2 - Baby's First Sip

"A toast to our baby girl finally being old enough to drink!"

Allison's mom, Claire, slurs her words as the woman was far past the point of intoxication and could barely form coherent sentences.

She's swings around her half full/half empty glass of wine, the deep red liquid sloshing around precariously within its glass containment.

"Be careful Mrs. B!" Riley says as he rushes over to stabilize the woman before she damages the cream coloured carpets.

He didn't do it out of any love or obligation to her, but because he knew that she would ruin the carpet and then turn around to blame either her husband or her daughter when she finally sobered up.

And Riley would very much prefer to avoid either of those outcomes coming to fruition.

Her husband on the other hand had proceeded to fully ignore her existence as he was focused on his daughter who was currently about to take her first step of alcohol ever.

"Now make sure to pace yourself Ally honey! Don't over do it and remember that this stuff isn't like fruit juice that you take every two hours like a child would or like your mother does."

Allison rolled her eyes at her dad and took a big swing of her glass of red wine.

And immediately began to cough up a storm.

"Holy shit! It burns!! Why!?" She cries out.

"Wait. Burns?? HOW!?" Her father responds. "I bought the mildest alcohol possible!!"

Riley snickers.

"Guess we now know who can't take their alcohol," he teases as he wraps his arms around Allison's shoulders and hugs her close to him.

Allison's dad's eyes squinted at their contact, but he remained silent.

"How does it taste babe? Do you think you'll like taking alcohol after this?" Allison asks Riley.

"What, what do you mean? Didn't he turn 21 months ago??" Allison's dad asked as Riley lifts his own glass of wine to his lips.

"I made him promise not to drink until I was also old enough and we could do it for the first time together!" Allison informs her dad. "Isn't that suuuuuper cute everyone!?"

Allison turns around to face the camera that Riley had initially setup, and was now livesteaming her whole entire 21st birthday to their audience.

Some people thought it was sad that she wasn't throwing this big extravagant party and inviting everyone she knew.

But Allison was never one to care what people thought of her, and just wanted to have a small intimate thing with the closest people around her.

Some live chats came through congratulating her and commenting on how her and Riley's relationship was adorable and everything they could ever hope for.

But-

All the rest were severely thirsting after her father.

~DILF ALERT!!!~

~Sir, I respectfully request you allow me to have your babies~

~PLEASE BREED ME DADDY!!~

~Thank God I don't have a father who looks like that, otherwise...~

Riley playfully smiled and lightly chastised the people in his comments but made a mental note at the back of his head to mute any sort of comments like that in the future.

The only person allowed to thirst after Allison's father was himself!!

"Well?"

Riley got snapped back into the present and he notices that Allison's father was looking at him expectantly.

"Let us know what your first impressions are," her father smoothly asks him, making all the nerves in his body light on fire from his words.

"Truth be told this isn't really my first time," Riley reveals, speaking more to the camera then to Allison and her father. He turns back to the two people facing him and continues, "if any of you remember when I was 7 or 8, I accidentally chugged a bottle of vodka and my mum almost had to rush me to the emergency room."

Allison's Dad bursts out laughing

"Oh God, I remember!" He cackles.

He doubles over and put the palms of his hands on his knees to stop himself from falling onto the floor.

"I'd just entered my early-20s and we'd just moved into the neighborhood! I couldn't stop laughing at the news for weeks!"

"Dad!!!" Allison cries out, hitting her father on the shoulder at laughing at the news of a child potentially dying.

The older man starts to revisit the memory and Riley couldn't help feeling a mild blush take over him.

"Well that was back then, and more than a decade and a half has passed and I'm pretty sure I can take my vodka and more right now!"

Riley then swiftly swallows down all the red wine in his hand and then reaches over for the bottle of Vodka sitting on the side table next to Claire and takes the huge gulp of that as well.

Big mistake.

Almost immediately Riley starts coughing up a storm and he feels the bottle get yanked out of his hands immediately.

"Are you insane!?" Allison just yells at him, as she fidgets around him not sure what to do and lightly pats his back.

A napkin appears out of nowhere and gently begins to clean Riley's mouth of the liquid that was spilling everywhere.

Riley looks up to see Allison's father staring down at him with a heated yet amused look.

"I guess after all these years you still can't hold down your liquor, huh?" He teased, winking down at Riley.

Riley's face almost lit up like the 4th of July and he quickly turned the other way to hide it from everyone.

"On the bright side, chat seems to be eating all this up," Allison comments as she bends over to look at the computer with the hundreds of comments flying by in a blur as all those watching were following along and laughing at Riley's stupidity.

"Let's just sing Happy Birthday before anything else happens, your mother has already passed out." Allison's father tilts his head in the direction of his wife, and sure enough the woman was passed out sprawled on the living room couch. And despite all of Riley's best efforts she had indeed spilt the wine on the carpet.

With a sigh, Riley takes a deep breath and plucks up all of his courage, shame, and dignity up off the floor and gets to his feet and puffs out his chest.

"Happy Birthday To YOOOOOOU!!!!" Riley begins to wail horribly off pitch.

"Oh God, sthap!!!" Allison giggles.

"HaPpY BiRtHdAy TO YOU!!!" Her dad follows along horribly.

"Aaaaahhh!!!!"

The little intimate celebration winded down and Riley had ended the stream, making sure that Allison's mother had made zero appearances throughout the entirety of it. As Allison preferred to keep her parents "situation" off the internet as much as possible by any means necessary.

After a little while, Claire had woken up and declared that she had a "thing with a friend" to get to and had left the house in a bit of a hurry.

No one brought up the fact that it was currently 8 p.m. in the night, and that recently Claire had begun to make a habit of not sleeping at home.

But Riley and Allison did not make any comment on the situation as they saw that despite not being happy with the current situation, Allison's father made no move to stop it from happening either.

"Okay, so everything is slowly beginning to tilt side to side for me. So I'm going off to bed early, before I make a fool of myself," Allison says as she finishes off the last of her takeout rice Birthday dinner from her favourite Chinese restaurant, and gets up to leave.

"Excuse me, things are only just starting to spin for you?" Riley says. "I've long since passed that 30 minutes ago and everything is starting to dance in different colours like I'm in the middle of a disco ball!"

"That sounds more like you're high than drunk," Allison's father comments with a hint of suspicion in his tone.

"Allison don't leave me! Let's be drunk and have a hangover together!" Riley cries out to his girlfriend as he tries to reach over and hug her back down into the couch.

"You're on your own bucko," Allison says as she reaches out her hand to smash his face away from her and shove him back onto the couch.

"Oh God, how am I going to get home!?" Riley then audibly panic through his slowly growing drunken state.

"My father is a good samaritan, he will selflessly volunteer to take you home."

"I will!?" her father cries out in surprise

"Yes you will," Allison stresses out next. "Goodnight!"

Riley pouts at her. Who knew she was a bossy drunk?

Allison's dad pushes himself up from his arm chair and comes to sit next to Riley on the couch.

Before he could even speak Riley lunges up from the couch and wraps his arm around the older man's waist and digs his face into his lower torso and thighs.

"I am in your care, Mr Babcock!" Riley squeals.

"My surname is Baker" Allison's dad tries to correct.

"What's the difference???" Riley slurs.

"My God you are drunk."

Riley turns around in his lap and looks up at him with glass doll eyes full of hope and unrequited love.

"Then how about you call me by my first name in these types of situations? Just to make it easier on you. When it's just the two of us, you can call me Connor."

Through the haze of his mind, Riley mildly sobered up as a breath caught in his throat.

"Yes Mr...uhm....y-yes Connor...."

Riley couldn't believe the words that left his lips. And somewhere in the back of his mind he was happy that he could use the excuse of being drunk to deflect from any sort of insinuation that could be inferred from the situation.

Because at the moment Riley's face was burning bright red and he made no moves to hide it as he could also just blame that on being drunk.

"Now let's get you home." Connor then says, "You literally live next door, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to get you there."

He stood up, pulling Riley after him and wrapping one of his arms around his neck as they proceeded to make their way towards the front door.

"Yes Connor, thank you."

"You're welcome, Riley."
