"come on! i wanna ride everything!" lili runs into the park like a little kid, pulling chris with her. she looks up to see a very tall roller coaster.

chris begins shaking his head. "uh uh. that thing is like a million miles high."

"matt?" lilith let's go off chris' hand and stands in front of matt. he shrugs his shoulders. nick nods.

"let's go bitch." nick starts walking to the line.

"are you guys really not going to ride it?" lilith looks at them. "it's the first ride, and you're chickening out?"

"i'll go, too. i guess." matthew follows after nicolas as lilith stands in front of christopher.

"please." she looks up at him. "i'll ride anything you want me to."

chris peers at her sideways, his head going to the gutter immediately. "ayo?"

"you know what i mean." she slaps his arm. "never mind. you can stand down here and watch us ride it."

lilith begins walking away before chris grabs her hand and walks with her. she smiles over at him as then gets in line beside nick and matt.

"you actually convinced him?" nicolas raises his eyebrows.

"down bad". matt mutters under his breath. chris slaps the back of his head.

"shut the hell up."

as they get closer, there are two seats in a row.

"you're riding beside me, right?" christopher looks at lilith, who nods.

"yeah, of course." she turns towards him. "i'll even hold your hand if you get scared."

chris laughs and steps onto his side, sitting down and pulling the protector thing down over his chest. lilith does the same and watches as chris checks hers. she smiles at the gesture and grabs chris' hand.

"you scared?" he asks her, having to lean forward to see her.

"no. but i know that you are." lilith attempts to look back at nick and matt, but can't see them.

"please do not try to get out at any time of the ride, once you return to this area, the seatbelts will release and you will be able to step out to your left. enjoy the ride and try not to puke. it'll only make the people behind you angry. have fun." the announcer says and the roller coaster takes off.

lilith feels christopher's grip tighten on her hand as they round the first loop. lilith screams of joy and hears matt scream in fear behind her, making her laugh quickly because of the adrenaline rushing through her.

the coaster goes upside down again, making chris tighten his grip on lili's hand. he realizes he might be hurting her, so he loosens it up some, but when they take a big drop, he tightens it right back.

when the ride comes to a stop, lilith looks over to see chris white as a ghost. she frowns slightly as they exit the ride together.

"i'm sorry." she says as they walk down the stairs.

"for what?" christopher's breathing is heavy.

"making you ride the roller coaster. i won't make you ride anything else." she scratches the side of her face. chris stops walking and pulls her to the side.

"hey, i had fun. even if i almost shit my pants every time we went upside down." chris makes her feel better as she laughs, walking alongside him until they meet up with matt and nick.

"shit, matt. you look awful." chris says, watching matt hold his stomach.

"thanks." matt replies sarcastically. "that was terrible."

"you sounded like a little girl when we went upside down." lilith says, looking at nick who agrees with her.

"that's what i said!" he laughs and grabs lilith's arm, interlocking his with hers.

"what are we riding next?" lilith asks, pointing at all of the options.

"that one!" nick points at a freefalling ride.

"fuck no!" matt expressing from behind them.

"i agree with matt. no fucking way." chris walks beside lili.

"then we will get on it alone and you two can ride the carousel." nick flips them off and pulls lili away.

"actually, don't because i want to ride the carousel." lili points at them before they turn a corner.

lilith's loud scream could be heard across the park. when they are let out of the seats, lili is shaking.

"uhh," she shivers. "i'm never doing that one again."

"what? why not?" nick asks as they walk towards matt and chris.

"i felt like i was about to fucking fall to my death." she says, within earshot of chris.

"aww. daredevil lili didn't like the ride?" he teases, standing up.

"nope. never doing one like that again. fucking scariest moment of my life." she says as chris puts his arm over her shoulders, pulling her close to him.

"shit, lili. you're shaking." he stops, looking over at her.

"it was scary!" she laughs and walks again.

the quartet sat at one of the lunch tables, immediately taking out their phones as they wait on their food.

"look at the picture i got of you guys in the car." nick says, flipping his phone around to show chris and lilith.

"you guys look adorable." nick locks his phone, setting it on the table while chris and lili look at each other. chris throws his arm over lilith's shoulder, looking over at her.

"we are pretty adorable, aren't we?" christopher plays with lili's hair as he teases her.

"y'all would make a cute couple." nick adds, making chris' smile grow even wider as lilith shakes her head.

"i agree." chris continues to look at lili, who's face has turned a light shade of pink.

"i think you can keep dreaming." she stands up, rubbing her hand on top of his head, ruffling his hair before walking to get their food. chris scoffs after watching her walk away. he follows after her, wrapping his arms around her back.

she quickly turns around, only to see the brunette with a stupid grin on his face.

sighing, lilith takes a step forward and then turning back around to face him.

"jesus, chris. you scared the shit out of me."

"you really don't think we are cute together?" christopher teases while brushing a strand of hair out of lili's face. she blushes at the gesture and smiles cheekily at him.

shaking her head she jokes back with him, "nope." his jaw drops open as he gasps, actually feeling slightly hurt, but putting on a show for her.

"i'm offended, lilith." chris turns away from her, crossing his arms with a small smile on his face.

"aww, chris is upset. poor baby." lilith walks up to her place in line, which is getting closer to the window.

"maybe i'll invite sasha over tomorrow when we get back home. i kinda miss her." chris watches as lilith turns around with the scariest death stare he's ever seen.

"no. i never want to see that bitch again." lilith shakes her head, staring at chris, who grins at the girl's sudden anger.

"then i suggest this little act your putting on comes to a stop soon." chris whispers in lilith's ear, sending a flood of goosebumps down her body. lili stays facing forward, in an attempt to keep the redness of her face hidden from chris. however, he turns her face towards his, smiling at her surprise.

"next?" the man standing in the window calls to lilith, snapping her out of the moment she was having. she walks up, redness still apparent on her face. the guy working was quite young, probably slightly older than the two. "what can i do for you, beautiful?"

chris scowls at the guy, immediately growing sour. he wraps his arm around lili's waist, pulling her closer to him in an attempt to tell the guy to fuck off.

"um, i have a pickup for sturniolo." lilith manages to smile at the guy, who grew a smirk on his face.

"i'm on it, honey." the guy walks away from the window in enough time that lili has to look back at chris. he looks as if he could kill the guy.

"chill out, chris. he's just being friendly." lilith brushes off the fact that the man is attempting to flirt with her.

"yeah. that's why he's calling you 'gorgeous' and 'honey'." chris scoffs as the guy walks back up with four to-go plates in a bag.

"thank you." lilith takes the bag and turns to leave.

"hey!" the guy in the window grabs her attention and she looks back at him. "can i get your number?"

chris is quick to answer, "no, you can't."

"you should let her answer, dude. i didn't ask you." RED FUCKING FLAG.

"i'm gonna stick with his answer. i have a boyfriend."

"i don't see him anywhere." the guy ended up stepping out of the truck sometime during the conversation.

lilith tightens her grip on the back of chris' shirt, telling him to do something.

"you're looking at him, man." chris steps in front of lilith slightly, while talking to the guy.

"hmm. are you sure you want him and not me?" he says, looking back at lilith.

"i don't even know your name." lilith speaks up, laying her hand on chris' shoulder.

"i'm kenneth." he smirks, "what's your name, baby?"

she almost throws up in her mouth. "lilith."

"it's amazing to meet you, lilith." kenneth takes a step forward, smiling at the girl.

"mhm." lilith hums lowly, but loud enough for kenneth to hear. chris' breathing hitches as kenneth takes another step. his shoulders are tense, which lilith feels and loosens her grip on him.

"are you sure i can't get your number?" he asks, yet again. lilith shakes her head with her lips pulled together. "damn. i would love to talk to you."

"sorry. no can do." chris says and pulls lilith away with him. "shit. guys never give up do they?"

"no, chris, they don't." lilith looks chris dead in the eye, pointing the comment at him.

"very funny, lili." he fake laughs and sits down in front of nick.

"what took you guys so long?" matt asks when lilith begins pulling the boxes out. she hands them out to their respective owner.

"some guy was hitting on me. no big deal." lilith brushes it off and takes a sip of her dr pepper.

"did you get his number?" nick asks, eagerly. lilith gives him an unamused look and looks down at her food.

"no. he was a douche. plus, chris attempted to scare him off." lili looks over at him as she jokes.

"attempted? i did scare him off." he objects, before taking a bite of his chicken tender.

"no you didn't. we walked away. you hardly even said anything." lilith furthers the argument. "if he were to walk over here right now, what would you do?"

"i don't know. probably stand up and tell him to walk away."

"that's not very scary, chris." nick says from in front of him. chris just huffs and rolls his eyes.

"whatever. i got us away, didn't i?" he looks at lili, who nods.

the group spent the rest of the day looking around and riding some easy-going rides. as they get closer to leaving, lilith makes them buy funnel cakes with her.

lilith moans at how good the dessert in front of her tastes. chris watches as she licks the excess powdered sugar off of her lips, but looks away as she look over at him.

"these are so good." nick says with powdered sugar covering his mouth. lilith laughs as she looks at him. "what?"

"you've got white stuff all over your face." matt gives nick a napkin.

"that's what he said." lilith mutters, loudly enough for chris to hear from beside her.

"no fucking way." chris says while laughing loudly. he bumps his shoulder into hers while they laugh together.

"they're so cute." nick whispers to matt, who nods in agreement.

they would make such a good couple, yet everyone but them realize it. chris and lilith laugh for a while longer, taking quick breaths to calm themselves down.

"you guys are blind." nick says, making the duo confused. he just shakes his head and finishes the rest of his funnel cake.

lilith and chris look from each other to nick and then back to each other. chris smiles at her, looking in her eyes and then getting lost in them.

chris realizes then that he will have to work much harder to get lili to fall for him, but he didn't know that she was falling already.
