Earlier today, footage was released that left many supporters of the Avengers' in shock. This morning, an anonymous source posted a video on Twitter that then made its rounds on the internet, very quickly.

In the video, you can see the Avengers' very own speedster, Quicksilver, sprinting down one of the emptier streets in New York at night. He dodges around a few cars, making a show of his impressive speed. The strange part, is the mysterious new speedster that seems to be running alongside him, keeping up with ease. It's impossible to pinpoint who exactly the new speedster is, or even if they are male or female. While Quicksilver leaves behind a faint silver trail when he runs — an easy reason to understand how he got his name — this new runner leaves behind some kind of strange lightning phenomena behind them.

The question most people are asking themselves, is who is this new speedster, and are they friend or foe? In the footage, it seems like two friends have an innocent-enough race, but the ending where the stranger shoots off into the city at a speed we haven't even seen Quicksilver reach before, is leaving some people concerned. We hope this newcomer is an ally to the Avengers, but nothing has been confirmed, or denied. Tony Stark, known as the hero Iron Man, a prominent, founding member of the Avengers, has yet to make a statement regarding the rumors circulating about this new speedster.
