this way.
