*Tails' POV*
"Guys." I was currently sitting down on the couch as I watched everyone else panic. The cops were at the house, trying to take a statement from Aleena and Chuck while Manic and Sonia were shouting at each other, trying to find someone to blame.

"I knew we should have gone with him!" Sonia shouted at Manic.

"Why are you blaming me? Sonic is the fastest thing alive! He would have been back in seconds, and you know it!" Manic spat back.

I stood up and walked between them. "GUYS!" I snapped, raising my voice as loud as I could, causing everyone in the house to look at me.

"What?!" Manic and Sonia both shouted as they heavily panted out of anger and fear. I didn't blame them. I was scared as well.

"What if it was his ex?" I asked. The house went silent.

"He has an ex?" Cop number 1 asked Aleena.

"He does. Her name is Sally. Sally Acorn. But they haven't been in contact since we moved here."

"That's not true, Ma. Sally showed up at the school trying to talk to Sonic, and not too long ago, he met up with her to talk. She was trying to get back with him, and he didn't want to." Sonia explained.

"This helps. We will keep you updated with what we find." The cop said, and they left soon after.

"Apparently, they had met at the park, and things didn't end well. Shadow had to help Sonic out of that situation." I said to them. "Did he not tell you?"

"No!" Manic shouted. "Asshole never tells us about things."

"Maybe because you two start fighting as soon as her name comes up." Chuck slapped Manics head.

"Hey!" Manic groaned and rubbed his head. "Do we really think Sonic may have gotten involved with Sally again?"

"You said Shadow helped him out of the situation last time? Maybe we should talk to him and see what he knows." Aleena said, and we all agreed.

We went to the school and with the help of the secretary, Shadow was called to meet up with us outside of the school. When he finally arrived, he looked concerned. Which was odd.

"I don't know anything." Shadow said as he got closer. "Why did you call me?"

"Because you were there when Sally and Sonic talked. Weren't you?" Sonia asked.

"Was there anything we should know?" I asked. Thanks to Sonic, I felt like I finally had a family. He was like a brother to me, and if anything happened to him, I would never forgive myself. I lived with Chuck now because of Sonic, I spent every day with them, and Sonic knew me like no one else did. He was my best friend. I needed my best friend back.

"I just saw he was uncomfortable, and from what I knew about his relationship with her was toxic, I got him out of there. She was trying to force him back in, but I snapped him out of it, and she was not happy." Shadow shook his head.

"So it may be his ex that is the reason Blue is not here?" Rouge landed beside Shadow. The rest of our homeroom classroom was exiting through the front doors and standing behind where we were.

"We think so. We don't know who else it could be." I sighed.

"Well, we better start looking." Spike chuckled. Everyone left their own ways. At least now we had more people looking for Sonic.

*Sonic's POV*
I don't remember much. I remember I left my house and started running but was distracted when I passed by a store and saw Sally. I stopped running and noticed she wasn't there anymore. Had I imagined it?

I remember I reached for my phone to see if I could call her but realized I had left it at home after I took it away from Manic. I glanced around, confused. If I was being honest, it wasn't the first time I thought I saw Sally.

It was starting to worry me so I walked to the store to see if she was indeed there. But I never made it inside the store. I don't remember what happened. I suddenly felt unbearable pain all over my body until I blacked out.

"Sonic! You're awake!" I looked to the side to see Sally. I recognized where I was. This was her bedroom. We weren't even in the city I lived in now?

"Sally, what the -" I sat up and glanced around. "What did you do?"

"Me? I didn't do anything! I saw you walking towards the store I was in, and then you passed out before you even reached the door." She explained. Should I even believe her?

"So you were at the store." I said lowly. "I've been seeing you around lately. I thought I was going insane."

"No. I've stuck around. Making sure that dumb hedgehog won't hurt you." She crossed her arms. "But when I saw you fall, I went to check on you, and you were already unconscious."

"So, instead of taking me to a hospital, you brought me hours away to your house?" I stood up. "What time is it?"

"You were fine, and we didn't have time to talk because that guy showed up, so I figured this would help us. Being alone." She got closer to me. "If you were seriously hurt, I would have taken you to the hospital, but you were okay."

"What time is it?" I ignored her and looked around for a clock. I finally spotted her computer and gasped. "Have I been here all night?!" I shouted. "Did you even call anyone?"

"Calm down, Sonic. It's not like I slept here with you." She waved her hands.

"Did you?" I asked, disgusted.

"Did you want me to?" She hummed.

"No! Chaos! Sally! My family must be worried!" I shouted at her.

"Oh, calm down. What else did you want me to do? Leave you there?" She rolled her eyes.

"Could have called for help. Could have called my family." I rolled my eyes and walked to the door.

"So what? So that guy that was following you could get to you?" She scoffed.

I stopped, my hand in the door knob and looked at her confused. "The guy that was following me?"
