7-I Did Not Have a Threesome!

Chapter Seven
I Did Not Have a Threesome!

Static and I spent already four hours trying to track down Slick with no luck. We don't even have a lead, much like how no one has a lead on Static.

Static lets out a quiet sigh and leans back in my chair, dragging a hand down his face.

"How are we ever going to find him?" Static whispers.

"The only way we would be able to catch his attention would be to get into trouble and wait for him to show," I suggest, taking a handful of pretzels. "But that would be too obvious. He's clearly expecting us to do that."

"Why would it matter?" Static responds in a hushed tone "the whole point would be for him to show up. It doesn't matter if he expects it or not."

I watch as Static lets out another frustrated sigh.

"Maybe we should watch a movie instead," I suggest and he spins in my office chair to face me, where I sit on my bed. "You seem really tense. Maybe we should just relax."

Static waits a moment before nodding. "Yeah, sure. I guess it won't hurt." He gets up and I make space on my bed for him while pulling my laptop into my lap, ironically.

"What are we going to watch?" Static asks as I bring up Netflix.

I shrug. "Whatever you want," I tell him.

"Clueless," Static points at the screen and I give him a look while pressing the movie.

I plug in my earbuds and hand him one while asking him, " I didn't know you liked chick-flicks," I commented with a smile and he chuckled.

"Why? Just because I'm a guy?" He asked and shook his head, "I happen to like a lot of things, thank you very much."

I smiled and turned up the volume as the movie started.

A few minutes in, Static talks, " Grayson was and will never be worth it, you know?"

I didn't flinch at the topic of Grayson. It almost felt natural to talk about him to Static.

"I know that, but it doesn't make it hurt any less."

"I know that," Static moves closer to me and puts an arm around my back in a comforting way. " you were in a relationship, of course it's going to hurt. We just want to reassure you that we know your worth. Maybe Grayson doesn't, but we do. And we're not saying this because we pity you. We're saying this because we care."

In a way that kind of made sense. Everyone was always comforting me, and I didn't always want them to because I just thought they were pitying me. I didn't want anyone's pity.

But if that's really why they talk to me about this, and they really do care, then I guess that makes me feel a bit less lonely to know I have support.

"Thank you," I whisper and lean my head in his shoulder and he tightens his grip around me.

I close my eyes and start to relax. I'm about to fall asleep when I hear something in my room.

"Well, aren't you two getting cosy?"

My first thought is that we were talking too loud and Drew caught us, so I immediately push Static away from me and he lands on the floor with a loud thud and an 'oof' leaving his mouth.

But then I realized that if it was Drew then he wouldn't have said anything. He would have just punched Static in the face.

I whirl around to see Slick, with Static laying at his feet.

"Wow Static," Slick smirks at him, "how slick."

"Hahaha, so funny," Static spits in his face while standing up.

"What do you want?" I demand Slick, when I realize that I wasn't wearing my suit because Static already knew my identity and I didn't want to put it on. So now not only does one Supervillain know my identity, but two.

"I didn't think you were the one to be hooking up with a citizen while in your costume," Slick raises an eyebrow at Static.

Right, he doesn't know this is where I live. I mentally let out sigh of relief that he doesn't actually know who I am.

"Or should I say Gone Girl?"

I take that back.

"I prefer GG, actually," I blurt before I can stop myself and my face goes red.

Static stifles a laugh and Slick just growls. Yikes.

"I just came to say that maybe we should meet up at the docks tomorrow night and discus certain... Issues."

"What kind of issues?" Static asks.

Slick opens his mouth to reply but before he can, my door is being swung open.

Drew - or should I say Inferno - is dressed in his red spandex and mask, with red eyes and fire in hands.

He eyes the two Supers in my bedroom before chucking two balls of fire at them both.

"You're going to set the whole building on fire!" I shriek and stand up on my bed but lose balance and fall onto Static's stomach. Ouch.

"Goddamnit!" Static yells and grips his crotch. Wait, I thought I fell on his stomach? Oh well, I guess they're both hard.

Oh.

Oh.

Hold on, wait a second-

I'm pushed aside and Slick frantically jumps out the window.

I roll away from Static and then immediately regret it because my brother picks him up while he's still in pain and throws him out the window. Well damn.

We're both quiet for a second, our heavy breaths the only noise.

"What the actual fuck, Sky?" Drew looks at me and I stay quiet.

"Who were those dudes?" He asks.

"Supervillains," I say and look down at me feet.

I look back up to see Drew with wide eyes. "Sky, I know you like bad boys and all but I didn't think you'd go as far as having a threesome-"

"I did not have a threesome!" I exclaim and kick him. Why would he even ask me that?

"Look," he tries to reason, "I know threesomes are fun and all - wait, what about Grayson?"

"We broke up!" I growl and before he can answer im pushing him out my door.

He opens his mouth to say something but I slam the door in his face.

I open our apartment door to see Audrey.

"Hey Sky."

"Sorry Audrey, I can't hang out. I'm grounded," I say but let her in anyway.

"Why are you grounded?" She asks as we sit down on the couch.

"For-"

"-Having a threesome with the two of the most dangerous criminals in the city." Drew interrupts in from the kitchen.

Audrey gasps at me. "How was it?"

I shake my head at their dirty minds. "I didn't have a threesome, thank you very much."

"Why was there two Supers in your room?" Audrey narrows her eyes at me.

"Supervillains," Drew adds,  poking his head out of the kitchen to give me a pointed look.

"Fine. Why was the two Supervillains in  your room?"

I let out an aspirated sigh. "I-"

"I mean, she didn't even tell me about them!" Drew cuts me off again. "After all this time she's been keeping them a secret," he shakes his head in disapproval, taking a spot next to Audrey.

I glare at my brother. "Sorry-"

"She's probably pregnant by now!" He exclaims.

"Andrew Judith Johnson!" I kick him.

"You didn't deny it!" He shouts in my face, earning another kick.

"I shouldn't have to!" I yell back, kicking him repeatedly.

"Break it up!" Audrey kicks Drew for me this time.

"Slick's the bad guy," I decide to say, not wanting to go into depth, "He's the one behind all the stunts, not Static." I decide to leave out the part about Static being a Villain too, but technically he's not a Villain yet because he hasn't done anything bad so... (Other than blackmailing me and stuff, you know?)

"Well you could have just said that," Drew scoffs and Audrey lets out a giggle. We both turn to her.

She's clutching her stomach and shaking from her laughs. "Haha, Judith..." She manages and earns a glare from Drew.

"You suck," he growls at her and she stops laughing.

"I do not suck," she kicks him. Again. "You're just jealous because I'm not the one who swallows."

I choke on my Coke before turning to the both of them with a disgusted look.
"If you're going to have this discussion then do it in the bathroom."

They both roll their eyes.

"And by the way," I add, "you both suck. And swallow." Drew growls and I make a face.

"Do you have a sore throat or something?" I ask him, "that sounds painful. Not at all natural. Actually, maybe you should be sent to the pound.L I shake my head at the thought and turn away.

"You suck too," he pouts and I shake my head.

"No way," I shake my head, "I'm awesome."

He smiles and Ruffles my hair, to which I swat his big hand away. "You sure are."

I gleam at him. "You're the bestest brother in the room!"

"Bestest isn't a word," he points out making me scoff.

I frown too. "That's rich considering you just used it in a sentence."

He opens his mouth to say something but then closes it. "you know what? I'm not going to even bother." With that he gets up and leaves.

"God you're such a bad girl,"" Audrey nudges me and sends me a playful wink to which I roll my eyes at.

"Im just helping Static stop Slick," I reason.

"That's understandable," she says, "can I help?" I nod.

Suddenly I wonder if Static would be mad at my for telling them. If he is then oh well, I guess. Sucks to be him.

"But anyway, who names themselves Slick?" She asks.

I face palm.

"Slick, evidently," I mutter.

"Well, what I came here to tell you is that because of the whole no-bowling thing, I organized for the whole lot of us to go swimming instead," she pulls me off the couch and drags me to my room. "Thus, I shall pick out your bikini."

"I'm not wearing a bikini," I shake my head at her.

"Tut, tut, tut," she waves a finger in my face, "I already packed my bikini which matched yours. If you didn't want to wear a bikini you should have told me so I could have packed something else."

"But I didn't know we were going to go swimming," I complain.

She ignores me shoves us both in front of my closet, pulling out my baby blue bikini which matched her pink one.

"We're going swimming!" She cheers in a singsong voice.

"Who else is going?" I decide to ask her.

"Sam, Owen and Noah," she replies, still focused on my bathing suit.

"What about Dakota?" I send her a wink making her roll her eyes at me.

"I don't even have his number," she hisses at me.

"Well then soon enough we're going to get it," I assure her with a playful wink.

She's quick to change the subject. "Why don't we invite Drew?"

I fake a gag. "He's spend most of his time flirting up a storm."

"So?" Audrey shrugs. "At least we'll have more company. Plus he needs to drive us."

"I guess you have a point..." I trail, "so long as he stays far away from us."

"You tell him, he's you brother," she pushes me to the door b

I stick my head out into the hall.

"Drew? Do you want to go see some girls in bikinis?" I call.

"Sure!" I hear him tell back.

"He'll agree to anything that involves nearly naked girls," Audrey scoffs and I nod in agreement.

"Try to avoid more boys. We don't want a replay of what happened last night, do we?" I glare at Audrey who just laughs at my misfortune.
