The Hope He Gave Her

My emotions were poking fun at me, I felt it.
They laughed, as they stripped me bare, and I fell to my knees asking for dear mercy.
"It is time to go Grant, school is out, you don't need your friends, and your parents having heart attacks. Now, come girl."
I stared at GateKeeper, he was in normal clothes. And there was something about him, that was eerily familiar.
Particularly speaking, familiar to someone I know, I just couldn't exactly think of who. Ignoring this minor detail, I packed the letters, and ran out.
And with a simple snap of his fingers I was back at school, waiting in an empty hallway.
Well until the bell rang, then, it filled like water falling over, hitting a napkin.
They spreaded quickly, almost drowning me in such a bountiful presence. I was bumped around as I attempted to push on through. I looked around for GateKeeper, but he must've not appeared at all, I couldn't find him anywhere.
"Grant! Grant! There you are, you ran off during lunch, and didn't attend any classes. I was worried."
Eliza tugged me close, in fear of losing me again. Understanding this I hugged her too.
There was hope in me now, I felt strong enough to conquer. Conquer any, and everything that seemed to tread my way.
And I could only thank Stone, and GateKeeper, for restoring it. I read half of the one hundred letters Stone left for me, but even though I laugh, yet mostly cry.
I've came to the understanding, that I had replaced my memory of the good times, he and I, have shared. And instead with my misery I broke my heart, I let it crumble in my palms, when we were separated.
And now it's time for me to live, or at least attempt to, it's what Stone wanted for me anyway. I had to do this, I had to do it for him.
"I'll come along to Luna's, Eliza. You are right, I just needed some fresh air, for a new start. Being here just is a bit dreary. Because I hate school, for goodness sake."
