𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐈 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐈𝐈

—— BEFORE I GO ——

Elena walks in the interns locker room when she saw Meredith pin up a poster for roommates.

"Roommates?" Elena asked confused.

Meredith nods hanging up another sign before walking towards her locker and joins the Rossi woman getting ready.

"Do you think I could be one of them?" Elena asked with a pout.

"I thought you had a place already" Meredith recalled as she remembers some information about the girls family.

"I do but i currently live in a building my brother owns" Elena said before adding "my apartment is next to this couple who moo during sex it is the most outrageous thing and it messes with my sleep"

"Your kidding?" Meredith ask while biting her lip to not laugh as the twenty three year old looks at her with a serious face.

"Nope 'Thats it baby like that moo!" Elena mimics and both women both burst out in laughter after catching their breath the grey woman nods looking at the young girl and sighs and nods her head.

"Okay you can move in" Meredith replies causing the blonde Italian woman to squeal a pull the older blonde into a hug.

"Thank you Mer you're the best" Elena exclaimed kissing the older woman on her cheek.

Izzie and George saw the roommate poster and were quick to approach the Grey woman about it.

"We're together 100 hours a week for work, you really wanna live together too? I already said yes to Elena"

"Oh you're bringing bribes now?"
Cristina asked Meredith who was holding a coffee cup as they made their way to Dr Bailey.

"It's not a bribe... it's a mocha latte."

"I can put down last, first and deposit," George said trying to convince the woman.

"It's totally a bribe." Cristina said while Elena shrugged and nods.

"I can cook. And I'm an obsessive cleaner." Izzie said.

"All I want is two roommates, two total strangers who we don't have to be nice to." Meredith said.

"George, you're running the code team, Meredith, Elena, take the trauma patients, Cristina, deliver the weekend labs, Izzie, you're on sutures." Bailey said as they reached her.

"Dr Bailey. I was hoping to assist you in the OR today, maybe do a minor procedure? I think I'm ready. Mocha latte?" Meredith held out the cup.

"If she gets to cut, I want to cut too." Cristina cut in quickly.

"Yeah, me too." Izzie said.

"I'm not gonna beg" Elena shrugged earning a look from Bailey.

"I wouldn't mind another shot, I mean, if everybody else is-" George also said before he was cut off by Bailey.

"Stop talking. Every intern wants to perform their first surgery, that's not your job. Do you know what your job is? To make your resident happy. Do I look happy? No. Why? Because my interns are whining, You know what will make me look hanny? Having the code team staffed, having the trauma patients answered, having the weekend labs delivered, and having someone down in the Pit, doing the sutures," she said. She took the mocha latte. "No one holds a scalpel until I'm so happy I'm Mary freakin' Poppins." she said.

"She reminds me of my grandmother a little bit" Elena stated looking at the group.

"Mocha latte my ass." Izzie whispered to Meredith who rolled her eyes, Cristina nodded in agreement.

"Why are you all standing there?
Move!" Bailey exclaimed and they scattered quickly, Meredith and Elena walking towards the open elevator where they saw Derek stood inside, alone. Meredith looked at Elena who was smirking smirked.

"I am taking the stairs just so good luck with McDreamy" Elena said winking at the woman and smiles at the Neurosurgeon as she walks away from the two laughing her ass off.

Elena looks up when she hear footsteps coming close towards her and laughed at her friend's appearance. Her hair was a mess, her cheeks were red and her scrub top was crinkled.

"What?" Meredith innocently asked.

"Was it good?" Elena smirked.

"No we didn't have sex we just kissed... in the elevator." Meredith tried to flatten her hair.

"You two the doctors?" A nurse asked, the girls nodded.

"We've got a rape victim. You better get in there." She said, leading them into the room, as another nurse explained the situation. "21-year-old female found down at the park, status: post trauma, she came in with a GCS of 6, BP 80 over 60, head trauma, unequal breath sounds, right pupil is dilated, and she's ready for x-ray."

Elena froze, her breath caught in her throat. Meredith looks at the younger woman in concern.

"No get off me!" Younger Elena screams as she hits the unknown man that holding a knife and tearing the girl's clothes off her body

A smack sounds to in the alley and pain hits the teen girl causing her to yelp in pain.

"Shut up bitch" a eerie voice says and he grunts forcing himself in the girl.

"El?, Elena?, ELENA ROSSI" Meredith's voice pulls the girl from her flashback.

"What?, oh yeah I'm fine I'm good" Elena says obviously not okay.

"You sure" A concerned Meredith asked.

Elena nods as she pushed her personal feelings aside and focussed on the patient ignoring Meredith shooting her a concerned look.

"Let's get her down to x-ray now."
Elena said, everyone nodded and began to move the patient.

—— BEFORE I GO ——

After Alison's surgery she sat outside on a bench with Meredith, who was carrying a cooler around. It contained part of a penis found in Alison, the rape victims mouth and Meredith had to look after it till the cops took it.

"What're you two doing out here?"
Cristina asked.

"Just sitting with our penis."
Meredith said. "You?"

"Hiding from Alex." Cristina replied.

"Who?" Elena asked confused.

"Oh!" Cristina realised Elena thankfully hadn't encountered him yet. "The guy who called Meredith a nurse, he's one of Bailey's interns with us now."

"I kissed Derek." Meredith told
Cristina.

"You kissed Derek." Cristina repeated slowly.

"In the elevator." Meredith nodded as she elbowed a snickering Elena.

"Oh, you kissed him in the elevator." Cristina said as Elena pager went off.

"That me gotta go." Elena cackling and heads back inside.

—— BEFORE I GO ——

"So, police said they can't send anyone down yet. I've got to spend the night with a penis. Alex, don't say it." Meredith snapped as she walked into their empty corridor to join their fellow interns with Elena following behind.

"It was too easy." Alex sighed staring at Elena with a mischievous look.

"So you must Alex" Elena said taking a drink of her coffee.

"Yeah." He replied smirking back. "You look familiar have we met before?"

"I don't think so" She states looking at the men with distrust seeing the way he was looking at her.

"Who here feels like they have no idea what they're doing?" George asked. Everyone except Alex and Elena threw their hands up. "I mean, are we supposed to be learning something, because I don't feel like I'm learning anything."

"Except how not to sleep." Izzie said.

"I was raised by men I learned how not to sleep if I did I would end up in the pool" Elena stated closing her eyes and leans against Alex not even caring if he fine with it or not.

"We're just suturing, code running, lab delivering penis-minders." Meredith said

"I hate being an intern." Alex said just as Dr Bailey rounded the corner giving her interns a look which quickly caused them to scarper off.

—— BEFORE I GO ——

It was nearter end of the shift and the interns were gathered in the locker room. George, Izzie giving Meredith puppy eyes.

"Okay, fine! Izzie, George, you guys can move in." Meredith said.

"I knew you'd cave!" Izzie shouted.

"Yes!" George cheered.

''I can't believe I/she caved," Meredith and Elena said.

The rest of the interns nodded in
agreement getting ready to leave but Elena stopped as her peers made their way to main door to exit the hospital.

"El, You coming ?" George asked his friend.

"I gotta do something real quick I'll see you guys later?" The group looked at her in admiration and smiled at her before leaving too.

—— BEFORE I GO ——

Hours later, Elena sits next to Alison eyes, on her computer when she noticed Allison's eyes fluttering slightly, and leapt out of her chair, calling out for Dr Shepherd.

Leaning closer to the warrior, she held her hand gently, murmuring reassurances, "hey, welcome back Allison."

The woman held back onto her hand, hold tightening when Derek stepped into the room and explained what had happened, and what she'd gone through.

One he was done, he stepped back, gesturing towards the blonde, "Dr Rossi hasn't left your room for a minute these past hours. so if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask her." He shot the intern a proud look, nodding his head with a smile before departing the room quietly.

"it's okay. You're safe now. They got the bastard Alison" Elena mutter's grabbing the girls hand gently as she began to sob. "He's never going to hurt another woman again"

"You did so well Alison you are so strong and I promise everything will be okay I won't say it's not going be a struggle but you we'll get through it and if you don't than I will be right there and one call away" She said holding Allison until fell back asleep, a small smile on her face.

Inhaling shakily, she quickly wiped the tears that had gathered in her eyes, before leaving the room.

"You okay?" Derek Shepherd asked staring at her worried.

"Yes, just bring back bad memories I was not that much younger than her but sadly I wasn't strong enough to fight him off" Elena recalls staring at Alison.

"What you did today," he began, voice soft, "I mean staying with her, keeping her company? That's what tells me you're gonna make an incredible doctor."

"No one deserves to wake up alone after a tragedy. I was lucky enough to have my sister in law by my side before she even knew my brother " Elena softly smiles.

"Yes, they do. You should go home Dr Rossi. Tomorrow me and you are gonna talk a bit about your uncle's book because I'm confused" Derek replied softly grabbing the girls shoulder hoping to not send her in a flashback.
