Encounters
No one seemed to stop or ask if everything was alright. And I only figured Eliza was watching with her eyes in an evil low glare, smiling. Hoping that he'd roll over on top of me, and kiss me romantically.
She watched too many romance movies, imagined too many romantic scenes in that little mind of hers. And was probably plotting every single thing to the T.
"Can you please get off of me? I can't breathe, with your elbow deep into the center of my back." Mumbling I could hardly hear him. Jumping closer I pushed his large body into the tiled floor beneath us.
"I'm sorry what was that?" I asked thoughtfully.
"Get off of me! I can't breathe!"
Still unable to hear him through his muffled screaming, I weighed him down with my sunken weight. "What?"
"Get. Off. Of. Me!"
"Oh...oh! I'm so sorry!"
"Bloody hell are you deaf?" Finally lifting off of his back, I hopped onto the floor with my feet flat on the ground.
"No! I am not deaf, I just couldn't hear you when you had all of that pig shit, in your big mouth!" Now standing face to face, he squinted devilishly.
Raising a brow I gripped the strap to my backpack tighter. "I see you're never going to let the pig shit eating scenario go eh?"
"No. No I will not."
"Well my sincerest apologies, for my crude jokes earlier." He put out his hand in hopes that I'd call it truce. But his shots were fired and I took every bullet, I refused to bend my back to forgive him.
"Good, you should be sorry for insulting someone you don't even know." Smirking once more, he laughed.
The classroom was now empty, as everyone found their space to pass by me, and the boy, undetected.
His eyes gleamed with intricacy, and I just pounded him down with my fierce, deathly glare. "My name is Joss."
"And?"
"Well yours is Grant, we both equally have rather odd names."
"Oh, and now you are hoping for a friendship?"
"Brief, but yes I suppose a friendship could possibly work."
Gleaming in bliss his straight flashy teeth practically blinded me, I shrugged tiredly. He was bloody gorgeous.
Fiddling with something in my hand his attention shook me down. "Were you planning to keep that as a souvenir? Because if so I'm honored, but if not, I'd like it back, I'm not one with my hair falling in my face."
Trying to regain my focus from off of his beauty, I finally noticed what exactly he was referencing to. The striped black and white hair tie that was looped around my fingers.
Holding out my hand frantically, "oh sorry, here have it back. I understand why you don't like having your hair in your face. You know with all of that pig shit eating, I'm sure it can get a little messy."
With a loud, deep laugh he fell back onto the heel of his designer boots. "I've mistaken you for an uptight, unamused ginger. I will gladly inform you that I was very much wrong. I was just trying to give you a hard time earlier this week Grant. But I do have practice, and I better get going so I'll see you Monday aye?"
"Practice for what?" I asked, attempting to act suave, pouting my lips out awkwardly, and shifting my stance, so that my weight rested on my left, as my hip pointed outwards.
Looking me over, his brows lifted intrigued. "I am an actor. Well for theatre, I have a play coming up, in about a week or so. You should come."
"I'll have to check my calendar, it's usually full, but you know if I feel like it I'll move some things around, make room for you, and your um...play." Rolling his eyes playfully, he smiled widely.
"You're quite charming. But uh, yes make room and I'll see you soon." Moving away from the doorway, he motioned for me to go first. Taking him up on his gesture, I ran hurriedly down the long, and empty corridor.
Home. Was all I saw, as I made it to the wide doors, and out into the earthly atmosphere.
Eliza waiting on her bicycle, she waved,"Come on let's go home!"
Hopping on behind her I held her tightly, as she rode off into the heat, the sun beaming down happily on her tanned skin. "I saw you talking to that dick face Joss, don't tell me you like him!"
"Of course I don't!" I shrieked, laughing, as the wind caught my hair and blew it excitedly.
"You're a terrible liar Grant."
I suppose I am. But Joss was on no radar of mine, or so I thought.
