⨇22. Panic
Author's POV
Jin finally came back from searching. Again, he didn't find anything, but he didn't lose his hope, because there is one more dimension to go, and perhaps Namjoon might have gotten some useful information as well. Speaking of Namjoon, where was he? Jin tried to communicate with him through telepathy. And well, his heart dropped deep down a pit. Namjoon wasn't responding. He tried numerous times, but no luck, Namjoon was still not replying anything back.
Jin started panicking because this meant that someone blocked their communication wave, which mostly dark or powerful forces could do. Though, Jin still tried to keep his cool and think positively. Maybe Namjoon was hung up in an interesting conversation with the fairies that he didn't hear Jin's voice. It was very unlikely that what he thinks might have happened, but at this point, he was hoping for anything other than something bad happening to Namjoon.
So soon after giving up on telepathy, he decided to go to the Garden of Fairies himself. He didn't know the way but he could ask someone for help. And that's exactly what he did. Luckily, he soon arrived at his desired destination. He entered the park with a panicked face and a poor racing heart.
There were loads of fairies of various colours, just randomly flying and chit-chatting with their fellow others. As soon as Jin entered, all attention went to him and quickly murmurs and whispers started flowing through the crowd. Things like, "Oh my goodness! Isn't he the handsome ghost from the paranormal world?!" Only mutterings were heard among the flying creatures. And if you didn't know, then Jin was actually very famous among the fairies and angels due to his heavenly looks, charming personality, and heart-warming kindness. Though, Jin couldn't care less about the eyes that went on him.
He soon stopped in front of the beautiful fairy, also known as the head fairy who was feeding the fishes in the pond but at times glancing at Jin due to how stunning he looked. She tried her hardest to not keep staring at him. She soon noticed that he was in front of her as if waiting to ask a question. "What is that I can help you with, Seokjin, if I am correct?" "Yeah, that's my name. Anyways, can you please tell me if you saw a human that came here, asking some questions around?"
The fairy frowned. "You mean, Kim Namjoon, the human that just entered the paranormal world?" Jin nodded his head. The fairy looked away and pressured her brain to remember if she saw or felt a human entering the garden. Usually, fairies can detect different species around them in a certain amount of range. Jin waited expectantly for an answer. But to his dismay, the fairy shook her head. "Sorry, young man, but I haven't seen or felt that human enter this place." And that's when Jin's breath hitched, a horrified expression flashed through his face. The fairy got concerned at the sudden act. "Are you ok, there?" Jin snapped out of his thoughts and mumbled a hesitant yes before fleeing away from the garden in the terror and rush.
As he sprinted out he felt burning tears running down his ghostly cheeks, as we already know, ghosts can cry as well because they were also once some mere humans, who probably had emotions. Jin felt a pang of guilt keep on punching him in the heart. He couldn't believe that his Namjoon went missing and because of...Jin himself.
As quickly as it was possible, he teleported to the ghost world. Tears damping his face, he passed through the hologramic gates and robotic robots. He then started walking to his neighbourhood which was a little away from the entrance. And then as if it was all purposeful, the rain slowly started pouring down on his already damped face. Jin sadly chuckled at the great timing of falling droplets of water. The rain just grew stronger.
He cried as much as he could on his way. I mean, how could he not? The one person he loved, vanished into thin air. And he could only guess that a dark force took him with itself. Regret, the most painful thing in the universe, that was what he felt. He regretted that...he let go of Namjoon's hand when he shouldn't have. He regretted that he parted from Joon, making him go into the mouth of danger.
Jin weakly stood in front of a vintage yet huge house that belonged to one of his close friends, Min Yoongi. He hesitantly rang the bell and was soon met by a bald house bot. She bowed down to him. Jin just sighed in displeasement. "How can I help you, sir?" Jin was too tired to be nice so he spoke in a vague and quiet voice. "Is Yoongi at home?" "Yes, sir! Please come in!" The robot let him in because he was approved by all the security systems in Yoongi's house, due to him being the elder's friend. "Would you also like me to get you some warm towels, sir?" The robot said after noticing Jin's situation. "No, thank you."
Jin slowly made his way to the living room, where he saw the cat-looking man, sitting on the couch, with his round glasses on, and book in hand. He was too concentrated to notice who came into the room. "Who was it, Martha?" He asked in a laid back voice, still not looking up from his book which he was so focused on.
"It's me," Jin said in a grave voice." Yoongi snapped his head upwards to look at the familiar male. His eyes instantly widened. "Oh my goody goodness! What in the world has happened to you!?" Jin sighed and looked down. "Maids, please bring warm towels at this instance. Also prepare a warm shower with some clothes of mine for him!" "Hyung you really don't have to do that-" "I am not talking to you until you get freshened up!" He stated in a strict voice and Jin unwillingly did what he was told to do.
After The Shower
Jin tiredly sat down on the fluffy couch with a depressed face with Yoongi who was still looking out the window that was at a far distance, waiting for the younger to pour out words. "N-Namjoon H-Hyung..." Tears started instantly rolling down his cheeks. Yoongi turned his head towards him and put his warm hand on his back, patting him in a comforting manner. "He g-got...abducted" Jin sobbed even louder. Yoongi was in shock, he was aware of Jin's relationship and was pretty supportive. He actually even met Namjoon in person actually.
Regardless of how horrifying the news was, Yoongi didn't ask anything and just kept listening to what the other had to say. "I-I...I am the worst boyfriend that exists in this universe! I let him...g-go all alone to a certain place, just to get some answers t-to...w-where that stupid box might be!" By this point, Yoongi knew exactly what Jin was talking about. Jin told him a while ago about it. You can say that Yoongi was the closest friend that he had after Namjoon.
"No, you're not the worst boyfriend. Did Namjoon willingly try to go?" Jin nodded his head. "Did you try to stop him or ask if he was sure?" Jin nodded his head again. "Then how are you a bad boyfriend? You didn't force him to go. And I am sure that you were worried about him but made sure that he was protected and that you could reach him." Yoongi tried his hardest to make the younger not feel guilty.
"However, I still let him go all alone!" Jin cried louder. Yoongi just sighed, but then an idea popped into that brain of his. "Why don't you go to the Paranormal Security Center and ask about who took Namjoon. I am sure they would have an answer. That's the best thing you can do at this moment." Jin slowly stopped crying and looked at him. He actually kind of agreed with the elder's wise idea. "You're right, I-I should do that." He immediately wiped his tears and stood up. "I will go there right now." "Do you want me to come with you?" "Nope, I will go save my Hyung by myself" Yoongi was still slightly worried. "Do give me a call if something happens or you need help." Jin nodded his head.
At the Paranormal Security Centre
Jin sat in front of the officer still discussing the abduction of his dear boyfriend. The officer was looking through her monitor, trying to find any information that could tell how or who might have abducted Namjoon. "Sir, I think I found something." Jin's attention was instantly taken by the officer's words. She turned the screen slightly in Jin's direction so he could see what she had to show. He saw an image of Namjoon with another male who he didn't recognise. "It looks like that your loved one decided to ask for help from this man." She explained. "And do you supposedly know this man?" Jin shook his head. The lady sighed and said with a voice of remorse.
"It's the...King of The Dark, Kim Taehyung"
Jin's world instantly crashed down. He couldn't believe that the King of The Dark kidnapped his dear Hyung. But why? Jin clenched his fist tightly due to the boiling anger inside him? "Do you know a way I can save him?" "Well, I am sorry sir, I, unfortunately, don't. Although, I have heard that the King of the Night is best friends with the King of the Dark, so perhaps asking him for help can work out. But! I don't know, so if you really want help, please go to one of the departments in the registration office, they will for sure help you out."
Also the reason that Taehyung didn't get caught by any of the angels or workers around, was because he used a cloaking spell. Though, it will eventually disappear after a few hours, unabling the angels and workers to see exactly what happened through their screens and powers.
Now after the talk with the officer, Jin flew through the sky with the help of his super-fast car. He told his situation to one of the chief officers in the registration department and was told one way that he could save Namjoon. It was to go to the Dimension of Day and Night and beg the King of the Night to persuade the Kind of the Dark to let Namjoon go free. The Night king loved Jin anyways, so there was no way that he would deny his pleas. And then MAYBE Jin could bring back his Hyung. Yes, it was not a good plan, but there was no other option, absolutely none.
Jin was still very uncertain of the idea but since there was no other option of bringing back Namjoon, except for this, so Jin was ready to commit to it. But since it was a sin to go to the demons or evil kings like Park Jimin, so Jin asked if he would still be sinning by going to him. "Well, actually, no. If you tell your reasonings thoroughly and plead to not go against the laws of the Lord regardless of being with the evil ones. Then you won't be sinning. Though, you DO need to sign a document, so that you have evidence which will save your acts from not being counted as sins."
Jin sighed in relief. He did as he was asked to do. And now he was ready to teleport to the Dimension of Day and Night, just to save his Namjoon.
