One
"Who are you?!" The dark-boned skeleton yelped fearfully, glitches partially covering his eyes and making it so that he could just barely make out a blurry blue blob, an intruder of some kind, in his space, the only place he was safe from Ink.
"Oh! You're awake!" Chirped the small, blue-clad monster, rushing over.
Error cowered in fear, as if expecting a blow of some kind, and the smaller skeleton noticed that reaction.
He stopped, and backed away to give the glitchy monster space.
He pulled out a bar of chocolate- not that Error knew what chocolate was- and set it on the floor, pushing it towards the glitchy skeleton with a simple, "Here."
He then backed away even further, enough that the other monster shouldn't feel threatened by him, and sat down.
He knew all too well what the other monster was feeling, and wanted to try his best not to frighten him any more than he already had.
Error approached nervously, snatching up the chocolate like someone might try to take it away. He looked at it in confusion, uncertain of what it was for or what to do with it.
"Who are you? How did you get here?" Error asked, his voice sounding like it was coming through a radio station with bad reception, staticky and glitched.
"My name is Sans," responded the other, smiling sadly- not that Error could actually see the smile, that is. The dark-boned skeleton could only just barely tell that the other was a skeleton monster without his glasses- which he had lost in a fight with Ink, to his great dismay.
"That isn't very helpful," said Error, glitching heavily. "I'm also a Sans, after all... what AU are you from?"
"I don't know... what are AUs?"
"Heh. If you don't know the name, I guess I'll just call you Blue- as that's the only thing I can actually make out about you- until I figure out where you can from and can send you back. Do you know about the resets?"
"I don't think I do, whatever those are," Blue responded, puzzled. He had no clue what the other monster was talking about, but something about the other told him that he need not fear them. He was safe with this mysterious monster, far safer than back home, where his drunken brother would've hit him by now.
"I suppose I'll have to explain them to you, then," said the glitch as Blue pondered his situation. Error looked at the chocolate again in confusion, still rather bemused by it. "What is this, anyway?"
"It's chocolate, you eat it," replied Blue.
"Eat it? What does that mean?"
Blue gasped. How... how is this monster still alive? Even though they're skeletons, they still have to eat to be able to replenish their magic and to live!
"You... you don't know what eating is?!"
"No... why? Is it important in some way?"
...Blue had a nagging feeling that he would need to explain the necessity of basic bodily functions.
