"bitches, we should read out dms." grey suggests from the backseat, smacking his hand on nicks headrest. "like, not switch phones or nothing, but read our own."

"okay, grey! i see you!" nick yells, fist bumping him. everyone pulls out their phones, opens instagram and goes to the direct message portion.

"jesus. i have so many that are unread." lilith says, scrolling through the lot of them. chris looks at both of their phones, which are in front of lilith.

"me too." he replies, resting his head on her shoulder, neither of them thinking anything of it.

"i'll start: bro, aren't you friends with lilith dane?? she's hot. should give me her number." ridge reads from the back, laughing as he replies to them.

"what are you replying with?!" lilith turns around, watching his thumbs move quickly over the screen as he looks down with a smile.

"i said- she's not for sale, buddy. try again next year." ridge says, making the car laugh loudly.

"nickkk, your brother chris is literally so fine. is he single??" nicolas gags, and puts his hand over his mouth, shaking his head. "DISGUSTING! you bitches are NASTY!"

"oh my lord, peyton, you are absolutely the most beautiful thing in the world. give me your social security and i'll send some money to you!" peyton looks into the camera. "do you think i'm fucking stupid?"

"harley, you are actually so pretty! i love your videos, and you seem like such a fun person to be around!! if you're fine with it, i would love to hang out with you, peyton and lilith sometime! mssg me back if you okay with it!!" harley smiles down at her phone.

"aww, she's actually so sweet! message her back asking her the normals, like how old she is, where she's from... y'know." peyton suggests from beside her.

"matty b !! i absolutely love yalls youtube videos ! you're definitely the hottest !! don't tell the others though ..." matt's face twists at the nickname, but it turns to a smug smile at the compliment.

"NO! we all know i'm the hottest. i think we've already established this in our other dm video!" chris yells from behind lilith, lifting her up slightly so he can point closely to the camera.

"and only we can call him matty b." lilith says matter-of-factly to the camera.

"that's right, lili d." he daps her up, laughing lowly with her.

the group continues reading funny dm's, even replying to some of them. when they end the video though, they decide to hit up walmart.

lilith, chris, flynn and grey end up separated from the others. they all walk together into the toy aisle, picking up styrofoam swords. lilith starts a battle with chris, while flynn and grey act like guards before they start fighting.

through laughs, and lilith's amazing acting skills, she's on the floor, a sword stuck in between her arms.

"hey!" a walmart worker yells at them, so flynn helps lilith up while grey puts the swords back. the worker begins running towards them, so they take off, swerving around people and laughing loudly.

when the coast is clear, they stop and see that they're in a hat aisle. flynn grabs cowboy hats for him and lilith, putting it on her head.

chris grabs a brown hat and puts it on, while grey grabs a white hat and wears it backwards. they all walks around until they find the others again.

"you guys left me with these dumbasses." lilith says, walking up to nick.

"can't be worse than ridge. he literally opened a jug of milk, and drank a sip from it. THEN HE PUT IT BACK IN THE FRIDGE!" nick expresses his disgust, shooting a dirty look at ridge, who has a goofy smile on his face. lilith laughs at him, and he walks over to put his arm over her.

"let's go back home." chris suggests, walking away with the others following behind him. they all take the hats off and place them in a random cereal aisle.

after getting back home, they all separate. some are in the living room, some in the kitchen, even a few people upstairs in nick's room.

chris and lilith were both in the kitchen, cooking and jamming out to music. for some reason, the triplets' parents, mary lou and jimmy, went out for a date night, so they were taking advantage of the speaker.

lili is stirring the pizza sauce, that she made herself, in a pot on the stove. chris is kneading the store-bought dough.

"don't get too excited. we don't want our dough to hit the floor." lilith smiles at christopher, who throws it in the air, catching it.

he does this again, until one time it hits the ceiling and then the floor. lilith laughs loudly, putting the spoon on the counter. they both move together, laughing silently. you know- the laugh that is so hard you can't even hear it; that feels like the only thing happening is the moment between the person you're laughing with; that any moment you feel like you could stop breathing, but you don't care because it's the happiest moment you've had in a while.

when they calm down, they are very close and it makes them both take a deep breath.

"you smell nice." chris breathes, moving a piece of hair away from lilith's face, that is burning a bright red.

"thank you." lilith replies, standing there quite awkwardly. chris begins leaning in, much to lilith's surprise. she moves her arms up around his neck before he gets any closer.

chris' heart is beating a million times a minute as he leans in to the kiss. their lips haven't touched yet, but he already feels like he's lighting up on the inside. like a firework that's bound to explode soon.

lilith gathers the courage to close the gap between the two, latching their lips and sharing an intimate moment. she feels her heart lighten, and not how it did when she kissed trevor. no, this was way more serious.

they both knew they had feelings for each other, but neither of them knew if it was reciprocated. however, now they know.

chris moves his lips in sync with lilith's, who decided to make the kiss actually happen, which he is beyond thankful for. he moves a hand to the back of her neck and one down to her waist. there's no explaining how chris feels in this exact moment. the only thing he's thinking right now is-

oh my fucking god

when they pull away from each other, chris looks down into lilith's eyes, smiling intently.

"lilith, i think i need to tell you something." chris sighs, brushing a piece of hair behind her ear.

"um, okay. you're making me nervous," lili laughs lightly, backing away from chris barely a centimeter.

"i think i'm-" chris is interrupted by nicolas, who runs into the kitchen, screaming.

"AAHH! THERE'S A BIRD IN HERE!!" he runs outside, and lilith laughs going to follow him.

"can we talk about this later?" lili puckers her lips, which forms to a smile.

"yeah. sure." chris offers a small smile as lilith leaves the kitchen, running down the stairs and outside, where nick is.

"nick?" lilith walks around in the dark. "are you out here?"

someone grabs her from behind, putting a hand over her mouth. she screams loudly against the hand, thrusting her arms, trying to get away.

"OW!" a guy complains behind her, pulling her against a wall. "asshole."

"flynn?" lilith asks, straining her eyes to see in the dark.

"LILITH?" christopher looks frantically around the outside of the house, searching in the dark for his best friend.

"i'm over here. flynn was being a dumbass." lilith steps out of the darkness, revealing herself to the youngest triplet, who engulfs her in a tight hug.

"oh, thank god." chris leans his head into her neck. she hugs him back, comforting the boy. "i thought something happened."

"well, it didn't. i'm completely fine." she can feel him breathing heavily. "hey, look at me. i'm perfectly fine. it was just flynn messing around." chris looks the girl in the eyes and nods.

"i'm in love with you." chris breathes out, barely loud enough for lilith to hear him. but when it does, she takes a step back, shocked.

"wh- what did you just say?" lilith's face makes chris regret what he just said.

"never mind, jus... just forget i even said anything." chris turns away, running a hand through his hair as he begins walking away. lilith shakes her head and walks in front of him, placing a hand on his chest before lifting up to reach his ear.

"i feel the same way." her words send a flood of goosebumps down chris' back, and he smiles softly, his cheeks turning a bright shade of red.

"guys, come on! peyton wants to watch an avengers movie!" matt yells from the front door. chris and lilith walks side by side, neither of them planning on telling any of their friends what just happened.
