"Leyna, are you ok?" Friedrich pounded on the door.

I had been up for hours contemplating the mess I had gotten myself into already.

"Fredrich," I opened the door, my eyes filling with tears. "I- I can't be with you."

"Why not?"

"They want me to be married to Eckbert and I have so many responsibilities and-"

"Can I kiss you?"

"What?"

"You are so beautiful and you make me want to kiss you, so can I?"

"I guess but-" I was cut off by him gently pressing his lips into mine. He tasted like strawberries and summers day. I grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him deeper into the kiss on instinct. He slid his arm behind my back as my knees went weak. I was losing air, but I felt like I hadn't lived before this moment. He walked me to my bed and laid me out and then laid on top of me, not breaking the kiss. I knew in the back of my head that both the balcony door and my room door were open and that I shouldn't be doing this, but I didn't care.

Fredrich finally broke the kiss. "I'm sorry. If you want me to stay away I can -I-I didn't mean to intrude." He stammered, running from the room before I could say anything.

"So, cheating is a princess thing?" I heard from the corner.

"Colbin!"

"You let him kiss you?"

"It was an accident but-"

"An accident that could get you hanged!"

"Don't some queens have lovers though!"

"Not while they are unmarried! Besides, I thought I was your lover?" he sat on the bed next to me.

"Fredrich is just a friend"

"Oh, so that's what people who are just friends do? Then show me what I get?"

I pushed him down onto my bed and pressed him into the bed with a harder kiss than the one that I actually enjoyed.
