Cutscene 3: Atura POV
"Sooo..." Aquaen said, twiddling her thumbs. "We have more people, uhm, on Exor's side, so there's that..."
Ignius sat opposite her, black nail polish in front of him, carefully painting his nails. "Anyone seen my flame stickers?"
I spat out my tea, choking on my drink. "You're so real for that." I threw him the stickers he'd left at my house last time we had a gossip. "You stole my vine ones."
"Oh, yeah!" He giggled, handing me my nail stickers. I started painting my own nails in the same black nail polish.
"IF we could focus-" Aeor inhaled deeply. "We could get more done in this meeting."
"Wait these are for us to get stuff done?" Ignius laughed, painting a clear top coat onto his nails. "I thought this was for the memes."
I chuckled, pressing my stickers onto my nails and snipping the excess off. "Ignius, you exist for the memes."
"So, Exor has another person on his side, and Ignius and Atura have matching nails, good to know." Aquaen resisted a chuckle.
"OK, so what do we do, how do we save the world. Who can save us?" Ignius asked, still painting his nails.
"Catt-"
I whipped my head around, staring at the person limping through the doorway of the meeting room. Her long brown hair, streaked with red, was matted with blood. Her eyes seemed dark. She wiped blood from her nose, a small smile carving her face. "Hi-"
Aeor rose to his feet, walking over to the Goddess of War. "Six thousand years you've been missing, and yet you come back when the war does... why?"
"I go where the war is, Aeor, you of all people should know this." She said, walking forwards and wincing slightly. She sat down in the only empty chair, Esterlla's. She's down there, but nobody else knows that, so to them, they're just dead.
"I thought you were dead, I thought Exor killed you." Aeor said, sitting in his own seat.
"I'm alive. I know I am, I've seen evidence of Azari also-"
"Azari? God of Dreams? Abyss' alive???" I piped up, confused. They'd vanished after the Fall of Earthasia, nobody had seen it in years.
"Yeah, they've got a Champion."
A tinkling of china. Aquaen's tea spilled over the table, the messy brown liquid not even being bothered about. A Champion. A real life champion? Azari has a Champion?
"I mean, they were always her second in command." Aeor said, glancing behind Catt at the chair she was sat in, the planet and rings like a crown around the seated's head.
Estrella.
"If you're gonna talk about Estrella don't talk about her like they're a traitor, ok?" Ignius said with venom in his voice and anger in his eyes. He and Estrella had both been close, being the black sheep of both their families, never really fitting in.
"So, you're alive and so is Azari?" Aquaen jumped in before Aeor and Ignius started a fight again.
Catt nodded, tucking a red streak behind her ear. "I've reason to believe Stateri and Gambit have fled after they got wind of Exor's champion, who fights like a bitch by the way-" She shuddered, gesturing to the small scratches all over their arms and the rips in her clothes- "being active. Some unpaid debt on Gambit's part, and Stateri doesn't like conflict. Otherwise, no sign of anyone else. Not even Sylvestr..."
There was a sadness in her voice. She and Sylvestr had been dating, everyone knew it, wasn't a well kept secret, despite the god of secrets being in the relationship. The sadness soon turned to anger as Aeor dropped a bombshell.
"Oh, they're in the dungeon."
Catt shot to her feet, so did Aeor in defence. They stared at each other like the good old days, with hatred and disgust in both their eyes. Estrella and Catt both held Aeor and Exor in contempt. Sylvestr and Astralos were... a different story... one for a other day.
"In the dungeon??" Catt screamed, the look of war in her eyes.
"They're a traitor! They learned from Exor! Of course we contained them! They know dark magic! They're a monster!"
"They're only a monster because you made them one, Aeor." I pointed out, shrugging.
"Let them out or it won't just be Exor you're fighting."
Normally, that would be a good laugh, but when the God of War threatens to go to war with you, you know she's gonna hold you to it.
And so, Aeor caved. The lovers reunited, and it was all happy. Right?
WRONG!
For trouble was brewing in the Land Beyond, trouble we couldn't see.
Trouble we could never have forseen.
(I'm tired and I needed to upload, fuck off, I know its rushed TwT /lh /pos)
