9. M A G I C b*tch!!!
(PEARL HOW MANY CHAPTERS IN ONE DAY SLOW DOWN LOVE -Lizzie) (Spoiler alert, I didn't slow down)
(This chapter will jump from POV to POV more than that one Olympic pole vaulter trying to Get the world record)
Aalto POV
I leaned against the castle wall, looking out over the splashing waters. Fish swam lazily in schools just below the surface. I smiled, crouching down and placing a single finger on the surface of the water.
The subsequent ripple gained in momentum faster than is should. Huge waves curved upwards, creating a sort of tunnel large enough for any human to walk through. I stood up, tentatively taking a step.
Although the water flowed over my foot, I stayed above it. Smiling, I took another step. Then another. Then another. Soon enough, I was walking through the tunnel of water, gazing at the happy little fish swimming around me.
I reached behind me, grabbing the pearl staff that Aquaen gave me and pointing it at the floor of the ocean. I slowly descended, the water level doing the same.
Pointing the silver pearl (omg I realised that's me) at the end forwards, concentrating on parting the sea. Breathing calmly, I commanded the seas, parting the tide and creating walls higher than I've ever done before.
Opening my eyes, I saw the fruits of my labour, smiling widely, I walked on the bottom of the ocean. A small fish hadn't managed to get into the water in time and was flopping on the floor.
I picked it up, laying it back into the ocean. It swam away, returning a few minutes later with its family and waving its tiny fin at me.

Aeron POV
"Bitch." I said, glaring at the sapling who wasn't growing when I've been trying to get it to cooperate for the last 3 hours.
"Champ, calm down." Atura said. She'd been visiting me recently to try and help me hone my skills.
She's been showing me what to do, but she never actually listened when I told her that I can't do it.
"Look, Aeron, breathe." She said, holding my shaking hands in her own. "You're doing so well. I'm proud of you."
"But I haven't done anything yet-" I started, but she cut me off.
"Shh, you have! You've tried your best." She smiled.
"Trying my best isn't doing anything!" I cry, shrugging my shoulders. "Its not leading to anything productive being done! I have nothing to be proud of."
I felt my throat fill with tears, vision clouding over a bit with the overwhelming feeling of inadequacy.
Aturas hand moved to my shoulder, causing me to look up at here. "You're here, aren't you? You've woken up this morning and come out here to practice. You've eaten food, drank water, you've gotten up off your bed. You may not feel that they're things to be proud of, but they're the things that make me most proud of you. Now, pick up your crown, my queen, and try again."
I smiled, wiping my eyes and carefully putting the golden circlet on my head again. My heart felt a little lighter as I focused on the small seedling.
Breathing calmly, I closed my eyes, concentrating on the little plant and nothing else, nothing else existed, just me, the plant, and the earth connecting us.
I felt something shift, and when I opened my eyes a small rose had grown. I picked it, smiling at Atura.
"Thank you." I said, before going off to give Caspian the flower

Darcy POV
The fire I had just made crackled heartily in the grate, waving at me as I sat, cross-legged, looking at the crackling flame.
"You know." My favourite, obviously gay, idiot with a man bun said, sitting down next to me. "You can do more with your power."
I raise my eyebrow, looking at Ignius. We'd become friends now, and he's even let me braid his hair multiple times.
One one such occasion, he had sat down for me to do it and I had asked him why all gods always had long hair.
"The length of your hair shows your power. Gods with long long hair like ours are normally the leaders. Aeor has the longest currently, but someone else had it longer before him."
"Huh, cool!" I had said, weaving his medium brown locks into a beautiful plait, then swirling it up into an intricate bun.
"Where did you learn to braid hair?" He has asked, turning around to face me.
"Ah, machinery is really tricky so I practiced keeping my hands steady by braiding Aero's hair because its just that long, so I picked it up."
Now, he was looking at me with a twinkle in his eyes that only meant trouble.
"You do realise you can blow shit up?"
OH FUCK YEAH!!!

Ari POV
I took the Rune Blade in hand, but a pale hand stopped me raising it.
"Ari, no. You don't need to rely on weapons. Try your magic." He smiled, carefully taking the blade out of my hands and pointing to the target at the end of the room. "Draw the Rune, enclose it in a circle, then shoot it at that wall."
I nodded, drawing the Rune for light, encircling it, then pushing it forwards with the palm of my hand. I didn't know it then, but apparently when I use light magic my eyes glow a bright white.
Honestly that just sounds like an excuse I would make for if I was low on iron.
The light collided with the wall, the subsequent explosion knocking me and Aeor off our feet, throwing us backwards and slamming us into the wall behind.
I felt a trickle of blood run down from my nose from the impact. Bits of debris flew at us and we ducked, not before Aeor got hit by a flying rubber duck.
"Note to self. Never use Light indoors." I chuckled.

??? POV
I walked through the forest. Word of my brothers awakening from their boredom had started to travel. I knew they'd get themselves into trouble, especially after what happened last time Exor got in too deep.
The small scar under my ear itched a bit at the thought of Exor regaining full power. Well, he couldn't. Not while I'm around.
As long as some balance is held, Aeor and Exor cannot truly be at each others throats. Me and Atura were normally the ones who kept the balance.
I had already told her that I was alive and well, and asked her not to tell anyone. She hasn't, luckily. It's a shame I couldn't have told Iggy, he was cool, that one.
The breaking of a branch made me jump, hand going to the wand by my side.
"Who are you?" Came a voice. Out stepped a person with wavy brown hair. Tanned skin didn't hide the obvious scar, possibly from a bit of flying debris looking at the shape of it. Bright blue eyes narrowed at me.
"Who are you?" I asked, leaning against a tree.
"I, bitch, am King Hyperion of Mythland, and you're on... Gilded Helianthian territory but Aeron's my friend so-!" It seemed his train of thought had been lost a bit. "Now answer the question."
I smiled at him. "I'm Indigo. Indigo of the Woods."
