A/N whale shello! I think I've gotten over the worst of my advanced s*** and now I'm kinda on an easier path. I still have sports and ye, this week is hectic with a swim meet tomorrow and Thursday, then a science Olympiad competition on Saturday.... huh. Whale anywaves, on to the update~!

You and Sollux had cuddled up on the couch for the rest of your one-month anniversary. It was very sweet, and you had almost forgotten about the Eridan incident. ALMOST. Aboat two days had passed, and you were sitting on the couch reading a book. Sollux was out doing gog-knows-what, hopefully not Eridan. (A/N I'm so sorry I had to.)
You decided to call up your oh-so-dear moirail to see how he was doing, since he'd been occupied with his new matesprit. You shut your book, grabbing your phone. After typing in his number, you held the phone up to your ear and stood up to go grab a snack. You were rummaging through the pantry when he picked up. "H-hello..?" He said quietly. "Karkitten, is that you? Are you ok?" You asked worriedly. "Yeah, its me (y/n). I'm just- ack- sick." He coughed roughly. "Ooh, kk I don't think that's good. Should I come over to help? And what's Nepeta doing to help you?" You asked, setting down the Nutella that you had grabbed. What karkat said next shocked you. "S-she uh, broke it off... said something aboat me being too, loud.... but you don't have to come over- Agh!" He began choking on something, struggling to breathe. "Kk? Karkat?! WHATS GOING ON?!" He didn't respond, just managed to choke out " get..... help..... please.... (y/n) " before the online went dead. You dropped everything you had and grabbed your keys, speeding to his house and simultaneously calling 911. When they answered, you quickly told them about the situation and Karkats address, before hanging up after they said the paramedics were on their way. You called Sollux when you were about 2 minutes away from his hive. "(Y/n), what's wrong, are you crying?" Your matesprit asked. The sounds of metallic clanking could be heard in the background. "SOLLUX! I-it's karkat!! He- he called and. And he's sick, and he.. he was choking, called 911.... HE MIGHT BE DYING!!" You said, tears streaming down your face, causing your vision to become blurry and almost causing an accident. "2***.... babe, calm down. Are you goiing to kk'2 hou2e now?" You nodded before realizing that he couldn't see you. "Y-yeah, I'm right down the road." "Good girl. You know the Heimlich? As soon as you get there, break down the door and find him, and do it to him. I'll be there as soon as I can. I love you, be strong. " and with a click he was gone. You pulled up in front of his house, barely turning off your car and jumping out. You did as Sollux said and broke the door in, hearing a faint choking noise in the bedroom. "KARKAT!" You screeched as you bolted into his room. You saw the small, nubby horned troll on his knees, holding on to the bed frame for support, the other hand on his throat as he continued to struggle for breath. "Kk, the hospital is coming. Hold on." You said softly, coming up behind him and holding him tightly where his diaphragm was. You gave a few sharp thrusts upwards with your arms and you heard sirens outside, approaching the house. Whatever he was choking on was stubborn, and you couldn't get it. You kept trying, and you heard through the house, "Search every room, the call said we had a choking victim!" And pounding footsteps. You gave two more sharp thrusts upwards and a small lego piece popped out, and Karkat began to cough up some blood. "(Y-y/n).... I-is that you?" He weakly asked before completely passing out in your arms. Two men burst into the room, turning around and calling for the stretcher. "Ma'am, is he still choking?" The first man asked, coming closer to you and Karkat, whom you cradled closer to your body. "N-no. I got the object out. B-but he's sick. Very sick. C-can you still take him in?" They nodded. "We need to take him in anyways, if he was choking for the amount of time you had said before, we need to check his throat. Can you tell me what the object was?" The men looked to the door as a stretcher was wheeled in, and they looked back to you as you stood with him in your arms. "I-it was a lego." You set him down gently as they strapped him on and wheeled him away. The two men stayed with you. "Thank you, we will make shore to check his throat more carefully now that we know the object. Would you like to come with us to the hospital?" They asked. Your knees began to feel weak after the weight of what just happened fully hit you, and you would have fainted if Sollux had not arrived at that given moment, coming into the room and pulling you to him in a hug. He rubbed circles in your back as your legs gave out and you both fell to your knees, you crying and him just looking at you sadly. "we'd like to joiin, ye2. He ii2 her moiiraiil." Sollux said to the two men, who nodded and looked towards the door. "Come then, we must go now." They began walking out. "Come on (y/n), let'2 go vii2iit kk. Can you walk?" He asked you. You just stared at him numbly. "I'll take that a2 a no." He hoisted you up, wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. You leaned your head on his shoulder and he supported your back with his psionics, walking out of the room. The two of you got to the police car and sat in the back, you still hugging Sollux like your life depended on it.

  It had been aboat an hour since you had gotten to the hospital. Karkat had gone into examination to see what the damage was on his throats from the lego, and you had continued to stare numbly into space. Sollux was now looking at you with an extremely concerned look, seeing as you had not spoken a word since Karkats house. He had tried and tried to get you to talk, even resulting to a few intimate gestures, but it seemed you would be unresponsive until you were sure your moirail was ok.
    So there you were, straddling Sollux's lap with your arms around his neck and your head on his shoulder, when the doctor who was examining Karkat came out with a grave look. Sollux saw, and his arms tightened around your back, saying "(y/n).. the doctor came out." You slowly sat up and turned your head and the look on the doctor's face brought you to the brink of tears. The doctor nodded, saying you two could come into his room, before he turned back and opened the door to the hall. You stood up with Sollux's help, a bit wobbly at first, and gripped his hand tightly. You two followed the doctor down the hall, stopping at room 69- you would've laughed at the cliche if you weren't so out of it- and the doctor turned to you. " I'll be in my office, which is just down the hall in room 60- I'm the head doctor of this floor. My name is Doctor Miller, if you need me or a nurse, there is a call button above his heart monitor. I will come back in about 10 minutes to give you his results, so in the meantime you can go in." The doctor shook hands with Sollux, and tried to with you but you didn't respond. Sollux turned you to look at him and pulled you in for a tight hug, and when he pulled back he squeezed your hand and you two stepped into the bleak, white hospital room.

HA! Ok so if anyone has suggestions to why Karkat ate the lego, leave a comment! I'll be going with my original plan if I don't get a comment by update day, which will probubbly be 3/17/17
