The blonde watched this man in awe as he held his hand out for her to take.
     He chuckled as he snapped his fingers in her face causing her to jump out of her fantasy and blush in embarrassment. She grabbed his hand and shivered slightly as electricity coursed through her veins from this single touch. She felt weak in her knees as she struggled to stand up.

"Hi there", he said huskily before flashing her his charming grin. She felt as if her heart burst into million tiny parts as this man's charm and voice made her swoon beyond belief.
"H-hi", she said nervously and his palms began to sweat and his heart began to race uncontrollably. Watching her nervous movements he began to sweat.

He sucked in a breath of air as he stuck his hand out once more,"The name's Dragneel. Natsu Dragnee--".
He quickly stopped talking hoping the mysterious beauty wasn't an annoying fan girl who somehow found his secret thinking place.
She gladly took his hand in hers almost yelping at the electricity that went through her body once more.
She smiled nervously as she shook his hand,"My name is Lion-- I mean Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia", the blonde looked down sorrowfully as she accidentally uttered the name she resents and yet holds dear to her heart.

He chuckled as he unwillingly dropped his hand and avoided eye contact.
   "So...Lucy. What's a girl like you doing in this crazy city?"
She went pale as she remembered what she had been trying to do.

  "Great! Thanks for distracting me Mr. Hotstuff. Now I missed my freaking train and there's no way I can get back to Crocus from here", she instantly covered her mouth with her hands and blushed.
   "I'm so sorry. Once I open my big mouth it just never closes".

"It's alright Lucy", he said scratching his head awkwardly. "I shouldn't have asked you anything that you weren't comfortable answering".
  "No it's ok", she said softly. "I've heard that telling strangers your troubles helps you feel better.--But you aren't that stranger so I must take my leave. I need to get back to Crocus before 10:00 in the morning".

  "Well that doesn't leave you much time does it?" He said with a sigh. "I guess we can bump into each other another time. It was nice meeting you Lucy. Is there anyway I can help you out?"
  "Maybe...Oh my Mavis! You can!! Please I would be over the moon if you could borrow me your phone. I need to call my friend".
  Natsu smiled at her sparkling eyes as he fished for his phone in his back pocket and handed to her.

She gratefully took it from him and watched the phone in surprise. It was the unreleased version of the FairyPhone X. She looked up at him in confusion.
   'Who exactly is this guy', she immediately shook herself from her thoughts and began to dial in Brandish's phone number. That's when a load of messages piled in. She couldn't help but read it as they came from the top of the screen.

       WAZZZZAAAAPPP HOMESLICE! Yo that hoe Lisanna just showed up. The same girl who dumped you a couple months back. Yeah. Her. She's asking for you man. And she's got some other ugly guy with her. Lmfao. She dumped you for him...jut come to the party man. Once you see this guy you'll start dying of laughter no joke bro.

   'He has--had a girlfriend. I mean what did I expect?' She said looking up at his chiseled face glowing in the starlight.

  Lucy shivered as she quickly swiped up not wishing to continue reading that horrific message. She went back to the first one she read and examined the bottom. She realized that he had already read this message at 10:30.

      'What had he been doing since then', she pondered.

  Shaking herself from her thoughts once again she headed back to the dial window when the screen turned black. She suddenly gasped and began frantically pressing on the dark screen.
     "What's the matter?" He asked walking over to her side and peering down at his dead phone.
    "Oh. It died. Sorry about that Lucy. Is your phone dead as well?"

  "No...", she said with an exhausted sigh. "It was stolen along with my bag by a probably no longer homeless man. It was the latest bedazzled clutch by Louis Vuitton".
     She glanced at him surprised that her mentioning of such an expensive bag.
   He only seemed unimpressed,"Really? I gave my mom the same clutch and a pair of Jimmy Choo's last spring for her birthday".

  Her eyebrows jumped to her bangs as she watched him in shock.
    "I can't really give you any money. All I have is about 20 cents in my pocket and my wallet is in my car which is in the parking lot of the--which means I have no other way of helping you".

  "It's alright", she said straightening her posture and dusting off her dress. "I'll just make my way to the next train station in Shirotsume".
  "You'll be walking for a while", he said confused. "I can take you there--"

"No, no it's alright, I'll find my way. Besides it seems that you need to be somewhere that's more important than talking to a klutzy girl like me", she said while chuckling nervously.

  As she began to walk away, Natsu shouted after her,"It was nice meeting you Lucy!!"
   She turned around with a smile on her face,"You too, Natsu!!"

  She turned around once again and began walking faster. She lightly touched her face with her hands and blushed,"How handsome was he!! Why couldn't I have met him instead Loke?...Oh Jesus Loke! I need to get back home before he notices my letter!"
  Lucy began to run and Natsu watched her until she disappeared from his sight. After she was gone all he could think about was her. Her golden hair. Her brown eyes. Her laugh. Her everything.
   Natsu laughed to himself and slapped his forehead,"You're a real dummy Natsu. There's no way You're actually falling for a girl I haven't known for more than 10 minutes. Might as well try to get to that party without chickening out".

  As Natsu walked in the opposite direction and exited the train station. As he walked down the street and turned the corner he walked through the dangerous back streets. All the people on the sidewalk cleared out and he rolled his eyes and continued walking. As he headed near the alleyway shortcut he noticed Lucy walking down the same way. Color drained from his face as he noticed guys creeping out from side doors approaching her.
   "Lucy!" He called out and she didn't hear him.

"Shit", he cursed as he sprinted across the street. When he reached the shady place, Lucy stood there in fear of what was about to happen next.

  "Hey sweet thing", one man venomously whispered to her. "How about you not make a noise and let me and my boys have a good time?"

   Lucy stood helplessly as she saw one of the guys flash her a gun that was tucked into his belt.
   She shut her eyes as they all began to approach her.

Natsu swooped in at the last minute holding her hand and dragging her behind him. His eyes lit aflame and his stone cold stare and sudden growl caused the men to back up. One of the guys reached for his gun and the leader immediately turned around and began to scream at him,"WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?! DO YOU NOT WHO HE IS?!"

The guy with gun watches Natsu carefully until all color drained from his face.
"It's--It's you! My--my apologies sir!" The guy said repeatedly bowing.

   Natsu only stared at them and then they ran away. Natsu's arm snaked around Lucy's waist as he watched her concerned.
   "Are you okay?" Natsu asked slowly pulling her forward out of the alleyway into the crowded lively street.
   Lucy nodded rapidly hoping her flushed cheeks weren't noticeable. "I don't think I would've walked out alive if it weren't for you", she said smiling to herself.

  They continued to walk in silence. Lucy snuggled her body up against Natsu's arm and she could feel his heart beating. Natsu awkwardly scratched his head and took deep breaths,"So Lucy? Do you want to--".

  Those four words woke her from the trance that Natsu had put her under. She shuffled away from him and shook her head,"Sorry I can't. I'm married".
