Epilogue Part 1 | Cameron

"You're so nervous, I can see it all over your dumb pretty face." Lex laughs, straightening the collar of my shirt.

I bat her hand away and feel my face heat up. "Shut up. This is important." I chuckle, fixing the strands of my hair in front of my eyes. Today is important because he's important.

Our other friends shuffle around the house, putting up the final touches. Lex once again outdid herself, banding together a few of Asher's favorite people in one room to surprise him with a house party. Of course, it's not as big and extravagant as Hayden and I usually would have it back at our parent's house, but this is so much better.

A few of the boys from the football team that Asher still talks to, Lex and Aly, and of course, Hayden and I. It's intimate and perfect. Just like him.

"He's on his way," Hayden says, looking down at his phone. Hayden is finishing up setting up his mini stage in the living room, talking with a few of his new friends he made working in the studio.

He's really found where he belongs and I've never felt prouder of him.

"Of course, precious. I know how much this means to you. To you both." She says winking at me. I guess I was staring at him and didn't even notice. She looks down at Roscoe who has rolled on his stomach at her feet. Giggling she bends down to rub his stomach.

I bite my lip. We haven't told anyone about our relationship but after spending so much time hanging out with friends, certain people have begun to...suspect.

Of course, it's a little obvious when the three of us find it extremely hard to not be touching each other.

Speaking of...

I walk over to Hayden and nod to his friends, who all smile back at me before continuing their conversation.

"You ready to surprise our boy?" I smile at my brother, stuffing my hands in my front pockets.

"Of course. Why? You nervous." The edge of his mouth quirks up.

I huff. "Me? Nervous? That's unlike me." I laugh nervously, scratching the back of my neck. I look around the room at all the decorations. Is this cheesy? It feels cheesy.

"He's going to love it," Hayden says, cutting into my thoughts. I look back at him and feel a rush of relief wash over me. I look down at the rainbow pick he's chewing on in his mouth and smile.

"You think so?" I breathe, getting lost in the beauty of Hayden's mouth. He moves so confidently that it's hypnotizing. I wish I could be more like him but at the same time, I don't. It's nice admiring him for what he is.

He adjusts the guitar strap that sits on his shoulder.

"Yeah. I know I would." He shrugs nonchalantly.

My eyes narrow. "Oh, I've got plans for you for your birthday. Just you wait." I smile deviously.

Hayden's eyes flicker all over my face, looking for a lie. I bite my lip and smile.

Our birthday is months away yet Asher and I already have loads planned–

"I see headlights!" Lex whispers loudly from the couch, peaking through the blinds.

We all shuffle quickly, getting into place and turning off the lights.

The key to the door slips in and we hear Asher twist the doorknob. I look around to see Aly holding Roscoe behind our living room couch.

"Hayd? Cam? I miss my boys." He calls out. My cheeks immediately turn red. He unfortunately had to work today which gave us the perfect opportunity to stay home and surprise him. We should be home according to him. "Work was long and hard," He kicks off his shoes. "Which is exactly what I'm craving from you two–"

My heart drops and I swear, my face probably looks so pale. Lex quickly turns on the light cutting him off as everyone jumps up and shouts, "Surprise!".

My reaction is a little late due to my mini heart attack but I jump up and clap, all the same.

Asher's face pales just like mine as his eyes dart around the room to all of our friends. His eyes connect with mine and Hayden's and I can see him immediately relax.

"You...you shitheads." He breathes.

This only makes my laugh even harder. Asher drops his bag at the front door and laughs. "I can't believe you guys." He walks over to me first, wrapping his arms around me. I snuggle him close, not caring that everyone is watching. We aren't hiding. Why should we be?

"You surprised, baby?" I smile, pulling away to look at his face.

He seems breathless as he takes in all the streamers and decorations around the room. "You guys..." His eyes dart around the room until his gaze falls back on me. "I-I love it. Thank you." He exhales.

A beautiful sound comes from the other side of the room. Creating a mini-stage area in the living room, Hayden started up his acoustic guitar, strumming some beautiful notes. "Well, that's not your only surprise. Before you get some drinks in you," Hayden pipes up.

"And a quick shower," Asher adds, making the whole room chuckle.

"And a shower..." Hayden winks. "I have a little present for you." He bites his lip before looking back at his guitar strings.

I tug Asher's arm, tugging him towards the others who have now pulled up a seat on the couch and on the floor in front of Hayden.

Sitting in his chair in the middle of the room, he looks beautiful in his crewneck grey sweater and dark jeans.

I choose to sit on the floor in front of the couch and place Asher in the middle of my legs. Wrapping my arms around his torso, he leans his back against my chest.

We watch on as Hayden slips that damn rainbow guitar pick between his fingers and starts up a melody I swear I've heard before.

It takes me a few seconds before I place the song. Take A Picture by Filter. It's slower and more vulnerable in a way. It's so Hayden.

My breath catches in my throat at the sound of his voice. So raw and beautiful. Smooth to my ears like he has been singing for decades. Is that what my voice sounds like? No, he's got a talent.

I can feel Asher tense in my arms. He knows it too.

The song isn't very telling to anyone else who knows our relationship but to us, it means something. Something only we know.

I see Hayden taking moments to glance at Asher and me. Something he's never done before was let us in and now, in these past few months, I feel closer to him than ever. It's addicting and intoxicating and if I'm dreaming, I never want to wake up. This is perfect.

The song finishes and everyone erupts in clapping and cheers.

Hayden smiles down at us, and my heart nearly stops when I see the full-blown smile smeared across his face for the entire room to see.

The rest of the night is one to remember. After Asher got out of the shower (and Hayden and I slipped in quietly and not suspiciously at all to steal a few kisses from him), we spent the rest of the night joking around, sharing drinks, and playing games with our friends.

I don't think it's any surprise to anyone that Asher and I are the reigning beer pong champs. Hayden tried and failed which I think hurt his ego a little bit even if he won't admit it.

I might've whispered to him that I'll make it up to him later so I think we're good.

"So, you and him..." Lex's eyes dart behind me as she slides her purse on her arm. "...and you AND HIM?" Her eyes go wide as she truly soaks in what she's asking.

"Those are my men." I shrug confidently, gently guiding her to the door. She's the last one to leave after a great house party and the boys are already tidying up the kitchen.

It's late and all I want to do is be alone with my favorite people in this world.

"That's so hot." She blurts out. My mouth drops as we both freeze at the doorframe.

"Lex. You dirty girl, I can't believe you'd fetishize us like that." I gasp, placing my hand on my chest.

She starts to stutter, her face immediately going red. "No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean- fuck! That came out wrong. I just–"

I couldn't help but laugh. "Jeez, I'm joking. You're good." I wrap my arm around her shoulder and pull her in close. "It is really really hot," I say quietly in her ear.

"I want two boyfriends...and I want my boyfriends to be boyfriends. You're literally living my dream." She sighs loudly. "Alright. Have fun in my fantasy land." She calls out before flicking her hands behind her. I laugh and wave as I watch her skip off to her Uber down the road.

I shook my head and closed the door. Lex was a great girlfriend, but she made an even better best friend. I'm lucky to have her in my life.

Walking back into the kitchen, I see Asher sitting on top of the countertop as Hayden throws a piece of popcorn in his mouth from where he's leaning on the sink.

"Success?" I sigh, leaning my arms on the counter.

Asher swallows the food in his mouth and looks at me. Love fills his eyes and he gives me the sweetest smile which has me on the edge of bursting out in tears. I love that we can make him this happy.

"Success. It was perfect." He breathes.

I look at Hayden who winks at me with a wicked smile too.

"And you. Who fucking knew your voice was so damn sexy?" Asher grins at Hayden. "I want to hear that all the time. Always. Please." He jumps off the counter and presses his pelvis into Hayden's.

Hayden grips his waist firmly with his hands. "Whatever you want." He smiles, pressing his lips to Asher. They take a moment to kiss each other as I walk up closer to them.

"Soooo, you're happy then?" I ask, biting my thumbnail. I anxiously look between the two of them as they continue to kiss.

"Mmm, so happy." Asher smiles against Hayden's lips.

I feel my pace quickening. I'm practically jumping on my toes, I'm so excited.

"So, I guess that means you don't want your last present then." I shrug, looking down at my nail.

Asher quickly grabs a hold of my hand, bringing my focus back onto his face.

"There's more!?" His eyes widen. "Yeah, I want it. Give me my last present." He laughs, shoving me on the shoulder. Hayden laughs, gripping Asher's waist even more to stop him from coming after me.

I laugh as I dash away, running into our bedroom.

Their voices and laughter trail after me so I make quick work heading to our closet.

I rummage around behind our shared suitcases and boxes we still have to unpack until I see the hidden bag I've got stored back here.

Jackpot.

Picking up the bag, I take out the few things that I'm going to need.

"What are you guys up to?" Asher laughs, bursting into the room. Hayden and I share a look as I exit the closet. He knows exactly what's about to happen.

It's time.

"Hayd. Turn off the lights." I say.

A/N: Okay, I started writing out this epilogue and realized this is going to be a three part-er LOL. This will be...a NIGHT.  🥵
