When Love First Sees
I feel so disappointed in myself. I am taking way too long to write these shitty chappies. And I'm now writing 3 fics at the same time with very long chapters and it's just taking me a lifetime to update one chapter of anything. It's been almost 2 weeks since I last updated this story *cri* and I am writing one on archive of our own that I also copied down here. Plus I am making a crossover on archive of our own between Hetalia and Attack on Titan with two of my other friends (So everyone is writing stuff for specific characters, editing, revising, an putting different parts that each of us wrote together to make an actual story which is taking a very large amount of time). And I've gotten people to help edit and revise my fics on archive of our own, so it is taking twice the amount of time to write those fics. But enough of my rambling, onto the story!
Lucy stood by Natsu, watching the stars start to flicker to life as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. At some point one of them had actually gained the courage to grab the other's hand and they still held hands as they leaned against the railing overlooking the waves crashing against the shore. Lucy wore a light blue dress that's skirt ruffled in the breeze. Spaghetti straps covered a small portion of her shoulders and a shiny belt with a fabric flower sown onto it was worn just above her waist, making her look a little thinner than usual. A white flower was attached to her wrist above the hand that held Natsu's.
Natsu wore a suit that actually looked somewhat casual. It wasn't too formal, but at the same time didn't look cheap or too casual. He even had a salmon-colored tie to top it off. After the sun had slowly said its final goodbyes, Lucy pulled Natsu along behind her down the empty streets, staying near the ocean-side. After a while of walking like that Lucy led him closer to the water, where they climbed on top of a column of rocks, the salty water splashing their faces as they laughed, trying not to get their clothes too wet.
Lucy suddenly shushed Natsu and pointed out toward the water. "Look! They're sea serpents!" And she was right. Swimming through the water, sticking their heads up from time to time were giant lizards of the sea. They were't very far and their scales reflected the little light that was still available at such a time of day. A small amount of fire swirled around Natsu as he got excited about it. The sea serpents were absolutely magnificent. They swam in circles around each other then came closer, noticing the light Natsu was emitting.
When they were close enough to be touched, Natsu cautiously reached a hand out and touched one of them that let out a loud purring sound and leaned into his hand. Two more peered their heads over the large boulders and sprayed foamy water over the two. A fourth lifted it's head tentatively above the water and looked up at the couple sitting on the rocks. It lifted it's head up curiously to see what the others were doing. Lucy held her hand out to the shy one and it cautiously let her pet it's head. It purred softly like a kitten.
After the sea creatures had left them, soaking in the water they had lapped above the rocks, Lucy and Natsu decided to go back into town to find a hotel seeing how dark it was. Today had been a good day.
