Sophie's POV

My tribe around me has been nothing short of amazing.

Scarlett, Davis, and Kelly all took time out of their schedules to come down with us this weekend, and I couldn't be more thankful for the constant distraction. No one has left me alone to wallow, or to even try to contact Riley.

They're right when they mention I needed time to sort my head out before I did anything damaging.

The only bad part about the weekend, Riley and I planned on making Dega a family weekend. So, both of our families will be in town all weekend for race activities.

Karen of course reached out and said that they didn't have to tag along, and she completely understood if I needed distance between us. However, it was the mention that she hadn't even heard back from her son that made me keep things how they were.

Besides, his family didn't do anything to me. He did.

"So, what's the plan for the weekend?" Joey asks, sitting down next to me in front of my bus.

"Don't really have one. Families will be here soon, so I've got to figure something out" I respond.

"We can do dinner with everyone. Maybe head to some of the activities up on the Boulevard if we're back before it gets too late. Britt said she wants to do something fun tonight, and I'm sure the parents would agree with just about anything you suggested at this point" Joey tells me.

Later that evening, Karen, my mom, Brittany and I are trailing after everyone as we walk around the Boulevard. No one mentioned Riley, and I'm thankful for that. However, I knew it was only a matter of time.

"So, how are you really doing SoSo?" mom asks, looping her arm through mine.

I can see Karen focusing on the two of us, wanting to hear exactly what I have to say.

"I'm hanging in there, trying to focus on other things rather than how quickly my relationship went downhill. Luckily, I have a great group of friends, so they've been keeping my mind off of things. Scarlett took my phone as soon as she got to the house the other day so that's helped" I answer.

"You guys feeling like stopping by the concert? It started a little bit ago, but we should still have plenty of time" Joey asks, looking back at us.

"Let's do it" I respond.

As soon as we are situated behind the barriers, Ryan is at my side, an arm slung over my shoulder.

"So, do I get my favorite dancing partner back tonight?" Ryan asks, giving me a smile.

"Always" I respond.

I look towards the stage, "she looks familiar" I say, tilting my head to the side.

"I am so sorry Soph, I really didn't think this one through at all" Joey says, walking up to me.

"What are you talking about?" I ask him.

Before he could answer me, my question was answered all on its own.

Riley comes strutting out from the side of the stage, a cowboy hat sat on top of his head with his ever-present smirk on his face.

That's when it hitsme, the brunette from the pictures.

She looks in his direction, the biggest smile plastered on her face as she takes in the man walking towards her.

I can hear voices around me, but my focus is on the two people standing on the stage. Her hand resting on his arm, smiles on both of their faces as they sing. Even I can feel their chemistry from here.

A hand landing on my arm pulls my attention from the stage and to the group around me. Everyone looking at me with sympathy in their eyes.

"We can go back to the buses Soph, I brought the fire pit. We can enjoy our night" Joey tells me, blocking my view of the stage.

It's when he wipes the tear on my cheek that I realized I was crying.

"Um, it's fine. We will stay here for Karen" I tell him.

"We can go if you want to honey. I'm not too happy with him myself, so it's completely up to you if you want to stay or go" Karen tells me.

I look around Joey, to see Riley staring at the group, eyes wide as he spots his mom standing in the crowd with a glare on her face as she meets her son's gaze.

His eyes drift to mine, slight confusion and concern on his face as he spots the tears on my face.

"We're going to enjoy our night here. Once all this is over, we're going to go back to the buses, start a fire and I'm going to drink my little heart out" I say.

"I can help you out with that now" Chase says, passing me a drink.

"You're a saint" I tell him.

After Riley, and the brunette I now know as Ella get off stage, another local artist takes the stage, brightening my mood.

As I'm standing at the bar getting another drink, a voice next to me causes me to stiffen up.

"You must be Sophie" I hear.

Turning my head, I see Ella standing next to me, a smile on her face.

"That's me" I respond, grabbing my drink from the bartender.

"I'm Ella" she says.

"Oh trust me, I've learned all about you over the past few days. Didn't expect to see you here rubbing up on my boyfriend though" I respond.

"But then again, I don't know anything about my so-called boyfriend here recently since he's been too busy with you apparently" I add.

"I know a lot about you from him too, including the fact that you're constantly blowing up his phone, seems borderline toxic if you ask me. Give the man some space. However, I am sorry he's been so busy with me here recently; we've just been so wrapped up with everything else going on that he just hasn't had the time" she tells me.

"So you're just going to admit right here that you two have been sneaking around huh?" I ask her, feeling my heart thumping in my chest.

Ella shrugs her shoulders with a smirk, before smiling behind me.

"Surprise Sophie girl" I hear coming from behind me.

Turning around, I see Riley standing there, hands in his pockets and a smile on his face.

"Oh definitely a surprise. Great day to find out you've been sneaking around on me. Take this as me breaking up with you, I'm done" I tell him, before pushing past him and towards my small group.

"Can we go?" I ask Ryan.

"I'll take you back"Davis says, him, Kelly, and Scarlett surrounding me.

Riley's POV

I watch as Sophie walks away, tears streaming down her face.

"What the fuck happened?" I ask Ella.

"Riley Jamal! I am beyond disappointed in you right now. Cheating on your girlfriend. I know I taught you better than that, and to do something like that to Sophie of all people! I don't know who you are anymore" my mom says, walking towards Ella and I.

"What are you talking about mama?" I ask her.

She looks at Ella with a glare, before looking back at me. "Your little singing partner here just confirmed to your girlfriend that the rumors all over the internet about you two are true. I can't believe you would do this to her" mom responds.

"Come on Karen, Soph is going back to the busses with Davis, Kelly, and Scarlett. Joey is going to get the fire going, our girl needs us right now" Brittany says to mom, looking back towards the group waiting for the two of them.

"I'm going to come with you guys" I tell her.

"Like hell you will Riley, you've done more than enough to Sophie, do us all a favor and stay away from her. We will make sure the stuff you left at her house get's back to you" Joey tells me.

"You're lucky I'm more concerned about Sophie right now, than I am with you. We would all me having a different conversation" Ryan tells me.

I watch as the group walks away, too stunned to speak.

"You going to tell me what the fuck just happened?" I ask Ella.

Ella rubs her arm, a sheepish smile on her face.

"So listen, there's a picture of us circulating, and well along with that there's a rumor that we've been sneaking around for a while. Originally, I was going to come and clear the air with Sophie, but the way she was acting, you don't deserve that. So I might have implied that we were sleeping together" Ella admits.
