*Sonic's POV*
"Wh -" I tried to say something, but I was quickly interrupted.

"What is she doing here, you ask?" Eggman hummed, then smirked, messing with his mustache. "She paid me, so she can have FULL control of you. So she can have you, and thanks to you, I am able to control Shadow now." He laughed.

"What are you talking about? I did a scan on all of us. We have no -" Tails talked, but I didn't get to finish what he said because I was suddenly punched in the gut.

I gasped for air as I was launched back, letting go of Shadow in the process. I heard screams as soon as I hit the fence. There were a lot of students around us, and they started to run away when they saw what happened. I slowly opened my eyes again and looked forward this time to see... me?

No. That can't be possible.

I blinked again, trying to get my vision to focus and when it finally did. I realized I was not seeing stuff. It was me. A metallic version of me, at least.

"SONIC!" I saw Shadow, Rouge, and Tails running my way, but my metal copy quickly grabbed me and pressed his blade looking arm against my neck. They quickly froze in place.

"I wouldn't take another step if I were you." Eggman laughed, I raised my head and grabbed onto the arm, trying to pull him away, but only earning cuts in my palms, blood dripping down my arms and onto my shoes.

"Let him go!" Shadow yelled. He looked furious, he looked scared, worried.

"You really think I let you live in peace all these years for nothing, Shadow? No. I needed you to find someone, someone I could use against you. To tell you the truth, I almost used that little rabbit friend of yours, but then Sally came to me. Said you and this hedgehog were together. She offered me a pretty good deal. She gets the hedgehog and I get my weapon back." The more Eggman talked, the angrier I got.

"SHUT UP!" I spatted out, causing Metal to put pressure on my neck with his blade. I could feel a small cut forming already. "He's not -" I groaned and hissed. "He's not a weapon!"

"Let him go." Shadow growled, clenching his fists tightly. He wasn't looking at me anymore. He was scared, and I knew this would cause him to make a decision that would affect the two of us.

"Not until I get what I want." Eggman kept that stupid smile on his face. Only pissing me off even more.

"What do you want?" Shadow asked.

"Shadow, dont." Rouge tried to take a step closer to Shadow, but Eggman snapped his fingers. A cage dropped on top of Rouge and Tails, preventing then to be able to help us. This was all happening too fast, way too fast, there were still students running away, some recording at a distance. Yet no one was willing to help us. I couldn't be mad either. Not everyone was able to. But maybe... maybe someone will?

"I want full control of you." Eggman took out a type of gun, but I instantly knew it was what he used to put the device behind my ear. "I'll let your boyfriend go if you listen. Of course you won't be able to see him ever again but he will be safe. With Sally. Away from you." Shadow stayed quiet.

"Shadow! Don -" Metal turned me around and quickly punched me, using all his force, or at least I hope it was all his force because it seriously hurt. I shouted in pain, I could feel something break as I hit the ground roughly. He got on top of me and grabbed my neck, squeezing tightly. I tried to gasp for air, but every inch of my body was in so much pain. I couldn't handle it.

"Leave him alone!" Shadow shouted. "Stop!" He was looking at me, I tried to move my legs, anything, maybe kick Metal off of me, but it was to no use. I couldn't do it. I was too weak. I was still too drained. "Stop!" He shouted again as my vision started to darken. "I'll do it!"

With those words said, Metal let go of me, and he stood up, but I still couldn't move. I looked at Rouge and Tails, who were both covering their mouths, their eyes showing tears.

"No..." I tried to yell, but it barely came out as a whisper. "Don't." This seemed to get Metal angry because he kicked me.

"Be quiet, Sonic." Eggman chuckled, then walked towards Shadow with the gun. "If you even dare try anything, Sonic will die. Do you understand?"

"Yes." Shadow nodded slowly. I wanted to run to him, I wanted to kick Eggman away. I wanted to yell, I wanted to do something, but I couldn't move.

"What was that?" Eggman raised his hand up to his ear.

"Yes. Sir." Shadow said, gritting his teeth as he talked now.

"Now, that's what I like to hear." He raised the gun up to the same spot he had implanted the device on me. He moved his finger up to the trigger, and just before he could pull it, I was dragged off.

"H-Hey...!" I gasped as I was quickly lifted into the air, getting the perfect view of Mephiles raising his hand as tendrils of darkness spiraled from his fingers wrapping around Metal Sonics body, holding him firmly in place.

I watched as Amy held a giant hammer, and with the help of Knuckles, they broke the cage Rouge and Tails were in. Although in pain, i smiled, I smiled because below where I now was, were our friends, coming to our rescue.

"You didn't think we would leave you alone, did you?" Silver said with a smile.
