*Shadow's POV*
"What was that about? He's just a kid. And why are you picking fights with the new kids?" Rouge slapped my shoulder as we finally sat down to eat. Her friends filled up the rest of the table. Knuckles, Blaze, and Amy. 

"You heard anything about them?" Amy asked as she looked in their direction. "They were very vague on their presentation this morning."

"Its not like they're going to tell you their whole life story anyways. Why are you interested? I had that green one in class, and he spent it asleep. He's just like Scourge, maybe worse." The echidna spoke as he pointed at then with his drink in hand.

"There's no one as bad as Scourge. Impossible. Did any of you have them for other classes? Shadow?" Rouge spoke now.

"I had the blue one and his sister on my first class. He was talking to the fox and his sister the whole time." I pointed out with a shrug. It bothered me how annoying the blue one was. He already thought he could talk back to me. If Rouge hadn't been there, then things would have gone way different. 

"They became friends with Tails so quickly. Do you think they knew each other?" Blaze said as she stole the pink hedgehogs pudding from her tray, only to start sharing it with her.

"Maybe. I mean, Blue looks to be the most talkative. He looks like he could make friends rather easily. He's kind of cute, don't you think they are cute?" Rouge grabbed my face and made me look at the triplets.

"Why are you even looking at them, Rouge?" Knuckles clenched his fists as I moved my face away and went back to picking at my food. I stood up and threw away the tray, but I kept walking even after I heard them try to call for me.

I went around campus trying to just be by myself, but that was quickly interrupted by the new students. "Hey, your name is Shadow, right?" I looked up to see the blue hedgehog standing in front of me, his sister and brother to the sides as the fox stood behind them with Silver.

"What's going on?" I asked rather annoyed. Which I was. I wanted to be alone.

"I noticed the fight you three had at the cafeteria. I need to make sure it won't happen again. No bullying is accepted here." Silver spoke. Of course he would. He's been the class representative for years. He would, of course, try to go for that in high school.

"I told you, though, it wasn't a fight. Just mixed communications. Isn't that right, Shadz?" My ear twitched, and suddenly, my words were gone.

"What did you just call me?" I looked at him in disbelief. He took it as a joke and walked beside me, then wrapped an arm around me, resting it on my shoulder. I looked at his hand, unsure if to break it in two or simply rip it off completely. 

"We made up already, see?" The idiot spoke with a bright smile. I couldn't help but glare at him. He was pissing me off.

"Shadow! Handsome! There you are, Hun!" Rouge ran to me and grabbed my arm, then used her wing to gently push Sonic away from me. She knew me better than anyone. She must have known what I wanted to do. It's why she quickly let go of me as well. "What's going on here?"

"Rouge, keep him in check, will you?" Silver spoke to her, and she nodded.

"I will, Hun. Thank you!" Rouge waited for Silver to leave before finally speaking. "I know you are new here, so I am sure Shadow was being nice, but he is not a big fan of touch." Rouge explained, making me roll my eyes and was about to start walking away when she grabbed my arm again.

"Nice? He looked like he wanted to kill Sonic." The green one spoke.

"What?" Sonic spoke, confused. "Oh, come on. I was just trying to get us out of trouble." He laughed, irritating me.

"I'm sure he didn't mean it." Rouge tried to defend, but then she took a glance at me. "Okay. Maybe he did. But he wouldn't have done anything in front of Silver. He won't risk getting suspended or expelled from school."

"I must say, it's cute how well you know your boyfriend." The girl finally spoke.

"Boyfriend?" Rouge scoffed and shook her head. I did the same thing. "No. No. Shadow is more like my brother. You see, I've known him since I can remember." She was quick to explain.

"She's with the echidna over there." I pointed to the left where Knuckles was looking this way with narrowed eyes. As stupid as he is, at least he keeps Rouge safe and tries his hardest to keep her out of trouble. But when it came to Rouge, he would easily get jealous.

"He doesn't look so happy either. Did I do something wrong?" The blue hedgehog spoke while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh, don't mind him. He's a sweetheart, really." And as if on queue, the brown fox showed up throwing his backpack at full force to the echidna, causing Knuckles to launch himself to him.

"Uhm. You really don't have to lie about it." Sonia said as she looked our way again.

"That's just how Spike and Knuckles are. Spike is always looking for trouble, and Knuckles is the captain of the wrestling team, so he has to keep him in check."

"By beating him up?" Miles spoke up finally. He was standing behind the triplets, looking rather afraid of me.

"Tails, right? I think I had you in class last year." Rouge smiled at the fox sweetly. "I must say, it is rather amazing how you got to skip grades, but from what I've heard, you're already college level. Why don't you -" She stopped talking when she saw him shake his head.

"I could be in college. Probably already graduated by now, but I thought it would be best if I took my time. I skipped enough grades just so I won't be bored, but I would rather not grow up so fast." He relaxed now as he talked.

"So. How do you know the triplets?"

"Oh, I just met them, actually! But I found out they are the nephews and niece of my 'boss'? My friend." He corrected himself at the last part.

The bell finally rang, and I was finally able to walk away. "Hey Shadz, wait up." I turned around to see Sonic walking towards me at a fast pace. I wanted to punch him, especially after he wrapped his arm around me again. "I have the same class as you. Rouge said you could show me."

I grabbed his wrist and shoved it away from me. How annoying.

Such an annoying hedgehog.
