"I don't know what it is, it's like all we do is fight these days,"
Yoongi nods uninterestedly as Jeongguk continues to gripe about his relationship with Taehyung--he had shown up at his apartment on their day off.
"We're either fighting or fucking, there's no in-between anymore," Jeongguk sighs, looking over at Yoongi from where they were sitting on his couch watching tv. "Are you listening to me?"
"You got in a relationship with a client, what did you expect? Sunshine and rainbows?" Yoongi asks insensitively, keeping his eyes trained on the tv.
"I don't know what to do, hyung," Jeongguk pouts. "I love him and I want to make things work. He just won't do anything I ask him to. Every time I bring up something I'd like him to do differently he distracts me and we end up fucking. He thinks I don't notice, but I do."
"Sounds like you need to stop letting your dick make all your decisions," Yoongi says, still partially ignoring the younger.
"I try," Jeongguk sighs. "I don't want to fight, but he's deadset on proving to me that he makes his own decisions. I'm not even trying to control his life, I just don't want him talking to Namjoon. I don't think that's a lot to ask."
"Maybe they really are just friends," Yoongi says. "We're friends."
"I know but it's not the same,"
"How so?"
"It's just not."
Yoongi hums in response, picking up the remote and flipping through the channels. "Sounds like you both have issues."
"You're being no help, hyung," Jeongguk says. "Can you at least pretend to be listening?"
"I am listening," Yoongi says looking over at him. "I already told you that there's no working it out. You guys aren't good for each other, what else do you want me to say?"
"I don't understand why you feel that way," Jeongguk says. "Just because he was my client doesn't mean our relationship is hopeless."
"That's not why it's hopeless, you're why it's hopeless," Yoongi says. "Taehyung's why it's hopeless. You both need different things and neither of you are willing to comply with the other."
"What do you mean?" Jeongguk asks.
"You need constant validation, you need Taehyung to constantly remind and reassure you that you're the one he wants to be with. A day goes by without him praising you and you automatically assume he's losing feelings," Yoongi says. "Taehyung doesn't know what he wants half the time. One minute he's all over you the next he's telling you to leave him alone. He feels suffocated. You go from getting all the love and validation you need to suddenly having to beg for his affection. You can keep telling yourself it's going to work out, and that everything will be fine again, but it's just an endless loop, Gguk. An endless loop of you begging him to beg for you."
Jeongguk sits there in a stunned silence, looking off as he tries to process Yoongi's words. "Begging him to beg for me?"
"You asked me for my advice," Yoongi shugs before returning to his tv. "Don't get upset now."
Jeongguk sits back, looking at the tv with a blank expression. He didn't know how to react to Yoongi's words. A part of him knew he was right, but there was a larger part of him that didn't want to believe him.
He didn't want to believe that his relationship with Taehyung would never work. He loved him too much to ever believe that.

"I was wondering when I'd see you again,"
Jeongguk avoids Doyun's eyes as he walks into his apartment, looking around the luxurious space. Doyun always lived lavishly, even when Jeongguk first met him, so it was no surprise that his apartment was so nice.
"What do you want?" Doyun asks leading him to the living room.
"Has my dad been contacting you?" Jeongguk asks following him, standing even after Doyun sits down.
"Yoongi can't hold water when it comes to you," Doyun laughs, patting the spot next to him. "Sit with me."
"I just wanna know if you've been talking to him," Jeongguk says, not moving from where he stands.
"Yeah, I've been talking to him," Doyun shrugs. "Come here, sit down with me."
Jeongguk reluctantly takes the seat beside him, clenching his jaw tightly when he puts his arm around him. "I wanted you to tell me..." he says quietly, an anxious feeling rising in his chest.
"Why?" Doyun asks, twirling a piece of Jeongguk's hair around his finger. "Miss him?"
"No," Jeongguk says, rolling his eyes at the assumption. "I don't want him to find me, Doyun. I don't want anyone from before to find me."
"Have I ever let anything hurt you?" Doyun asks, his tone almost mocking Jeongguk. "Tell me, have I?"
"No, but~"
"'But' nothing," Doyun says nonchalantly. "Why do you always make something out of nothing?"
"You don't understand~" Jeongguk tries to say.
"Oh, I don't understand?" Doyun asks. "I've been looking out for you for how long now? Has he found you yet?"
"Has he tried to find me before?" Jeongguk asks
"Of course he's tried to find you before," Doyun says rolling his eyes. "You moved five hours away, why are you acting like you left the fucking country?"
"Why are you being mean to me?"
"Because you're an idiot,"
Jeongguk bites the inside of his jaw, looking down at his hands. "Yeah, well you're an asshole."
He feels Doyun tense next to him, his body becoming rigid. "What?"
"I'm gonna go then," Jeongguk says starting to stand, only for Doyun to pull him back down by his upper arm. "Doyun~"
"I'm an asshole?" Doyun asks, his grip on Jeongguk's arm tightening. "I take care of you, don't I?"
"Yes," Jeongguk says trying to pull his arm away. "Please, Doyun, you're hurting me."
"If I were really an asshole, your dad would've tracked you down a long time ago," Doyun says. "And where would you be?"
"I don't know," Jeongguk answers, trying to say the right thing so that he would let him go.
"You'd probably be dead," Doyun says, his voice still eerily calm. "Think about that next time you call me an asshole."
"Okay," Jeongguk says through clenched teeth before Doyun lets him go, shoving his arm away.
"And tell Yoongi that he has one more time to repeat what I say to him to you," Doyun says. "If I wanted you to know I'd tell you my fucking self."
"Okay," Jeongguk says walking out of the apartment as fast as he could. He wills the tears in his eyes away as he walks to his car. Sitting in the parking lot for a moment before starting his car and leaving.
He didn't want to go back to Taehyung's apartment, but he didn't want to be alone either. He has come to the conclusion that Taehyung was the only person he had now.
Yoongi didn't want to be bothered with him, Doyun made him feel useless, and he'd be an idiot to even think about contacting Seonho.
He was really alone.
All he could do was go back to Taehyung and hope that he wasn't drunk or in a bad mood.
