Taehyung wipes his hands on his pants after waving Namjoon over to the table he was sitting at in the café. It was the only place that he felt comfortable enough to break things off with Namjoon.
After a few days of thinking, he came to the conclusion that it was for the best. He didn't know what his feelings were for Jeongguk, and as long as he was with Namjoon he'd never be able to explore those feelings.
He also didn't like the feeling he got when he pictured Namjoon showing up at Jeongguk's job and telling him to back off. It made him feel like he was being claimed-- like he was Namjoon's property. And he hated that.
"I was surprised when you texted," Namjoon says sitting down across from him. "I figured I was going to have to apologize before hearing from you."
"Are you going to apologize?" Taehyung asks looking at him.
"I don't think I did anything wrong," He shrugs. "The only thing I'm sorry about is agreeing to the surrogacy in the first place. I thought I could handle it."
"Jeongguk told me what you did," Taehyung says tilting his head. "Care to explain what that was about?"
"I just wanted to know what his deal was," Namjoon says. "And I caught his vibe right away. He's so shallow, I couldn't not notice."
"You had no right to do that, Namjoon," Taehyung says shaking his head. "You invaded my privacy by going to him."
"He didn't tell me anything," Namjoon says. "But he likes you, Taehyung, I can tell by the look in his eyes."
"Okay, Jeongguk likes me," Taehyung shrugs. "And I'm a lost puppy desperate for affection, right?"
"I didn't mean it as an insult~"
"Well, it felt like one," Taehyung says, his expression hurt. "We've been together for almost two years now. Do you really think I'm only with you because I want you to fix me?"
"I never said that, Taehyung," Namjoon says. "You're taking everything the wrong way right now. I confronted Jeongguk because I love you, and I needed to see if I trusted him."
"If you were going to confront anyone you should confront me," Taehyung says. "You should trust me. Trusting Jeongguk has nothing to do with our relationship."
"Why does it even matter?" Namjoon says looking off with a disinterested expression. "I said it was fine if you gave the surrogacy a chance, you gave it a chance. It's obviously not working for either of us, so I think it's best if you quit."
"What if that's not what I want, Namjoon?"
"Then I don't know what to tell you. It makes me uncomfortable, and I want it to end."
Taehyung looks down at his hands biting the inside of his mouth as he thinks for a moment. "I think we should take a break, Namjoon." He says plainly. He didn't want to avoid it any longer. There was no easy way to put it, they needed space for a while.
"What?" Namjoon says, narrowing his eyes slightly in confusion.
"This isn't working for me," Taehyung says looking up at him. "I don't like how you're making me feel, Namjoon."
"How am I making you feel?"
"Like you're trying to control me."
Namjoon looks off, scoffing incredulously before looking at Taehyung again. "Am I being controlling by not wanting to watch some other guy steal my boyfriend?"
"You're being a major asshole, Namjoon," Taehyung says, anger forming behind his eyes as he continues. "You've never acted like this before, what's your problem?"
"You know what my problem is, Taehyung," Namjoon says. "I don't want you around Jeongguk~"
"Well you have no control over that," Taehyung snaps. "I don't want to see you anymore, we're through. Okay?"
"Why, Taehyung?" Namjoon asks narrowing his eyes. "Because you want to keep screwing your therapist?"
"No, because I don't even recognize you right now," Taehyung says lowering his voice to keep from yelling. "You haven't called me once, or checked on me once in the last few days. Do you have any idea what's going on in my life right now?"
"I'm sorry I didn't come running, Taehyung, I was having a pretty rough week too, did you call me?" Namjoon asks sarcastically. "No, of course you didn't. Because you're too self-centered to think about anyone but yourself. You need to wake up and realize the world doesn't revolve around you."
"You're such a dick," Taehyung says looking down to hide the tears in his eyes. He looks out of the window and notices a small crowd of reporters forming. "I have to go," he says grabbing his phone and keys.
He doesn't wait for Namjoon to respond, he doesn't really expect him to. He walks out of the cafe, ignoring the reporters that follow him to his car. He manages to get out of the parking lot without too much trouble before heading back to his apartment.
God, he needed a drink.

"Care to explain yourself?"
"What do mean?"
Jeongguk swallows hard as he stands in front of Jimin, clasping his hands to keep them from shaking as he meets his hard eyes.
"Are we playing dumb now, Jeongguk?" Jimin asks, an impatient tone in his voice. He uncrosses his legs, gesturing to the ground. "Get down."
"J-Jimin~"
"Down, Gguk. Don't make me say it again."
Jeongguk glances to the side before kneeling in front of Jimin, his hands resting on his thighs as he sits back against his heels.
"Good boy," Jimin says, sighing softly. "You are a good boy, Jeongguk. One of the best."
"Thank you, Jimin," Jeongguk replies, clenching his jaw as he directs his gaze downwards.
"What would Doyun say if he knew you surrendered one of your highest paying clients due to your own personal issues?" Jimin asks, leaning forward in his seat until his elbows rest on his knees. "What do you think he would do?"
"I'm sorry," Jeongguk says forcing himself to meet his eyes. "I-I had to, I couldn't treat Taehyung properly."
"Why?" Jimin asks, his eyebrow twitching in question. "Are you not qualified enough?"
"No, I-I am~"
"No? Because we can get that cleared up real quickly, y'know?" Jimin asks, pouting mockingly at Jeongguk. "Doyun would be happy to have you back for another round of training. You know that. Don't you, Jeongguk?"
"I don't want to go back, Jimin, please," Jeongguk says bowing his head, closing his eyes in desperation. "I'm sorry, please, don't make me go back~"
"Oh shut the fuck up," Jimin says in annoyance. "What is it, Jeongguk? Tell me, why couldn't you finish this job?"
"Because..."
"Because?"
Jeongguk sighs, keeping his head bowed as he continues. "I h-have feelings for Kim Taehyung."
"You have feelings?" Jimin asks, laughing at his words. "Who gives a fuck?"
"I do, Jimin," Jeongguk says looking up through his lashes.
"Doyun didn't train you to be so selfish, did he?" Jimin asks. "Since when does liking someone mean you can terminate a contract without speaking with me?"
"I don't know~"
"Don't tell me you don't fucking know,"
Jeongguk shakes his head, he didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry, Jimin."
"Next time you terminate a contract without speaking to me first I'll have to tell Doyun," Jimin says, reaching out and grabbing Jeongguk by the front of his hair, forcing him to look up. "I really don't want to do that to you, Jeongguk. Especially since you've been working so hard. Do you understand?"
Jeongguk clenches his jaw as Jimin uses his hair to make him nod his head.
"Good boy," Jimin says releasing his hair and cupping his face gently. "This won't happen again, will it, gorgeous?"
"No, Jimin," Jeongguk says. "I swear."
"Good," Jimin sighs, sitting back in his seat and crossing his legs. "You can go. Doyun won't hear of any of this."
"Thank you, Jimin," Jeongguk says scrambling to his feet. "It won't happen again. I promise."
Jimin smiles softly, lifting his hand in a halfhearted wave before Jeongguk rushes out of the room.
