The Start Of Something New
There was a calming silence. Yet my mind was raving. Raving with various thoughts, and questions I should ask, I even thought about my project and what I might do to score an A times a million.
But then the thought of Luna passed my crazed mind, this was her son. And tonight was the last she had ever seen of him, and this would mark ruin on her heart for the rest of her life.
It's been told, to never change or alter anything in the past. It was meant to be, in a way it has already shaped our future to begin with. So as I sat there, listening to nothing, but the wind speed on by, I let my wandering mind cease in its pondering, and led my eyes to Stone.
"I'd ask you where you are from. But I already have a feeling you ain't from around here."
"Well shouldn't you be on your way home now?" I changed the subject in hopes to get information on his leaving from home.
It was nothing like his words in his journal, everything seemed so vibrantly beautiful. His presence, the subtle emotions in his voice when he spoke was truly captivating. I found myself being drawn closer and closer to him, my arm brushing heavily against his, he froze.
"I should, shouldn't I. And shouldn't you? But since here we are in the middle of an alleyway, I suppose we both don't plan on heading back to that comforting place, we all call home now are we?" He was brutish with his smart remark, but I was bitterly unintimidated.
His brow raised in questioning, he had already figured me out in the few minutes we have spent together, and it became a bit eerie.
But he was waiting, waiting for an answer. Though he knew he was completely right, he was waiting for the right words, for this perfect moment.
He was waiting for the okay, and he wanted me to give it to him.
"No. Not at all."
------------
You remember that moment Stone?
This moment where you turned an unexpected arrival, to a never ending journey of security, of happiness, of love?
True love.
A love that wasn't fated by the stars that gleamed in the moon lit night, not a love shouted to be destined from over fantasized thoughts.
But a love where two souls found each other through a twist in time.
And though it was only for a short moment.
It will always feel like forever, although I am haunted with old memories, hoping that maybe one day we could once again create new ones.
Yet maybe that is too much to ask for?
