"Are you mad at me?"

Jeongguk forces himself not to roll his eyes as he lays on the bed scrolling through his phone. Taehyung was only now coming to talk? After he spent his time with Hoseok and had a few drinks?

"I don't get why you're upset," Taehyung sighs when he doesn't respond, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "You knew I had a boyfriend when you confessed your feelings, what did you think was gonna happen?"

"I'm not talking to you while you're drunk," Jeongguk says without looking away from his phone.

"I'm not drunk," Taehyung says. "I had, like, two drinks. Why are you acting like a child?"

"So I'm stupid and I act like a child," Jeongguk runs off. "And what else, Taehyung? Go ahead."

"And you're pissing me off," Taehyung says, aggravation evident in his tone and expression. "You're making something out of nothing."

"My feelings aren't nothing," Jeongguk says, finally looking away from the phone and sitting up to look at Taehyung. "I explicitly told you, multiple times, that I wouldn't be comfortable if you left Namjoon for me."

"First, don't put words in my mouth," Taehyung says. "Second, what did you think was happening? Do you think you came into my life and my relationship miraculously went to shit around the time you confessed?"

"You should've stayed with Namjoon," Jeongguk says earning an eye roll from Taehyung.

"You're an idiot," He mumbles as he stands to change.

"Stop fucking insulting me, Taehyung," Jeongguk says, his anger threatening to spill over. He was trying to remain calm but he was so pissed off.

"You can't say that I should've stayed with Namjoon, because it's not your fucking decision," Taehyung says facing him. "I chose to be with you because I felt a genuine connection with you. Something I didn't feel with Namjoon."

"There's a difference between intimacy and emotions, Taehyung," Jeongguk says. "Just because you never experienced intimacy with Namjoon doesn't mean you felt something different with me."

"You know what, as much as you talk about Namjoon maybe you should go fuck him." Taehyung says walking into the bathroom.

"You're drunk," Jeongguk says standing. "Not that that's new for you or anything."

"Fuck you, Jeongguk," Taehyung laughs. "You're being so childish."

"Childish is leaving your boyfriend for a guy you've known for a few months," Jeongguk says grabbing his backpack and throwing it over his shoulder.

"Coming from the guy who said 'I love you' after we dated for a week," Taehyung says insensitively.

"You're a horrible human being," Jeongguk says. "Your issues are beyond me."

"My issues?" Taehyung chuckles. "Right, because I'm the only one here with issues, Jeongguk."

"When you wake up tomorrow, sober and alone, don't blow up my fucking phone trying to apologize for being a dick to me,"

"I'm not apologizing, because I didn't do anything wrong,"

Jeongguk shakes his head as he turns to leave. "You're fucking crazy." He says walking out of the room and leaving the apartment.

He was pissed off, and he didn't want to go back and forth anymore. He'd rather just not be in the same place as Taehyung.

He knew one of them would eventually come to their senses and apologize.

"You look like shit,"

Jeongguk doesn't respond to Yoongi as he continues to write his notes for the day. He knew he looked like shit, he felt equally as shitty on the inside.

He hadn't talked to Taehyung in a few days and he was starting to realize that he had no intentions of reaching out to him first.

He wasn't upset about the situation anymore, he just had too much pride to call or text first after their argument.

"You've been here for three days straight now," Yoongi says leaning against the doorframe of his room. "Did something happen with Taehyung?"

"I seriously rather not talk about it to you," Jeongguk says without looking up from his notes.

"I'm the only friend you have, who else are you going to talk to?" Yoongi says walking into the room and sitting next to him on the edge of the bed. "Come on, tell me."

Jeongguk sighs, closing the notebook he was writing in. "Taehyung told me he broke up with Namjoon for me."

    "Okay?" Yoongi nods.

"After I told him not to," Jeongguk explains. "I didn't want him to abandon a relationship he's been building for over a year for me."

"So...you're upset because...?" Yoongi asks in confusion.

"Because he lied to me," Jeongguk says as if were obvious. "And he called me an idiot for being upset."

"How'd he lie?" Yoongi asks, still not fully following.

"He told me he didn't leave him for me," Jeongguk says. "Which was a lie."

"Hm," Yoongi hums. "It kinda seems obvious that was a lie, Gguk."

"Either way, he lied," Jeongguk says. "How do I know he's not going to ditch me the second he finds someone else?"

"Well, you don't know that," Yoongi says. "That's kind of where trust comes in."

"I don't know," Jeongguk shrugs. "It just doesn't make me feel good. He walked away from that relationship so easily. Especially considering everything he's been through."

"If he wants this relationship bad enough to leave Namjoon then maybe that just means he really cares about you," Yoongi says. "It doesn't have to mean anything negative."

"I don't buy it," Jeongguk says opening his notebook and returning to his notes. "When we had sex it didn't even seem like a big deal. Everything just seems off about him now."

"So what? You're over that situation now?" Yoongi asks.

"No," Jeongguk says glancing up. "I'm just waiting to see what happens."

"It sounds like you're upset over something everyone already knew," Yoongi says standing to leave. "I doubt he's going to call to apologize for something even I knew he did. Come on, Gguk, be realistic."

"Are my feelings not valid?" Jeongguk asks looking at Yoongi in disbelief.

"Of course they are, it's just not fair for you to be upset," Yoongi says facing him. "What did you want him to do? Stay with Namjoon? How would that benefit you in anyway?"

"I wouldn't feel like a horrible person," Jeongguk says. "I think I'm being reasonable."

"Well you aren't," Yoongi shrugs. "You can't be upset at Taehyung because you feel fucked up morally. The entire situation is morally fucked up."

Jeongguk falls silent as he considers Yoongi's words. "So you think I should apologize?"

"No, I think you both should just agree to move on and leave Namjoon in the past," Yoongi says turning to leave. "I'm leaving, I'll lock up."

"I'm leaving too, wait for me," Jeongguk says standing to put his shoes on.

"Hurry up," Yoongi says leaving the room to get his things.

Jeongguk thinks about Yoongi's reasoning behind his argument with Taehyung the entire way over to the cafe—where he knew Taehyung was currently.

He tries to understand Taehyung's perspective but it's hard to overlook his own feelings. Despite the internal battle of letting it go, he convinces himself that it's not worth holding a grudge anymore.

He would rather spend his time with Taehyung instead of replaying their argument in his head twenty times a day.

When he gets to the shop Taehyung is at the front counter with Seokjin and Hoseok—Hoseok standing as far as reasonably possible as he focuses on cleaning up the drink station.

"I think you have a visitor, Tae," Seokjin says when he sees Jeongguk.

Taehyung looks over, his eyes meeting Jeongguk's for a second before he looks away.

"Hobi, take the register," Seokjin says looking down at the clipboard in his hands.

"Taehyung, I'm busy right now," Hoseok says taking the trash to the back.

Seokjin doesn't react, waving Taehyung to go anyway. "He'll be back."

"I'll only be a second," Taehyung says walking from behind the counter. "What?" He asks when he meets Jeongguk by the entrance.

"Can we talk?" Jeongguk asks, biting back the annoyance he feels at Taehyung's immediate attitude.

"I'm working, Jeongguk," Taehyung says as if it weren't obvious. "I don't want to argue right now."

"Good, because neither do I," Jeongguk says. "Seokjin said it was alright."

"Fine," Taehyung sighs, obviously reluctant to be having this conversation. He leads them outside, stopping a few feet away from the front door. "What is it?"

"I want to drop this argument," Jeongguk says putting his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "It's not doing us any good staying mad at each other for this long."

"I'm not mad," Taehyung shrugs, his tone saying otherwise. "I'm aggravated, but I'm not mad."

"Well, I'm mad and aggravated," Jeongguk says. "But I'm not okay with not seeing you for three days. I've been thinking about you nonstop."

    "Why didn't you call?"

    "Why didn't you?"

Taehyung shrugs, looking out at the parking lot and crossing his arms. "Look," he sighs, looking down at his shoes. "I know I said some hurtful things, and I'm sorry. I was just upset that you kept bringing up Namjoon."

"It's okay," Jeongguk says. "I know I was being unreasonable. It's not my place to make decisions for you regarding your relationship."

"I don't want you to think I'm shallow because I left Namjoon for you," Taehyung says, voicing Jeongguk's concern perfectly. "I left him because I feel something between us, and it's not just intimacy. Our relationship is more than that, I know it is."

"Can we move on?" Jeongguk asks. "I promise not to bring it up again."

"Okay," Taehyung says, a weight immediately lifting from his shoulders. "Can we be good again?"

"Yes," Jeongguk says, a small smile brightening his features. "I'll be good."

"You better be," Taehyung chuckles, uncrossing his arms. "Come on, give me a hug."

Jeongguk steps into his embrace, wrapping his arms securely around his waist. "This was kind of our first fight, y'know? That's a big deal."

"Shut up," Taehyung laughs, kissing Jeongguk's cheek before pulling away from the hug. "I have to get back. But I expect you home tonight."

"Okay, I'll be there," Jeongguk smiles. "I love you."

"I love you too," Taehyung pouts, pecking Jeongguk on the lips quickly before heading back inside of the shop.

Jeongguk felt like he was letting go a huge burden as he leaves the coffee shop. He was glad they were able to move on and leave this argument right where it belonged, in the past.

It was more stressful being upset than it was to just move on.
