"

Your teddy can talk too?" Sarah asked, with eyes wide enough to swallow me.

"Wait, what?! You have a teddy that talks?!" I asked, grabbing for Freddy.

"Yeah! Didn't you know? Mr. Kindles can talk!" She smiled, referring to her blue hippo.

"I had no idea! What do you two talk about?" I smiled, tousling Freddy's hair around his hat.

"Well, just school. He is really good with homework help! What do you and Freddy talk about?" She asked, reaching for my backpack, to help me pack.

"Well, I don't really know yet! He just started talking today, but he is kinda weird, he has a much higher voice than my daddy does." I said, looking through my wardrobe to pick out some stuff to wear.

"Huh! Mr. Kindles really likes fire! Wait, can Freddy walk?" She asked, helping me fold.

"No. He says that's one of his flaws. Can Mr. Kindles?" I asked.

"Nope! Hey! You should bring your feety PJs!" She smiled, pulling out my red pleaded pajamas.

"Ok!" I grabbed them, and shoved them into my over flowing bag.

"Do you have everything?" She asked, looking around my blue room.

"I think so? Wait! Hold on, let me grab my picture." I said, diving under neath my bed, to grab my picture. It's of momma, dadda, Mark and I. We were all smiling, holding hands. Mark didn't hate me yet. He looked so happy. His eyes were so wide. I looked at it for a few seconds, smiling. Then I opened my little pouch, and gently put it in there.

"You ready?" She smiled really widely.

"Yeah!! I haven't stayed over in such a long time!" I smiled, remembering The last time we were over.

She took the hand that wasn't carrying Freddy and led me to the den again with dadda and Sarah's dad. He had his muscular arms wrapped tightly around. dadda, as his head was buried tightly in his shoulders. He sniffed, as Sarah's dad patted my dad on the shoulder.

"Everything will be okay Vinney." He smiled, with his rainbow eyes still closed.

"I sure hope so, Evan. Thank you for always being for here for me. I cannot tell you how much this means to me." My dad said, running his thin fingers up and down his back.

"Of course! We've been best friends for how long now? I'll always be here Vincent." He smiled, as they broke there embrace. Sarah and I pretended that we didn't hear any of that, because we didn't want to be sad.

"There they are! Are you all packed Jack?" Sarah's dad smiled, remembering that only Freddy can call me Sean. He is such a good person.

"Yup! Thank you again, Mr, uh," I can't believe I can't remember his last name!

"Mr Fong. But feel free just to call me Evan! Or even Vanoss, as your dad calls me! It dosent bother me!" He smiled, as he walked over to us. He is ridiculously tall.

"Oh, alright Mr. Fong. I feel so foolish!

"Now Jacky, you know the rules. Mind your manners, Behave yourself, don't whine, eat all your food, and have fun, ok?" My dad repeats this speech every single time I stay over at Sarah's house.

"I know dadda. I love you," I lunged into his arms, and wrapping my long arms around his thin neck.

"I love you more buddy." He smiled, wrapping me up.

"I love you most." I said quietly. We do this too. He squeezed me
For a few extra seconds, then let me go to join Sarah, and Mr. Fong.

"Now Evan, you have my number, call me if you need anything." My dad reminded Mr. Fong.

"Of course. Please get some rest Vinney. You deserve it." He smiled, patted his shoulder, and headed out to the car with us.

He opened the door of his little blue car, for us, and we crawled into the two booster seats.

"Thank you Mr. Fong." I smiled, as he latched our buckles. I knew how to do this, but I just let him.

"No problem Jack! What would you guys like for dinner today?" He smiled, as he walked around the car, and hopped into his seat.

"PIZZA!" Sarah and I yelled together, then shared a giggle.

"Hahaha! Pizza it is! We'll have to stop at the store then! Is that okay?" He asked back to us, as we backed out of my driveway, and started driving the road.

"Yay!! I love the store!" Sarah smiled, and kicked her feet.

"How about you Jack?" He smiled.

"Yeah! I like that store too! Thank you!" I smiled, feeling my heart start to pound in excitement.

"Awesome! You're very polite Jack!" He smiled, as he turned up the car radio.

"Thank you! Dadda always reminds me of my manners." I smiled.

"I know! Haha! You have a very good dad." He smiled, as he reached behind the seat, while looking at the road, and patted Sarah's knee, tickling her.

"Thank you! You are a very good dadda too!" I smiled. Mr. Fong's face smushed up because he was really happy.

"Thank you very much Jack! That really means a lot to me." He looked in the car mirror, and pushed his eyes into rainbows. I love seeing him so happy! He has a great smile!

"You're welcome!"

"You are the best daddy dad! I love you!" Sarah smiled, as she leaned up, and kissed her dad's cheek. He blushed.

"Well you're the best daughter ever!" He smiled, turning and kissing her forehead. I love their relationship! They always seem so happy! I wish our family could be like this.

Sarah, and I had started a game of I Spy as we made our way to the store.

"I spy, with my little eye, something, um, BLUE!" Sarah smiled, looking out the window.

"The sky?"

"Nope!"

"Um, the pool?"

"No, try again!"

"The sign up there?"

"Jack, that's green! Haha!! Try again!"

"The car?"

"Yeah! You got it! Good job! Your turn!" She smiled. I quickly searched the open world for something for me to spy.

"I spy, with my little eye, something, black!" I was looking ahead of me.

"The road?"

"No,"

"Hmm, the ground?"

"Haha! Nope silly!"

"The steering wheel?"

"Close! Try again." Mr. Fong scratched his head.

"Dadda's hair?" She asked again.

"Haha! Yeah! Good job!" I smiled, and so did Mr. Fong.

"Hey! I have one! I spy with my little eye, something white, blue, and black!" Mr. Fong joined it.

We all looked ahead of us, and saw a large sign.

"THE STORE!!" Sarah, and I screamed at the same time. Mr. Fong started to burst out laughing.

"Good job you guys!" He pulled into the parking lot. Sarah and I started to bounce up and down in our seats. He stopped the car, as we started to unbuckle our seats. Mr. Fong got out of the car, and opened our door. We both flew out, and ran inside. We were too weak to open the door, but we rugged and tugged on it.

"Haha! Calm down guys!" Mr. Fong smiled, then opened the door with ease.

"Your dad is so strong!" I smiled, as we bolted inside, to look at the land of treats, and drinks.

"What kind of pizza do you guys want?" Mr. Fong asked, opening the big freezer filled with pizzas.

"Is pepperoni okay Jack?" Sarah asked, with her eyes wide. My mouth started watering at the idea of a big, cheesy, drippy, gooey, pepperoni pizza.

"Yeah! Fine with me!" I smiled, as I followed Sarah to her dad.

"Pepperoni please daddy!" She smiled.

"Sounds good!" He smiled, as he reached into the freezer, and pulled out a large pizza. This is going to be great! Dadda only gets small pizzas!!

"Would you guys like a treat?" Mr. Fong asked us, as he shoved the frozen pizza under neath his arm, and grabbed a two liter bottle of Hawaiian Punch.

"Really dadda?!" Sarah asked with wonder in her eyes.

"Well yeah! You have a friend over! I want to make sure that you guys have a fun time!" He smiled, rejiggering the cold punch and the pizza in his arms.

"YOURE THE BEST!" Sarah and I both exclaimed, and hugged his long legs, before bolting to the candy isle.

"What's your favorite candy Jack?" She asked, looking at the vast array of candy that laying front of us.

"Well, my dad and I always get Zots! They fizz in your mouth! What is your favorite?" I smiled, grabbing a strip of the green ones.

"I really like Rollos!" She smiled, grabbing a bag of the Rollo minis."

"You guys ready?" Mr. Fong asked us, holding two pizzas, the punch, and a Monster for himself.

"Are you ready Sarah?" I asked, tightly gripping my Zots.

"I'm ready! You ready daddy?" She asked, looking up to her tall dad.

"Yup! Here, hand me your stuff, and I'll pay." He smiled, reaching his hands down, Sarah handed hers to her dad, while I looked at my hands.

"Do you want me to pay?" I asked quietly.

"Jack, you are my guest. I will pay for you!" He smiled, then I handed him my candy.

"Thank you Mr. Fong." I smiled quietly.

"No problem sport!" He smiled, tousling my hair. His hands are really large, it felt like he was swallowing my head. We walked up to the counter together. He paid, then we all walked to the car again.

At the house

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Welcome to our house again! Haha! Make yourself at home!" Mr. Fong smiled, throwing down his keys on the table, by his jacket.

"Can Jack and I play a game in my room?" Sarah asked, with happy eyes.

"Yeah! I'll start the pizza! Go have fun!" He smiled, laying the pizzas on the table, and grabbing a knife from his drawer, and slicing a big slit in the pizza packaging, hearing the hiss of the packaging. Sarah grabbed my wrist, then led me out of the living room, and into her brightly colored room. She really likes the color orange, because that's what her room was even colored in!

"Here is Mr. Kindles!" She smiled, picking up a little blue hippo stuffy. I can tell that he used to be really fluffy, but she sleeps with him every night, so he is a bit smushed. He seemed to be missing in eye.

"Wow! He looks really cuddly!" I smiled, petting Freddy's torn ear. Come to think of it, I don't reall know how his ear got torn in the first place.

"He is! He really reminds me of my daddy," She smiled, staring down to the hippo.

"You mean Mr. Fong?" I asked.

"Well, one of them. I had two daddys. But one of them, he just went away one day, I haven't seen him ever since I was two." She said quietly.

"Wait, you had two daddys? Don't you have a momma?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"No, I was adopted by two dads, but now I only have one. I don't know where the other one is," She said quietly. I could tell that she was getting really sad.

"So not only did my mom want me, neither did my other dad," Tears started to roll down her cheeks.

"Hey, there is no reason to feel bad about yourself. My brother wants me dead, because he blames me for momma dying."

"What? Your mommy's dead?" She asked, loudly.

"Yeah, When, um, when I was five, my momma and I were going to see the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, we were driving, and she was crying. I tried to ask her what was wrong, but every time I tried to talk, she would start screaming. We were driving, while we were swerving everywhere. Eventually drove into the bridge railing, and, well, I haven't seen her since. I don't know if shes still alive, or not. Dad said she rather off be dead. If anyone knows about not being wanted, Its me. We have more in common than what leads on to be Sarah," I said with tears rolling down my cheeks. I looked to Sarah, and her eyes were as green as emeralds.

"I wish I could have gotten to see him at least. I don't remember him at all," She said, while wiping her eyes.

"Well, we both still have our dads. And they are the best things we do have. And we also still have each other. Everyone needs a friend." I smiled, holding her shaking hand.

"Everyone needs a friend. I love you Jack," She smiled, wrapping her long arms around me.

"I, I love you too Sarah," I smiled, letting her tears soak into my shirt. Its weird, having someone who can one hundred percent relate to your situation, and having them not wanting to kill you. I have never had a friend as special as Sarah, and I will make sure to always take care of her.

"Pizza is done!" Mr. Fong called for us.

We both looked at each other. She reached up to my cheek, and I hers, we wiped each others tears.

"We may be weak alone,"

"But we are strongest together," We said. We clasped hands, and walked out into the den.
