Also any similarities between my Exor design and Rainyjoi2009 's designs are purely coincidental, burns are legit the best way to add lore imo, I'm sorry it was so similar man, I've changed it now.

I swung my legs idly, the cool breeze brushing against my hair and making my skirt ripple in the air off the ledge. The newest cloud island had just been completed, and I decided to sit and take a break for a moment, enjoy the splendid view from the heights of Werrenville.
The wind whistled below me, bringing in the nighttime sea mist. From my vantage point, I saw a group of two, more like a pair to be honest, however they were on horseback so I counted them as a four, headed west, towards the desert and Mythland.
They crossed over the Rivendalian border, looking up as the sum started to set. One, the one with purple hair, pulled out their communicator. It was only a small spec from up here, but it was obviously their communicator.
Mine buzzed, possibly a message to the 13 of us as a group.
Tsuki: @Ari, can me and Darcy camp out here for the night? We're just on the border :3
Ari: Ofc! I'll bring you out some things! I love guests ^-^
I put it back in my pocket. After half an hour, I knew I was the only one awake now. Everyone else had set a curfew due to the phantoms. I quite liked them, they just chilled around me a bit and have really warmed up to me.
But tonight was quiet. Even the wind had stopped its usual whistles, everything seemed to be holding its breath. Whether it was in fear or anticipation I don't know.
Or I didn't, until a freezing hand lay itself on my shoulder, claws digging into it.
"You needn't be afraid, young one. I'm only here to help."
The persons voice sent chills down my spine. Despite this, I breathed calmly, pushing the shake out of my words.
"Who are you." My voice was blunt, regal, yet not scared. I tried to show that I was the one in power here. That I held some semblance of control, even though I didn't, and I know I didn't.
"I'm someone who just wants to make a deal." I heard their voice in my ear, breath tickling it.
I stood up, turning around to get a better look at the crazy person who was stalking me.
They had long black hair, so black it was the absence of light, to be honest, a bit like a void. A burn scar covered the bottom bit of their face, from the bottom of their black lips to the bottom of their neck. Although, it didn't look like a burn scar, as purple veins seemed to crawl out from it, stretching up, cutting through their lip and leaving an indigo streak in their pristine black stained lips. Red marks, like scars, but they looked more like paint, curled twice over the top, twice over the bottom of their glowing red eye.
"You didn't answer my question." I thought I was tall, standing at 5'9, but this person towered over me, 6', maybe 6'1.
(Writers note: Yes gods are tall, but nobody is taller than my child Aeron, I love how tall she is)
The person sighed, slight smirk dropping and eyes rolling. "My names Exor. I'm the god of darkness and death, and I want to make a deal with you."
I scoffed turning away. "Yeah, right. How much you on?"
I could hear the head tilt and eyebrow raise, even though my back was turned.
"I just want to help you, you see." Exor followed me as I crossed the bridge, the thin oak planks creaking under the weight of two people. "I could give you everything you want and more. You're a valuable piece in the fight against evil."
Evil... "Who is this evil?" I hummed, glancing backwards as I walked to the power source in the centre of Werrenville.
"The other gods have chosen champions. Aeron of Gilded Helianthia. Ari of Rivendale. Aalto of Oceana. Darcy of Grimlands."
(Writers note 2: (damn got a lot of notes today ngl) The Cod Empire is called Codsaal and the ocean empire is called Oceana because I wanted to give them actual names in this)
I glanced down at the flickering torchlight of where Darcy and Tsuki set up camp. The knowledge that something evil was down there chilled me to the bone.
"And say I accept you... say I... make a deal... what do I get in return." I turned away from the torchlight below, my stomach turning as I looked back to Exor.
They smiled down at me, laying a hand, comforting yet cold, on my shoulder. "All you wish. Power. Control..." They looked at the floating islands that made up Werrenville, then back to me, looking just past my back. "Wings."
I thought about it. It would make life a lot easier, to fly around and get up to my empire, it would also save my legs the thousands of steps.
"...deal." I said, stretching out my hand for them to take. They tood it, smirking darkly.
A rush of power, cold, then a sense of purpose. Something I hadn't felt in a while.
Exor had vanished, a pulse of red magic shooting out as they did so, disturbing the land.
I looked over at the cloudy white power source, caressing it gently. As soon as my fingers touched the surface, it turned a deep, blood red.
The tips of my fingers blackened as I used the magic. It felt good, powerful.
Aeron: Somethings wrong
Aeron: Did anyone see that red aurora just now?
Ari: Yeah, woke me up. Ya think that's what we were called for?
Hyperion: I dunno but I wanna punt it >:]
Aeron: HYPERION NO
Darcy: HYPERION YES
They're scared already.
Beautiful.
