I wandered my gaze all around;
Halting it now and then with a break-down,
I observed all the ladies and gentlemen
Being distinguished by the choice of their garments.
Women with long hijabs were appraised to be modest,
Labelling rest others as someone bad reputed!
Men with long beards, wearing all white and abluted,
Were honoured for being spiritually delighted;
While others with half shaved, who sweared with all the calm,
Were ridiculed with the tags like 'Walad-ul-haram'!
All these non sensual thoughts makes me realise,
Do we even deserve to be called humans all our lives?
Performing all the nawafils, while inviting people to goodness,
Lowering them, when they do not respond to your kindness?
Come 'O' dear rusted minds, let me take you to the path of light!
Best among You is the one who possess a good heart.
