*Manic's POV*
We met at our house, we had spent the whole day looking for Sonic, trying to find any trace of him. But we came up empty-handed. It was starting to get dark already, and there was no sign of him. The cops seemed to not even care. They hadn't contacted us at all, I wasn't even sure they even called Sally or her family.

Shadow, Tails, Rouge, and Knuckles were in the living room with me and my family. Everyone else was in the dining room trying to figure out what to do. Scourge walked closer to me and pulled me into a hug, I hugged back, hiding my face in his chest, feeling absolutely useless.

My brother had gone missing, and there is nothing I can do. If I had just gone along with him, or maybe if I hadn't been on his phone, then maybe he would have taken his phone, and we would have been able to find him. I was scared. Scared something may have happened to him, and I couldn't stop blaming myself for it.

"Baby, your ass is buzzing." Scourge said into my ear. My ears perked up, and I took out the phone in my back pocket. It was Sonics phone, I had grabbed it when we realized Sonic had been taking a bit too long to come back.

"Its Sonics phone." I realized the call came from an unknown number and quickly answered it.

"Hello?" My legs nearly gave out.

"Sonic?! Is that you?!" I shouted a bit too loudly. The house went silent, and suddenly, everyone was looking my way.

"Manic? Yeah, bro. It's me." Sonic laughed on the other end of the line.

"Damn it, Sonic! Where the hell are you, man?! We've been dead worried about you! Everyone is here. I'm putting you on speaker." I moved the phone away from my ear and put the call on speaker so everyone could hear.

"I'm sorry. I just woke up. I'm okay." Sonic said, his voice sounding a bit annoyed now. "Leave me - hey!" It sounded as if he dropped the phone, then he picked it up.

"Where are you?" Ma asked. Sonic stuttered, then sighed and finally answered her.

"I'm... At Sally's house. But I can explain! It's not what you think!" He immediately tried to defend himself.

"What?!" Sonia and I shouted in sync, furiously. In the corner of my eyes, I saw both Shadow and Rouge rolling their eyes.

"It's seriously not what you think." Sonic sighed.

"I want you home right now, Sonic. You're hours away from home! Because you missed your ex?!" Our mother shouted. She was just as furious.

"It's not that!" Sonic shouted back. "I don't even want to be here! Sally is the one that dragged me here instead of taking me to the hospital!" I lowered my ears.

"The hospital?" Rouge asked.

"What do you mean? Are you okay?" Tails asked.

"What happened?" Chuck asked.

"Sonic, please come home so we can talk." Our mother spoke, her tone softening. "Please. I need to make sure you're okay."

"There's a problem..." Sonics' tone changed to one of concern.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I -" Sonic stopped. "I can't -" He sighed. "I can't run."

*Shadow's POV*
Rouge, and I shared a look. We both knew what this meant and no one else could understand.

"What do you mean you can't run?" Manic shouted over the phone, I stood up and snatched the phone away.

"Send me your location." I talked as calmly as I could, but I needed to get to Sonic as quick as possible. I said my phone number to him so he could write it down. A few seconds later, I got a message with Sonics location. "I'll be there in a few minutes." I passed the phone to his mother. "I'll make sure he gets here safe." Somehow, it felt rather weird talking to her.

"I am trusting you with my son." She said, and I nodded and then skated off.

It took me longer than I thought to reach the place, I had been running around all day trying to find him, or any clue that would tell us where he could be so my energy was low already. And to think that now I had to carry him back with me.

When I finally reached the place, I felt something snap inside when I saw that brat kissing him. Sonic pushed her away and raised his hands in a defensive way, then growled at her. I never thought I would ever see this hedgehog growl, ever.

"You seriously going to keep rejecting me? For him?" Sally yelled, and pointed at me, Sonic finally turned and realized I was there.

She reached for him, and he slapped her hand away, then walked to me. "Yes!" He yelled back. "Just go with it." He whispered at me, I was confused and was about to ask him what he meant when he suddenly cupped my face and pulled me down. His lips met mine in less than a second.

Chills ran down my spine, my face felt like it was suddenly on fire, and my hands felt sweaty. My ears started to burn, so I lowered them, Sonic grabbed my hands, which were up in the air, afraid of touching him, and he placed them on his hips. He pulled away right after and turned to face Sally, I was speechless, confused, and lost.

I was confused.

"Are you done now?" He shouted back at Sally. I looked up to see her suddenly start yelling out of pure anger, then stormed inside her house and slammed the door shut. Her yelling could still be heard, and suddenly, another slam came from inside the house.

Sonic sighed and turned to look at me, but I was spacing out.

Did he just kiss me?

And I let him?!

Okay so I am going to be busy for the next few days so I don't know for sure if I will be able to update or not sonI am leaving you this chapter so you guys don't kill me for the cliffhanger on the last chapter😂😅
