◍26. Deceived

Author's POV

It had been a few days since the exaggerated ceremony that Park Jimin created in the celebration of Jin being his 'partner'. It was an unwanted love as we all know, so Jin's life in these few days has obviously been beyond horrid. First, his love being captured by nearly the evilest person in the universe, then him being unwantedly claimed by the person he loathed the most in his life and after-life. Jin was not fate's favourite at this moment, which is for sure.

The boy would usually be forced to spend all his time with Jimin. And Jimin being Jimin, used the same tactic of 'Do it or I'm not telling Tae to stop' over and over again. Which...unfortunately worked on Jin due to him being so desperate. Like I know a normal being wouldn't be persuaded to follow anyone on this kind of threat. But you have to remember, Jimin understood in exactly what situation Jin's mind was in and since he's the master of manipulation, he didn't even have to even try hard to make Jin do as he says. Jimin even sometimes laughed when thinking about how a smart person like Jin was following him under these dumb threats, but obviously, Jimin never complained about it. Though, all of this didn't last for too long.

Currently, the so-called 'lovely couple' were in the grand garden, sitting on one of the tables and chairs, while drinking tea as they admired the view. Yes, I know, like some fancy asses they were. -_-

For Jin, he just stared at his tea which was completely untouched. It was actually his favourite tea, butterfly pea tea. But he'd rather drink it with the love of his life than Park fucking Jimin. Looking at Jimin, it seemed like it was his favourite tea as well, due to him enjoying it so much. And it was kind of understandable why he liked it, due to the heavily blue pigment that came rushing out of the beautiful dried flowers.

Jin sighed and finally gained up the courage to ask Jimin the question that was lingering constantly in his brain. "Jimin..." He quietly said. The man hummed and turned his head towards Jin, giving out a gentle and sweet smile. "Yes, my love?" Jin sighed at his words. He really hated being called like that by him. "Did you...did you talk with Taehyung-sii yet?" His gaze still at the untouched elegant cup.

Jimin licked his bottom lip and looked away, taking another sip of his hot tea. "Well, do I have to?" A mocking smirk was plastered on his handsome face. Jin frowned and looked at him. He tilted his head, clearly frustrated by what the other was asking. "What do you mean, 'do I have to'? Yes, you do! That is nearly the only way I am sitting here with you right now!" Jin raised his voice slightly.

Jimin just chuckled darkly and put his cup on the tea plate that was placed on the white marble table. After a short and slightly intimidating pause, he continued with his words. "But I don't...want to" He kept looking ahead of him and gave out a cute little pout. Jin's eyes widened slightly due to his words. The frown on his face just got even bigger, if possible, giving him a slight pain in the forehead. "What?! You don't WANT to?! Well, you have to! YOU FUCKING PROMISED ME, YOU DAMN BASTARD!" Jin yelled out with frustration that he had built up in the past few days.

He immediately stood up and was about to punch Jimin before guards just appeared out of nowhere and pulled him back. Jin was completely exasperated, he didn't know why but it was still understandable due to all the things that were happening to him currently. And now hearing that Jimin didn't really want to stop Taehyung, just made him more enraged due to all the effort and pride he lost, also the amount of suffering he went through on the way, JUST so he could have even a slight chance of freeing Joon. NoAll of that was thrown out of the window.

Jimin was surprisingly very unbothered, as if he expected this to happen. His smirk grew into a satanic one on the last few words of Jin. He slowly turned his head towards Jin, who was still struggling loads in the arms of the guards. He stood out of his seat and went towards Jin. The distance between them was close, but enough for Jin to not be able to hit him in any way. Jimin was amused by seeing an aggressive Jin, he loved it!

He just laughed at how much he was struggling and decided to finally speak up. "Oh, my cute little, Jinnie! You are sooo innocent!

Promises are the sweetest lies, aren't they?"

Jin's soul just shattered at what he said. He stopped moving as much as before. Clear burning tears rolled down his pale and cold cheeks. Devastation filled him to its peak. He did everything, just to be...lied to. He gave up himself, thinking that he could save his Joon, but in the end, he was just used and brought into a trap. He should have expected this, because it was Park Jimin whom he brought himself too. But why...did he not. Maybe desperation really overpowered his intelligence and thinking

Fury obviously started bursting out of him again, instantaneously. "PARK. FUCKING. JIMIN!" He yelled from the top of his lungs while his aggressively wide eyes glared not only daggers but swords into the King's face. Jimin didn't even flinch an inch. "Don't raise your voice at me, love. You don't want to see the bad side of me" He commanded in a dangerous voice, which was deeper than the darkness of the night sky. Jin shuddered lightly at his words but tried his best to not seem frightened. He kept on his boldest face. "Why? Why did you do this to me?!" He bellowed with tears still brimming down his face. He just couldn't handle the betrayal which as said before, was kind of expected from someone like Park Jimin.

"Well, you know me, Jinnie. I'm a cute little villain. I do all the dirty stuff they say in the stories, like lie, betray, and hurt people. It's my speciality! And the day you came to my palace, saying that you wanted my help in getting your so-called 'love' away from that monster aka my precious best friend, I was happy yet more than furious. Like how can I let you go so you can get that shit-worth Kim fucking Namjoon? But since you were so desperate and willing to do anything to get him back, I used that to my advantage and here we are!" Jimin had a cheerful grin on his handsome face as if he was telling the love story of him and Jin.

Jin was obviously offended by how he spoke about his Hyung. How dare he say that?! "Don't you dare call him shit-worthy you pathetic rat!" He raised his voice strongly again on Jimin, forgetting his words from before. In the blink of an eye, Jimin's veiny hand pulled onto Jin's brown silky hair firmly. His eyes were pitched black and their faces were only mere inches apart.

"I told you to not raise your voice at me. But you just love being rebellious, don't you?" Jin visibly shivered this time. This is the scariest and darkest voice he heard of Jimin. The pain in his head was also not helping the situation. But despite hurting Jin, Jimin kept speaking and keeping his steel grip on Jin.

"I will spare but only this time, because you're my love. And now we need to have a long private talk to get some things straight." He looked at the guards and finally let go of Jin's hair. "Guards! Bring him to our room and make sure that he's properly restrained." Jin gulped at thinking about what the talk might bring out of Jimin. Though, whether he liked it or not, they WERE going to have a private 'talk'.

Jin was harshly pushed inside the room by the guards, making him fall to the ground on his knees. And right then, one of them snapped their fingers making invisible restraints active on Jin's ghostly body. Jin couldn't move anything, not a single body part except his neck, which is only slightly.

Jimin majestically walked inside with his unusual yet usual dark aura and slammed the door close with his magic, making Jin flinch a little bit. The restrained ghost didn't want to admit it, but...he WAS getting a little intimidated by how Jimin was acting. At the end of the day, he was Park Jimin, King of the Night. He could easily destroy Jin in less than seconds, and there's absolutely nothing Jin can do about it now that he's in Jimin's palace.

Jimin slowly walked towards Jin and kneeled down in front of him.

"I really don't like being this rough with you, but you were getting a little aggressive. So I have to keep you like this for the time being." He started gently caressing his milk cheeks, which was not appreciated by Jin, but he just let him do so or Jimin might become mad again. "I am also sorry about betraying you, it's just that, it was the best and nearly the only way to make you mine. And I was not going to let go of this opportunity at any cost because I...love you."

He gave out his small comforting smile, which Jin would have liked if it wasn't from Jimin. Though, his statement raised a question in Jin's mind. A question that he had a slight assumption of, but still wanted a brief answer to. Jin gained up the bare-minimum courage to open his mouth and let his words flow. "C-can I ask something?" He didn't know why he had to ask for Jimin's permission. Perhaps, it was the fear that was kicking in.

Jimin nodded his head with the smile still plastered on his face and patted Jin's head softly. "Go ahead, my moon." Jin sighed and started speaking again. "Why do you...love me so much? All I did was save you that day. You can't possibly just get so obsessed over me just due to that!" Jimin sighed and sat down on the ground in front of Jin and started speaking. "Jinnie, you just saving me, was the greatest thing that happened to me in my entire life. And well I fell in love with you at that moment, because it was love at first sight.

You were the only one who ever willingly helped me without thinking lowly of me." Slightly pain lingered in Jimin's eyes, but he tried his best to hide it as much as possible. Though, Jin didn't notice it due to his confusion. "What do you mean 'only one who ever helped you?' You were laying there and quickly disappearing into the hands of death! How could anyone possibly not save you?!"

A huge frown covered Jin's face. His questions were obvious. Why would anyone leave a dying man? Why would they not help him? Jimin chuckled sadly and looked down at his hands holding Jin's. "My love, you are so innocent and so...nice, that perhaps explains why you think it's not possible." Now the pain on Jimin's face and confusion on Jin's face was evident. "You see, my moon, when I was younger, all my life, people handled me as if I was a burden, a mistake."

My parents were loving, very loving I may say, but when I was 11, they were killed in front of my eyes in the fire that occurred in my village. They were the only people that thought I wasn't weird, unlike the other kids and parents. After my parents' death, I started living with my aunt, uncle, and their son. Absolutely horrible people. They were mentally and sometimes even physically abusive. Ever since I was a kid everybody hated me for reasons which I could never know of.

Though, I was fascinated by the fighter jets that flew over the sky, to the fighting destination. So I dreamt of becoming a fighter jet pilot. And with many struggles along the way. I finally made it to the military academy." Jin sighed. He just wanted to know why anyone would have left him dying, not about his life story! Though, Jin didn't stop him, because he really did want to know about Jimin's past and what might have made him into something...that he is today.

Throughout his education about the psychology and brains of criminals, Jin has learned that a person's past always affects the reasons for why they did anything wrong. So well, maybe this could reveal something. And just like that, Jimin continued. "Though, even throughout the academy years, I was harassed and assaulted by the seniors...' just for fun'!" Jimin said with a bitter voice and air quotations. "This continued until we graduated.

And when I finally become an air force pilot, I thought that most of my long-life problems will finally come to an end. But well...they didn't. I mean, they kinda did. People didn't bully me anymore, but they did make me lose faith in myself. They made me feel guilty for everything I did and told me that I was just a failure who could never help anyone by becoming a fighter for the nation.

At first, I just sucked up the filthy words they threw at me...like usual. But as days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and years. I was...breaking apart. Losing faith in not only myself...but the world as well, the whole universe actually. I asked myself every day. 'What is the meaning of this life?' 'What is the meaning of all of this pain?' I still did my job to the fullest but obviously, I was dying on the inside. Everything was killing me. All my family members left me because they didn't want me.

There was nothing I could do about it. But just suck it up, and continue the journey, which we call life. And well one day, just like I told you that day, I came back from war to our army base and we were attacked. At that point, I just ran to the forest to not get more hurt and well perhaps...to also finally die among nature's arms and its peace.

But that day, you came to save me and made me realise that...not everyone was a bad person. You were my only hope on the brink of death. After the day I finally left your care, I had one motive in life, to claim you and to conquer this shit universe. I can't exactly tell you how I finally became what I am today, but know that I spent so much of my time during life, and afterlife, finding the perfect glitch in the universe, which will be in my favour.

And then eventually make nearly everyone weak in front of me, by being the owner of the universe's most cherished things, the night, space, its moons and planets, and much much more." Jimin stood up and admired his luxurious jewellery covered hand. He always did that when he felt narcissistic or prideful. Though, Jin still didn't get it. So he was saying that because of Jin saving him, he got hope, which gave him the will to destroy the universe? Well, I guess, yeah!

From the beginning of knowing what Jimin became, Jin knew that he shouldn't have saved Jimin. He knew it was a little bit of his fault too. But the good old Kim Sang Cheol was just being the kind soul he was. He didn't know what this dying human was capable of! As seconds passed by, Jin was getting more and more anxious and frustrated. There was just something that he still couldn't find the answer to. There was something that was not satisfied in Jin's oh so curious soul.

He gulped and mumbled. "You...you were also a nice person too, Jimin. T-then...why...why choose the dark side? You were a warrior of the light side like me. Then why did you go to the dark?" Jimin stopped his action and looked at Jin. The same pain was evident in his eyes again, just like before. He sighed. "I was just like what the people called me and still call me. A monster. I was born a monster, and perhaps that's one of the reasons I went to the evil side."

Jin shook his head. For some reason, tears started filling his eyes. He didn't know what this feeling was, but he knew that Jimin wasn't a monster. I mean he was, but he definitely wasn't born a monster. Though, Jin couldn't pinpoint an exact reason for why his eyes were about to brim with the clear liquid that we call tears. "No! You were never born a monster, Jimin. Actually, no one is born a monster. It's the society that slowly turns us into the demons we are today.

We turn into monsters because the people keep pushing that trigger button of ours. And as time passes by, we have nowhere to go but the darkness, the only escape from this so-called beautiful world. But that still doesn't mean that you will let the filth take you and make you someone else. That's not an excuse you can use to say that you're not a bad person.

Though, no matter how much of a monster you think you are, you are just the weak boy on the inside, who's trying to escape the cruelty of the world by spreading more evil around and making everybody's heart's black so that they never know the feeling of being hurt like you do." The tears rolled down Jin's eyes and he sat there with his chest going up and down. Jimin was just in aw-shock by all the words that Jin said. He couldn't believe how accurate he was and how he thought of him. It both warmed and hurt his heart.

"But, as you mentioned before, that's one of the reasons you turned to the dark. Then what is your biggest reason for turning into filth?" Jin asked again. He wanted to know as much as possible. Perhaps he might end up hating him a little less, just a little.

Jimin just darkly chuckled and continued. "It's true Seokjin, I did use to be a good person too, nearly as sinless and a hero, like you. But the biggest reason why I gave up the dark for the light was that...it was just too weak, slow, and justice less. The dark on the other hand helps you properly hurt the people who destroyed you and killed you on the inside. The dark is the thing that happily allows you to be your true self. And well, I really liked it very much, so why not join hands with it."

Jimin shrugged and smirked. He knew JIn was going to get angry by his words but he couldn't care less. He was just being honest with his love. And as predicted, Jin was very pissed at his words. Jin couldn't believe that he just let the darkness absorb him freely. "Because you like it? That's not a good reason why you became like this and helped spread vicious evil in the world which resulted in innocent lives dying!" Jin said in a slightly exclaimed, shocked, and frustrated voice. But still, he hadn't fully raised his voice.

Jimin just casually spoke back. "Well, who cares about them? They are meant to die anyway. And just like you said, the society is also to be blamed for making me like this. SO I am just punishing the society in my way." Jin scoffed, he was disbelieved at his tone and thinking. "Wow, Jimin, I thought that by knowing your story and point of view, I could have at least seen why you're like this and perhaps, even helped you get out of this darkness. But no, you truly ARE a monster, Park Jimin. You are a fucking villain of this universe! A heartless beast that is just spilling his old anger!"

Jimin had to admit, he was getting more and more furious by Jin's words. Though, he had to control his anger. "But, love, because of us villains, you stupid heroes exist. If we weren't here to start our little war of the dark and light, then you heroes would've had nothing to do." The satanic smirk appeared on Jimin's face once again.

But now, the anger inside Jin built up so much that he didn't care about facing the consequences. "You damn monster! Because of you villains we are here suffering from the darkness! And there's nothing to be proud of by you existing. Because all you do is cause us more pain in our asses! Do you think that you can keep being a filthy bitch just because your damn family kept abusing you and making you lose your shitty confidence?! Remember Park fucking Jimin, you will burn in the filthy fires of hell-"

Jin got cut off and his whole body fell to the other due to the sharp and painful impact on his face, which left him with a ringing ear. Jimin's eyes were wide with anger and his chest was going up and down. He ended up slapping Jin for speaking like that. And well, the hurt man has never seen Jimin so angry, basically in his most outrageous form.

Jin was still in a state of disbelief. Tears started spilling out of his eyes again. He should have expected this, because, at the end of the day, he was dealing with a ruthless monster. Right when Jin tried turning his body and attempted to get in the same position as before with his restrained body, he was harshly kicked back down on his chest. Jin groaned in pain and looked up at Jimin in fear. "Y-y-you said...you l-loved...me. Then...w-why are you...h-h-hurting me?" He stuttered out with pain in his voice.

"Because I need to bring you back to your place you lowly bitch!" Jimin growled, his voice which was darker than the depths of the ocean. And you could tell that he was out of his mind, because just then, he started kicking Jin continuously with rage and aggression. Jin had to know the consequences of speaking to him like that.

And Jimin was willing to tell him in the most horrendous of ways possible.
